Fegh, your telemetry indicates their shields are down but they are preparing their FTL drive for a jump through the same gravity well that you just emerged from, and their drive is still operative.

Krystal, one quarter of the motor drives from the main battery just blew out.

Balus, a Seerman Lieutenant pressing a compress against his bleeding left temple points to a holding locker. "Toss'em in there corporal."

"Gosh dang it all to heck!" Is how she responds when she sees the drive motors down. Quickly going through ideas on how to keep the ship operational.

She turns to whoever is closest. "You keep an eye on the levels, I am going to have to see what I can do manually to start the motors up."

" Yessir." Balus replied, directing the captured aliens into the cell. As they were ushered in, he looked back at the officer," LT, you should probably get down to medical to get that looked at. I think there's enough of us here to handle any breakout attemps, sir."

"Sir it appears they are preparing for an FTL jump through the gravity well we just emerged from. They're drives are still operational," Fegh says.

He tries to determine if the can shoot out the enemies FTL without exploding the ship.

Fegh, you calculate that it's possible but you'll have to act fast.

"Heh, nice to see you care, corporal." The Lt smirks as he turns to his human sargeant at arms. "Careful Poter, I think he wants your job. You're in charge until I get back." The sargeant salutes and leaves.

Krystal, the motors are a mess, you're going to have to work fast to bring them back on line.

Krystal at the motors takes a look at them and takes a big breath. Gods I better get a promotion or something...or even a rank for this work. Nah....but maybe Balus will get a promotion! Bets he would like being a lietenant or something! She thinks to herself for a momentary distraction before tackling the work.

She looks at the engines and sets out to work hoping the others have the rest of the things covered so she can get the engines started.

" No sir, I'm not after anyone's job." Balus replied, shaking his head to emphasizs his point.

Fegh sends his information to the weapons console. "Fire the weapons with those exact specifications," he conveys to the weapons officer.

"Full spread fire. I want that ship captured if at all possible!" The Captain bellows.

THe Weapons officer complies as another barrage hits the ship as it goes to FTL.

The Sargeant glares at Balus. "Make sure your prisoners are secure, corporal"

Krystal gets the weapons motors online just in time, only for them to burn out once the final barrage is fired.

" Yes sir." Balus saluted, suddenly wishing he had kept his mouth shut. He approached the holding cell and peered in at the prisoners. His mind however was split, between what Krystal was doing, and how Slycer was was making out.

"God Damnit! I just tied those down. Lets just hope we have more time to fix them this time. Someone grab me a hydrospanner or something here."

Fegh cringes as the ship jumps. He tries to figure out what happened.

Krystal, it's going to take lots of manhours to repair the damage to the motors.

Fegh, by your read out, the raider ship made the jump, but a lot of their ship was left behind by the barrage.

Captain Robhen hits the ship intercomm. "This is the Captain speaking. The raider ship has been repelled. All hands, send in status reports and casualties."

Balus, the aliens seem to be communicating with each other in several languages - none of which make any sense to you.

Krystal looks around just to see if there is someone else who will take charge. Then realizing seeing they have been listening to her voice only that answer will probably be no. "OK you heard the Captain. We need a full assessment of the damage down here. With our luck he will probably want the weapons working first so let us get the majority of us on that now."

She is surprised the Captain did not call down to the engine room to see how bad off they were. She decides that the initiative needs to be taken and goes to the intercom, "Captain! This is engine room we will need some time before we get into combat. The drives on the weapons motors are shot!"
