Alice chuckles and says "I guess I was the last to know." Seeing his nervous look, she asks "Are you nervous it won't go well with my parents?" Smiling at him in a reasurring way, Alice says "I'm sure they will be happy to hear the news and will like you very much."

Jason shrugged," Nope. They live over there and we're here. I can't see going for awkward sunday dinners on a regular basis." He grinned. "Wait until I tell them how we met." He grinned.
"Si," there was an awkward pause, " you know better than to say things like that. I think it's raining out that way. Mind telling me what is going on? And what's this about a boy?"
At the same time, Kristian wrapped his arms around Sierra and he began to kiss her neck.
As Tom rolled away, Dmitri crossed his path. He looked worn out, but managed a smile. "Thanks for everything tonight, Tom. Avi said Janie probably wouldn't have made it if it wasn't for you and Beth.

*she worries because her mom sounds a little odd. but that might be because of her question. 'so got any new talent i should know about? well leads on any i might be interested in?'
*she covers the mouth part of the cell and looks at Kristian worried. 'think there might be a bit of trouble there. she's not her normal self just now. it's kinda like she's trying to warn me about something and i'm too dense to catch on'
*she listens some more and tries to figure out IF there is something wrong o nteh other end of the phone

As Deci watched, the wave swallowed up Robert. Luckily , the waves were breaking over a sand bar and not a reef as he got dumped, only to come to the surface in time to watch his board heading for shore.
"Oh, yeah, I can talk sweetie. You know how it goes sometimes." It was an old code Sierra knew well. There was trouble all right, but not the kind she had first worried about. It meant mom and dad had been in a disagreement that hadn't been settled yet. 9 times out of 10 it was over money, and everyone knew to stay out of it. " We haven't had much luck keeping people lately. newcomers come and go. Couple prospects to look into once we swing north again. Keeps both of us busy trying to keep things straight."
With Si's concern, Kristian stopped and merely listened.
"She will be." Dmitri replied. " And then I'm going to ask if I can take her away for a vacation for a few days. Just long enough to relax a bit. She needs it."

Kristian pointed to himself, then indicated more, holding up five fingers with a nod. Her mother responded after a pause," Si sweetie, what have you got yourself into to have that kind of money? Is this Kristian a dealer? She asked directly in concern.
" We didn't get much out of them." Mac replied. "Right now I have to call DC and arrange a new home for our friends, and ask a lot of questions."
"And we need to get some sleep," Ashley suggested, suppressing a yawn.

'jeez mom. no he's not a dealer. he's an EMT .. and he's offered some of his own. i have a good job. and i would be holding off on a car, but i don't have issue .. well we don't have issue helping.
'i can tell you more later, but don't go letting my brothers know i sent it or how much. its for ALL first. i can say i haven't been happier than i am now. i found where i belong, and it feels good.
'yes he knows what i am. he doesn't care either. he's one too' *she lets her mom ask more info and answers the questions. 'alright mom. i'll wire what i can to that account, and no i'm not going to be hurting after this. its for family, right? tomorrow at noon. yes, i'll let him know mom. give dad a hug from me . . . gotta go now mom. i'll try to call tomorrow night'
