Ora grins, "Perhaps we will get lucky and find a boar or a bear and your sword will come in handy."

They set out, Ora is a good tracker, but they have to walk a couple miles from the outskirts of town before animal trails become prevalent.

*she occupies her time with the mare that's carrying twins to keep her healthy and the foals healthy as well and to ensure she wont reject one. to ensure just that, she ensure's she has the mare's scent on her clothes and hands to aid with the delivery. she just hopes that it will be really soon.

*she studies the mare again, looking for the isgns of stress that signals a delivery. Yumi finally comes back chirping and making typical noises of her species so the horses wont step on her and finally climbs in the sack to relax after that hard effort of snake butchery

Bellephoebe is mostly just killing time, so she'll answer the questions politely "We're just passing through. I don't think any of us have children, nor are we here to trade animals. Truthfully we only stopped because one of our companions is helping tend to your animals. As soon as she's done I imagine we'll be moving on."

Bellephoebe is sort of interested in the scales she's seeing, but doesn't want to be rude by asking. She figures she'll have to inquire with Ora about what other races might be in this dimension other than humans and giants.

Allen is able to guide them away from the more well tracked areas where people go. Ora adds her tracking skills to the mix.

The first warning is Romidus' sixth sense tingling as the mountain lion drops on them out of a tree.

Fortunately the clever sneak attack fails and the huge moutain lion bounces off a tree limb above Allen with a howl and is deflected into a thicket. Romidus (or Saaphire if she intends to hunt it) is first to recover.

Unless one of her companions has something specific to trade for in mind "We're mostly just checking out the town while one of the members of our band tends to some of your animals. We are not really merchants, but I do have a little bit of silver I could trade if you had something that caught my eye, but it doesn't seem you run shops in a traditional sense.

If you have an inn or tavern we might wait there while our companion finishes her business"

As a seeming afterthought she mentions

"I noticed a small army of horsemen north of here a couple dozen miles while I was scouting, are they from this town? If so are they likely to object to us passing through?"
