Ch. 59 The Break In

Alice frowns in confusion at Sierra's bloodthirsty remark. "I wasn't planning on doing anything to actually hurt them. I was thinking at the most a simple analysis of a blood sample would have explained things to us. Plus, I was hoping if I scared them more, they might let something slip."

Alic looks a bit pale at Mac's words and asks, almost hesitantly, "What are you saying? They're clones?"

" There's no other explanation." MacColter replied with a shrug. " They look identical, share powers and even feel similar to Sierra's sensing abilities. I have to make some inquiries, we need to know who has their hands on that technology. Wraith's goon squad may not be our biggest threat after all."

Beth chuckled at Tom, and muttered under her breath," _{Who you gonna call...}

Tom chuckles back, happy more for Beth's lightening mood than anything else.

[Dome]

Isamu looks completely confused, "what is a proton pack. Is it a power source? How would that relate to dealing with an ancient spirit?"

[HSummers]

"Nice to meet you, December. Marine Biologist, eh? I'm a engineer myself." Robert walks with Deci to the beach, taking in the fresh air and enjoying the chance to get to know one of his new teammates. "How long have you been with these folks?"

"Two weeks I think. Maybe a little longer. I am relatively new here myself having joined just after landing back in the the populated world. To be honest I am relatively new to my super powers too so it has been an interesting ride." Trying not to take all the talking time up and giving him a chance to respond which as it is, is a fight against her natural instincts.

Tom makes an uncomfortable grimace. "Uhm...I don't think so. Maybe we should talk this over with our handler?"

[dakota]

" Your handler?" It was Beth's turn to be confused. " Who is your handler?"


Deci and Robert have the entire beach to themselves. whoever the neighboring houses belong to, none of them seem to use the semi private waterfront.

'Sorry Alice. didn't mean to make you upset about anything. think i'll go sit on th ... well, on my room balcony then. don't want to intrude on anyone's time now. oh yeah .. Arc's family. they're currently on the road with a troupe. mom's connectiosn and stuff. speaking of her . . maybe i should call her and talk . . . excuse me. if i'm not needed now, i'ld like to make a personal call.

"Secret Agent man - our contact point with the government bureaucracy." Tom explains

Deci still waiting for a response out of Robert (I know it is RL commitments so I am not worried) scans the sea for anything of interest.

Alice shows that she isn't mad at Sierra as she nods and tells her, smiling politely, "Ok, sure, go ahead. Thank you for all of your help, especially with getting the deal with Arc together. I appreciate it."

[HSummers]

"Having super powers at all...that's pretty damn cool. Me, I just train like a maniac and I'm real good in a fight."

[dakota]

" Oh, you must mean the older guy? Can't remember his name." Beth said with a slight nod of starting to understand.


Dylan nodded to Alice and Sierra," I'll be in the war room. Thank you ladies."

The patio door opened and Jason came in just ahead of Ashley. He hid behind Alice," Save me from her. Please."

Ashley stopped and folded her arms, rolling her eyes. "Sierra, I think Kristian is waiting for you. He's up on the upper deck and keep peeking down towards the door."


Deci, it's an almost boring night. (which should be a welcome change).
