Peter followed behind MJ, getting out of the limo and looking around at the spectacle. "Wow. This certainly is a large to-do." Peter makes sure he has his bag slung over his back as he holds MJ's hand and lets her do the picture thing.

"Oh please," Janet rolled her eyes before grabbing Tally by the hand and hauling her off to what looked like a fashion designers nightmare closent. "In no time, Wasp had Aura convinced to where one of two dresses, one a bright blue with orange accents and the other brown with sequins and black stripes. " Pick one and put it on, the others are waiting. You'll look fabulous in either, I promise you."
Tab shook her head as Cap and Hawkeye entered, " You're pathetic. Hold still, you can't do it twenty years from now, you're not going to get it now." She started to tie Clint's tie like she had done it before."
Clint said nothing, but gave Cap a confused look but didn't voice his question.
Songbird spoke up, " Quinjet is warmed up. Tony left word his private helipad would be cleared for you."
[Gala]
Camera's flashed enough that Peter was soon seeing spots. MJ took his hand and with a wide smile, led him inside. As they reached the ballroom, a clerk cleared his throat before speaking with a haughty tone," Invitations, please? Sir, I'm afraid you will have to check your , aham, back pack."

"Alright then - as soon as everyone's together, we'll be on our way. Thank you Songbird." Cap tries to flash a smile to put the former Thunderbolt at ease.

Tally looks at both of her options and decides that neither of them are to her liking. For her skin colour she thinks to go with the blue one but knowing with the illusion thing that the brown might work better. In the end she decides to go with the blue one. After donning it and realizing how uncomfortable it is she decides that they will probably not let her stay here and with a loud sigh heads back out. "I am ready I guess." She says while looking around. "Is this going to be something that they will know we are heroes or no?" Her question stated unsure. But if it is a yes, she will turn off the illusiony thingee.

Peter looks at MJ with surprise in his eyes. "Ummm, I was invited here by Mr Stark himself as a representative of the Daily Bugle. My photography equipment is in my bag and I'm not leaving it here with you. And if I have to go find Mr Stark himself and interrupt his event just so I can get my equipment in here, you're going to be very very sorry." Peter puts on his best entitled face.

The clerk stared at Peter for a moment. " I will have to inspect the bag for security reasons, of course. Then you may proceed."
Mary Jane looked at the clerk, "Is this really necessary?"
"I'm afraid so, Mrs. Parker."
Ahead, Matt could overhear the exchange as he approached the ballroom.
[Mansion]
Melissa nodded," Just trying to be helpful." She gave Tabitha an odd look as the former exile finished Hawkeye's tie.
Clint sputtered," From now on, I go clip on." He glanced at Aura as she returned," Uh Tally, thats's a.., uh, colorful choice."
"No you won't" Tab said as she stood up and adjusted her skirt again, then turned to see Tally , but said nothing.

Peter looks at the clerk and then starts speaking loudly. "OK, that's it. Someone call my lawyer! I'm gonna sue this whole damn establishment! Where's Stark?! This is a violation of my press rights!"

"I am sorry. Is it wrong? Should I change or even stay here. I mean I do not want to offend anyone in this thing at all." She blurts out kinda worried especially now at being completely on the spot. Her self consciousness kicking in and she backs off. "If you do want me to change I will need some time!"

Matt asks the driver for the amount and pays him, tipping him well. He climbs from the cab and makes his way inside.
He listens, as he waits his turn at the security check point.

Hawkeye snickered, "And who is going to keep you out of trouble in the meantime?"
"Very funny." Tabitha sneered.
"come on, we're wasting time." Hawkeye led the way to waiting Quinjet.

As Matt listened in, the coatcheck clerk held his hands up defensively to Peter's temper tantrum," Sir, I assure you that this is quite unnecessary. And I'm afraid Mr. Stark is not available, some sort of problem with one of his facilities in Japan I overheard."
"Peter," Mary Jane said in Peter's ear softly," isn't that that lawyer you know right here behind us?"
Matt could tell by her voice that she was looking right at him.
The clerk cleared his throat," Uh good evening Mr. Murdock." His pulse raced as he got nervous. " Mr. Parker, please keep your equipment and enjoy your evening. Just make sure security can see your press pass if they ask about the bag. Mr. Murdock, may I take you coat?" There was a forced nervous chuckle.

Peter stops his tantrum, slings his backpack on his back again, and smiles as he brings his press pass out from behind his bowtie. He turns around and says "Matt Murdock, defender of the little guy. How's it going, sir? You just saved my bacon. If you need anything, just holler and I'll be there."

Tally actually lets out a slightly downed face but realizes that Tabitha is probably right. Although she is still made uncomfortable by the comments made by others about the dress having her doubt herself on it. Still she follows the rest out.
