Upho Fegh is at the Ship Operations Station on the command deck of the ship while McKay Rogers is doing a stint at the Strategic Plans table overviewing the status of all combat related systems.
Captain Roben takes the center of the command and operations table.
"All Stations report in."
"Engineering reporting FTL online and charging."
"Navigation reports Gravity jump set for designated system"
"Mission Operations reports Bhlaze database online and operational."
"Fire Control reports all weapons systems on general condition."
"Flight Deck reports all Silver Darts on standby."
"Medical deck reports situational optimal."
"Cargo decks report provisions secure."
(Upho, require all essential Ships Operations rolls - that means Comp Ops, Navigation, Read Sensory Equipment, Astronomy, and Astrophyics rolls. Rogers, for Strategic Planning Operations rolls I require Computer Operations and Read Sensory Equipment)

"Admit kid, you pulled some strings." Slycer remarks to Balus as the two of you stride the engineering decks. "Not that I mind. I mean, worse details to pull at launch then babysitting gearheads." He smiles.
Krystal, you are being ordered to take care of half a dozen systems checks before the FTL goes active - roll your various engineering skills.

Krystal prepares for every eventuality and forms a shield around herself for the dual purpose of keeping herself safe. But in reality it is to keep herself relatively clean as long as she can. Pulling out the checklist she has she starts going through all the steps she can. Starting at the engine and utilizing the computer she checks all the settings to make sure it is good and then moves step by step through the list she has.
She is semi-self concious with Balus there and takes extra time to go though and make sure that no mistakes are made at all..(OOC - Take 10, rofl)
Once done she goes step by step checking to make sure there is nothing dangerous and all is perfect. She will even take time to clean the panels when she is there pulling out her spray and rag to do it with.
If she passes Balus at all she will say "Hi!" and if he responds will even pause a second for conversation.

McKay Rogers stands at the Strategic Plans Table in his pressed and clean uniform, a stark contrast to the leisurely attire that he worn on leave.
Gazing at the multiple displays, Rogers tries to keep track of all the varying information coming in as they prepare to get underway.
As the Captain begins to call off the status checks, Rogers looks up and offers a small nod of recognition to Upho. Funny they should end up on the same ship after just meeting on the street outside the base.

" I didn't pull anything." Balus repliedwith a shrug, then blushes slightly as they passed Krystal and waved to her. " I just figured I was put down hear after what happened on shore leave. I liked the bridge assignment, and figured this was punishment for getting involved in that mess."

Major Trokyr turns to the Captain. "All Stations report ready sir."
The Captain activates the ships comm. "Standby for Point-to-Point transfer on my mark....4...3..2...1 - MARK!"
The world seems to stretch out before for a split second that seems like years before snapping back to normal and throwing everyone forward slightly.
The Captain asks all stations to report in
(Same skill rolls as before, plus perception rolls for all)

Rogers gives his head a little shake after the jump then begins checking off all his instruments.
After his eyes scroll over the last screen he shakes his head again, trying to make sense of what he sees. Damn jumps, he curses to himself as his head seems a little fuzzy after the point to point travel.

Rogers, your board goes offline and is unresponsive, even as you notice something out of the corner of your eye.
Fegh, you've detected a small spaceship off the portside. It's impossible to for you to figure out how they managed to evade your sensors, but you think they must have been hiding at the gravity well, lying in wait to attack the first ship to exit the well.
Not that this matters as a portal opens on the Command Deck as well as on the Engine level and Aliens storm out.
The most plentiful creatures are humanoid, seven feet tall with at least partial bionic features. They are rough and ugly men with a menacing air and many bone spurs and deposits jutting out of their bodies (Silisons, AU pgs 119-120). Next up in each raiding party is a small group of insectoids with bright green coloration, and red stripes painted onto their shells (Xippus, Pg 131). Finally are the massively muscled bird men, dressed in long flowing red robes and jeweled headpieces (Gymoy, pgs 78-79), eight feet tall and menacing as they chant in strange alien tongues. There are two of them in each party.
On the command deck, Major Trokyr is the first to act as he flies towards the invaders, but the big bird alien finishes his chant and a strange beam of energy freezed the big Talus bio-freak in place. The other Big bird alien speaks, and somehow, it seems to come to you in your native tongue. "Surrender your ship, and you will not be harmed."
The Captain responds. "Like hell." He slams on the intercomm. "REPEL INVADERS! LETHAL FORCE AUTHORIZED!"
Slycer pops his own energy blades. "Come on, Big Kid, they're playing our song."

Krystal is already in luck as she had her own forcefield up for protection and to prevent dirt so ignores the invaders first action to put one of her own into implementation.
Krystal throws up a force field (1000) around the engines to keep it safe before moving to the closest computer. She takes to the air to maximize her speed and movement.[rand=612469017404289606384435511940079275652826250261669087975593323121]

Rogers immediately changes into his mercury form as the pirates storm the ship. Raising one arm he fires off a couple bolts of liquid metal at the invaders appearing through the portal.

Even as he fires, his other arm elongates into a heavy looking hammer and raises to strike at those nearing his position, while his pseudopods snap out and bash at the closest of the pirates.
