Ch. 59 The Break In

[Dome]

"Well we have seen a wide variety of varying abilities. It is doubtful that we have encountered them all. Not to mention there are other possibilities such as the occult or supernatural abilities that are even beyond logical reasoning. We will need more evidence to be sure."

He looks at Tom, "did you see these men anywhere else on board?"

Deci heads out to see what the ruckus is across the hall. Trying to suppress her natural curiosity at this point will not work so once out she asks, "Is everything ok?"

Sierra looks at the 4 copies. 'you guys are boring. protocol this and no humor that .. you're just a bunch of stick men waiting to fall down and float away.

'are your lives really that worthless to you?

[Mierin]

Alice nods and replies "So, he gave you directions in your lab. Where is it?" Alice continues to use telepathy to scan their minds as she listens to Sierra talking to them.

Robert walks into the common room and plops down on one of the beanbag chairs. "Halo fan, eh? I'm more of a Madden guy myself. But I can always get down on some Halo. You mind?" Robert points at the controller near him.

Avi quickly turned off the music when Robert entered, "Sorry, didn't hear you come in. Uhh, sure, theres another controler here some..... there, on the speaker."

Deci realized the racket was actually some sort of music that stopped just before she tried the door. Avi looked back as the door opened again," Oh, hey Deci. Yeah, everything is fine. Have you met Robert? He's another new recruit and my new roomie." He looked at Robert." Robert, this is December, coolest lady in the house," he smirked at the remark concerning her powers, just don't let her mix you any drinks from what I hear."


Alice could tell that Tau was being honest as he spoke. she also managed to get a better view of the lab, which seemed to have two sections, divided by a glass wall and that the clones knew very little beyond the wall. The rest of the section they did know was set up like a dormitory. I sort of reminded her of a hamster cage. Tau replied," We cannot. We do not know how to get there on our own."

Delta spoke up to Sierra," We failed our objective, so not we simply follow our parameters."

Mac was shaken but he managed to ask," And what are those parameters."

The four spoke in unison. " Eliminate target. Await recovery. If unable to complete mission, attempt to avoid capture at all costs. If captured, await recovery." The perfect harmony was almost eerie.


Beth looked at Isamu in disbelief, " Okay, the fact that some of you have weird abilities is one thing, but come on. We're talking about two people switching places in a matter of seconds without anyone else seeing." Her reporter skepticism was starting to surface. " Not to mention, if you look at the mayor's gesture in this one, it almost looks like his nephew made the same one."

"So...maybe shapeshifter?" Tom adds. "I don't know man, I was always thinking about writing this stuff, not being in it." He shrugs. "Maybe I saw something, a lot's happened since then." He looks at Beth. "I change into stainless steel - do you know how many laws of physics and biology have to break like glass in order for that to work? This? This is simple compared to that."

Robert looked up from the controller in his hand to the doorway. "Oh yeah. I remember you. You're the girl from the fight, right?"

"Yes I was there!" Deci realizes self consciously that she is in a bathing suit and not used to everyone seeing her as such. Most of the boys she hung with saw her in surfing outfit instead. "I see you all are getting in for a game. I was going for a swim if anyone wanted to come?"

'so .. a bunch of mindless drones. wonderful. you're useless after all. i really don't think you're going to get saved. do we need blood samples from them? .. tissue samples maybe?

*Sierra stands up androcks her head side to side and rolls the shoulders, before rubbing her hands together

[Dome]

Isamu still looking at both images. Nodding his head he says. "Yes I believe your right. This does support my earlier hypothesis."

He puts the pictures down and looks up at Beth and Tom, "I think that this may be caused by something far different than any of us have experience with."

Tom looks at Isamu. "Yeah, do you mind explaining to us what that might be? I've never been a fan of cryptic."

[dakota]

"Not me," Avi said, shaking his head to Deci. He turned to Robert," Up to you, but it's not often you get an offer like that around this house." He smirked.


At the mention of blood samples, all four reacted, coming to thier feet. As Alice was still mindprobing, she could suddenly feel thier fear. They glared at Sierra.


Beth nodded. " You aren't making a lot of sense, Isamu. Care to elaborate?"

[Dome]

"The Mayor, Leo Siang and his nephew Xue which when translated from Japanese is Leo, are both in these pictures. One moment, it appears as if Leo is speaking to the Mayor, and a split second later it is Xue. I do not think this is possible even by someone with abilities. However, if it were a spirit that had taken on both forms, or sharing the body of one, then it could perhaps switch to the next one."

Shaking his head he says, "this is by no means definitive proof, however my earlier hypothesis, that the ancient spirit my family locked away and has since escaped is operating in Miami, has now more evidence to support it. Unfortunately this is just conjecture based on circumstantial evidence. We will need someone with experience dealing with the supernatural to help us see if there is a way we can be certain, and then recapture this threat."

'oh .. that got a reaction . . . ' *chuckles with a grin, she rubs her hands together and takes another step closer. she's acting more like something stalking its prey
