Krystal surprised to see Balus, "Yes, those guys, that table," As she points to the table she passed by, "They were bad mouthing the captain and I don't know, it was kinda upsetting me. Sorry I should not let this get to me!" She turns back to Balus giving him a smile. "So how is your day going?"

Balus glared at the table and immediately noted the Epoch Rider patches on their uniforms. " Ignore them, the whole works of them are troublemakers. But if it makes you feel any better, I don't like their talk either. Today isn't too bad so far, in fact it just got better." He smiled coyly at Krystal.

Krystal does not even catch Balus's implied statement. "I am glad the day is getting better. What did you discover that would make it better as now I am curious." She smiles with curiosity at Balus having forgotten already the stuff the red badged people had already said.

"I do not know if that is necessary. If you say this happens all the time I am probably being just over sensitive and should leave it at that. But I imagine you are hungry and want to get a bite to eat while you are here, or if there is anything you want to do. I mean are you on duty right now?" She returns a hopeful smile hoping the duty part is a negative.

" I am, but Slycer bailed on me for a break" Balus replied, motioning to his partner across the room. " You want to take a walk with me while I make rounds so we can talk?"

"Sure that would be nice actually." Still smiling she waits while he guides the way to go. "I have never been on one of your rounds so this might be exciting!"

" I hope not." Balus said honestly. " I'd prefer all the excitement to happen on away missions instead of here. Itherwise it means we are being boarded or it's an issue with our own crewmates. I don't want either."

"That is understandable" Krystal responds in a rock and a hardplace as she kinda wants to extend her hand to walk around the ship for Balus to hold but realizes she has no idea on his feelings towards her and also the fact that he is on duty. But so he does have an easier time talking to her instead of talking down she starts to hover up so they are more on a face to face level.

Fegh turns the knobs and adjust the computer trying to point the sensors, at the planet to pick up more information.

Fegh, the planet is barely habitable by any standard - 93 degrees Celsius (200 F) and a virtual desert pockmarked with volcanic regions hundreds of miles long and incredibly active. However, you are clearly detecting satelitte systems and broadcasting facilities.
Krystal and Balus, you hear a loud THUMP noise, and some indisinct shouting. A few minutes later, Slycer walks out of the mess, pantomining dusting his hands and whistling.

Slycer smiles. "Me? Nuthin'? Just helping the kids. Those Calbran kids - kitchen utensils are a new thing to them." He walks down the hall, as the Epoch Rider enlisted men stumble of out of the mess, all of them covered in booze, and one of them clutching his eye. Slycer gives them a thumbs up, which they seem to half-heartedly return.
"So, what do you say kids? Shall we continue the rounds?" Slycer walks ahead.
