Joshua stirred with a moan as Cap noticed a sheet covering a body neared the back, a metallic arm poking out from underneath at one edge. Stark placed a gauntlet on Steve's shoulder," I'm sorry, old friend. Bucky and I had our differences, but no one else could have taken up your shield."

The began to move as Elixer nodded, placing his hands under the sheet. Behind Cap there was a glow orf energy, followed by a collective gasp. Psylocke's voice when she spoke was too young to be from this timeline," Captain, we have to go now. We have a situation you need to be involved with."
As he watched, Joshua's skin was changing, the blackness replaced by a golden glow.

Elixir paid no attention to Captain America, only focusing on Bucky as he pulled the sheet away with one hand, his energies focused through his touch with the other.
There was a hush amongst the other passengers as the escape craft moved fairly quickly through the old subway line. Psylocke stepped between Cap and Joshua so she could could look him in the eyes. She spoke softly," Captain, you've done everything you can. Now we have to go. Your own world needs you now. I'll get the others there as soon as I can, but they have their own hands full with Dormammu."
"Someone get this kid off me." Croaked James Barnes from the floor. Elixir, his skin now vibrant gold, had collapsed on top of Bucky while Psylocke had distracted Cap. " Cap? What happened? Why aren't we in Tony's base any more?"
"Long story James. Good to have you back" Tony said, pulling the unconscious mutant off and placing him in an empty seat.
"Back?" Bucky asked, too weak to get up on his own," Last thing I remember was Patriot's place blowing up."

"Easy Jim. You just do what you can for your family, and your country." As Cap slings his own shield over his shoulders, he picks up Bucky's and hands it to him. "You do that, you be the hero this world needs, the one I know you can be, and it'll all be worth it. Good to work with you again, soldier." Steve turns to psylocke. "I'm ready." and follows her.

Psylocke nodded, and began to activate the Tallus she had brought with her. Tony placed a hand on Cap's shoulder, " Do me a favor, old friend. If your world is anything like ours, we're going to butt heads at some point. I was wrong, I know that now. The registry was a mistake, make me understand that if it comes to it."
" Steve, you're not staying?" Bucky forced himself to sit up. But..., we need you."
Psylocke just looked at Cap.

"It needs Captain America, James. Not me." He looks at Tony. "Any advice on what to tell him to get him to stop? You're a stubborn man when you want to be." he smiles as he looks at Psylocke. "Soon enough, ma'am."

James merely saluted, with a bit of a grin before having to lie back down. Tony shrugged, " Te him.., me, whatever, tell them whatever you have to. Beat him senseless, tell him the truth, it doesn't matter. I just know the registry is what tore our world apart, thanks to Norman Osbourn."

Steve returns the salute. "There's only one man I'd count on to carry that shield, James. You've done me proud." He nods at Tony. "I will." before returning to Psylocke. "I'm ready, ma'am."

As Psylocke motioned for Cap to enter, an alarm buzzed overhead that got the passengers aboard the ship into a bit of a panic and caused Tony to run passed them, pulling his helmet on.
"Don't even think about it." Betty Braddock warned as she check Cap from behind just hard enough to knock him through the Tallus portal. Landing on the other side, he was in his room in the Avenger's mansion. The portal closed, without Psylocke appearing.
HIS room. on HIS world.
