The barbershop was now fully envolved, and halfway between Cap and Paladin's hideout, James was just getting to his feet. His uniform was singed and torn as he tried to pull at a piece of metal embedded in his thigh
Despite being in pain, he looked at Steve," You okay?"

" I guess side kick habits die hard." Bucky replied, the hunk of metal coming free with a spurt of blood and a sickening sound. He through it into the fire. " Patrol will already be enroute. HAMMER's Sentinels would have picked up the explosion and dispatched immediately. We need somewhere's to lie low, and quick." He had a pronounced limp, but Bucky wasn't letting it slow him as he patted the shield on his back. " This thing probably saved my life."

"I know the feeling." Cap gives a small smile. "That's a bad wound, James, and we don't have a lot of time so..." He takes Bucky and puts him on his back. "You let me do the running" as he takes off, trying to retrace their steps back to Bucky's place.

" I've had worse and survived." He patted Cap on the shoulder with his cybernetic arm., then pointed at three figures flying between the streets. " Too late, they've spotted us. Let me down."
The figures grew to three twenty foot tall humanoid robots. Two landed as the third continued on towards the burning building.

The Sentinel took a staggered step backwards, but it's head stayed intact.

Enter Defense mode
Even as Bucky's shield sailed to hammer the other Sentinel's throat while Cap's returned, the Sentinels both raised a palm and unleashed a blast of energy, one at each of them

The energy blast hammered down on Cap's shield even as Bucky caught his own. " Of course. some old guys taught me to always be prepared. " He dug a small packet of plastique from his utility belt even as he used his shield to block another blast from the Sentinels. " You know if I had brought my rifle along, these two would be cut in half by now." He smirked, tossing the plastique to Cap while fishing out a second. " I assume you have a plan?"
With their shieldsoverlapping, the Sentinels had little chance of hitting either, but they continued to hammer with their energy blasts.

Bucky lobbed his explosive as well. He offered a small device. " I suppose you want this too, or will that be making it too easy as well?" He smirked as another salvo hammmered the shields," I mean we could keep them at bay until lightning strikes those charges if you want? Tell me something. Clint says in your world alot of this hasn't happened yet. Do me a favor, don't let any of this happen." His tone was deadly serious.

Captain America takes a detonator. "That's certainly my objective, soldier. As long as I can fight, I'll make sure this doesn't happen." as he sets it off.

Bucky chuckled," Isn't it refreshing to have an enemy that warns you what it's going to do next?" He lowered his shield in time to watch the second sentinel topple over, it's head seperated from it's body, and fall to the street as the first retreated, or at least what was left of it.
The current danger passed, he leaned against the wall. He had lost a fair amount of blood from his leg, enough that his entire leg was wet and stained. " Let's get out of here before the second wave shows up, okay?"
