Fegh still looking at the approaching shadows nods his head and says, "I concur sir. We should move out and quickly.

The group is moving through the mud towards the wilderness, but the elderly and some of the children are starting to fall behind as the creatures begin to get closer.
The Captain winces and grabs at his cybernetic ear before stumbling. He shakes his head. "Ah! My implants just went offline!"
The troops check their equipment. "Sir! All our tech's offline!"
Von Carmyn helps the Captain back to his feet. "The creatures must emit some kind of dampening field."
"We need to get some distance to hail the Victory. Fegh, pick a fire team and see if you can buy us some time." The Captain orders. "Volunteers prefered."

Krystal hearing about the problem goes and looks at some of the tech to verify that they are indeed correct about it.

"That's what I'm here for." Balus replied raising his hand. He glanced at Krystal," You sure? You still need time to recharge, don't you?" He asked, a little concerned.

Privates Wayl and Genda volunteer as the rest of the group continues their rush to the treeline. Krystal's quick analysis shows that somehow, the energy is being dampened.

To make sure they are covered until they arrive, Krystal takes to the air and prepares to throw down a forcefield as a backup factor in case they open up on the retreating individuals. In the air she also tries to look for anything that could be causing energy dampening. Using her multi spectral vision to do so.

Fegh takes the volunteers including Balus and Krystal and begins moving to intercept the attackers. He was hoping to get closer before showing themselves. He watches Krystal take to the air. He directs the others, "let us try to stay as inconspicuous as long as possible," pointing up he says, "with Engineer Krystal in the air, their attention may be on her. She after all was the one that went directly up against Burnyr. We will use that distraction to get as close as possible before we attack."

Krystal, you make out nearly a dozen of the beasts heading for the group. Fegh sees them as swell.
"Sir, permission to engage?" Balus asks Fegh.

Fegh tries to gauge the creatures distance, and also go over the abilities of him and the volunteers. It would do no good to charge out of cover and not be able to attack until they were next to the creatures. If the creatures had any ranged offensive abilities they could cut them down before they got close enough.
{OOC:can you remind me of the abilities of the volunteers? Also, how close are the creatures to where we are?}

Krystal raises her personal field and waits to watch below for when the rest unleash their attacks before she starts to do anything. Does not want to be the initiator of combat.

(Private Genda - Crystaline form that can shoot lasers and Wayl is an armored superstrong behmoth who can project devestating sonic booms. Balus is strong, invulnerable, and has low level energy blasts)
The creatures continue to advance.

Fegh says, "until we know how powerful these creatures are, focus on one creature at a time. No sense on each of us attempting to attack an individual only to find ourselves split up and out matched."
He looks at each to see that they understood his orders.
He turns towards the creatures, and creates an energy short sword in each hand. He says, "engage," as he begins to run towards the nearest creature.
