Balus nodded as he opened the ration pack and tasted some. " Be glad you can't eat this. Not much for flavor." He ate it anyways.

Fegh takes a smaller rationed portion as he waits continually watches over the group. He tries to strategize a course of action where they can be of help to these people, but with the odds against them, he cannot come up with anything at this moment except withdrawing.

The group prepares to move out - as the Captain stated, it is mostly children and elderly, but there are a few adults, male and female, to help. Many of the children are clustered around Balus in awe, while the elderly stick close to Fegh as you begin to move out through the tunnels again.

Krystal stands and is ready to the best of her ability. She does take to the air. and offer for some of the children to follow her as well. But knows with whatever presence balus has around him that they are more likely to follow him instead.

Balus wasn't sure why the children seemed to come to him. " allright kids, we have to go now. Follow the others, okay?" He said it as he struggled to fit through the tunnels again.

The refugees crowd the tunnel as you make painfully slow progress. It is three hours before you reach the end of the tunnel, exiting into an old drainage ditch. The ground is moist and muddy, the sky overhead overcast and the wind carries an ominous chill.
The Captain. "Lt. Fegh, secure a perimeter while I take one of the other men to make contact with Victory."

Over cast day is better then being stuck in the undergrounds of this place. As soon as the light of day reaches her she stops and takes a moment to recharge. Flipping her hair she looks around and waits for Balus to get out of the hole. When he does, "I am so glad to get out of there. Aren't you?"

"You said it." Balus said, thankful to be able to rise up to his full height and stretch. He was stiff and cramped from all the tight space for so long. " I'll never complain about the Victory's corridors again."

"I guess I have never had that problem before. I am not sure what it would be like in your position after all." Starting to get a glimpse in the inner workings of this man.

The group can see the edge of a forested region ahead, as the refugees look back at their city, enflamed and covered with the giant landing ships.

Krystal drops her jaw as she looks at the destruction wrought by the invaders and even pauses for a moment for a single tear to go down her face.

Fegh makes sure that everyone made it out of the tunnel before he turns his attention towards the city they just fled. He shakes his head and says, "Captain, we should keep moving. Once they subdue the population centers, they will extend out to the surrounding areas hoping to captures refugees looking for safety."

Balus scowled as he turned to look at the devastation. [dice=20] " We have to make sure they don't follow us back to Seeron. I'll take Tarloks anyday over these guys."[rand=8766795134961781330147914412506948055469792558836951968218459176]

Fegh hears growling on the wind, weird beastly cries of anguish and hunger.
From the air, Krystal can see shadows moving out of the outskirts of the city, closing in on the wilderness.
Balus can make out one up close - 8 feet from cloven feet to it's fat-swollen head, it runs on four legs, exhaling a pale green mist as it moves, with 5 large emerald ovals for eyes, and paired tusks on each jaw. The flesh is pale grey with random tufts of harsh black fur. The one nearest to you lets out a squeal that can be heard for miles.
And then, once again, you hear the voice that spoke the prayer as the invasion began
"THOSE WHO FLEE RAWG DO NOT FEAR, FOR YOU THE HOGS OF WAR ARE NEAR! WHEN YOU REST THEY WILL NOT! WHERE YOU FALL THEY SHALL FEAST! NO TREE SHALL BE SAVED! NO ANIMAL SHALL BE SAVED! NO HOLE WILL BE SAVED! NO CAVE WILL BE SECURED! ONLY THROUGH RAWG WILL YOU BE SPARED!"

"Um people. I have a strong feeling we should move out as fast as possible. There are definitely shadows out there and that voice. We should definitely move out!" She looks to the captain and the others to see what they say.
