Krystal happy that the engines are all good turns to Balus. "OK. All is good and looks like the weapons for the ship are powering up for something major at the bridge. Now seriously are you OK Balus?" She does not want to say anything that alludes to weakness among the troops here especially seeing they are looking at him for guidance. She has nothing that needs looking at here so she will wait to see if her services are needed.

Releived she seemed to care, Balus nodded to Krystal. " I'm fine, really. I never felt a thing, except mebbe the bug guy pop when I swished him." He smirked. " None of these guys can hit like that brute in the park."

Upho heads over to his console and begins going over his systems. Once Weps gives them a target, he wants to make sure he can get the ship in firing position.

Fegh, you acquire a targeting solution, and report it to the Weapons officer who opens fire on the ship. You are also detecting some kind of forcefield on the raider ship - a technology that the Victory does not have.
Balus and Krystal, the remaining crew are looking to you two for direction and leadership.

Balus looked at Krystal," I better start dealing with the aftermath here. and I guess you have to give your engines the once over to make sure everything is okay, right?" He looked at the others, " Whoever is with maitenance, Krystal will get you started. Everyone else, if your wounded, get to the infermary. If your not, either help someone who needs it or come with me to check for survivors and police the bodies."
He looked back at Krystal. " Once things are sorted and I get cleaned up, can we get together? Maybe you can watch me eat?" He teased with a smirk.

"That would be lovely, I mean the time together not the watch you eat part." She smiles back before getting down to business.
"OK people you heard him. Everyone wounded head to the infirmary. If you need help then two people," She points to two random techs either not injured or superfically injured, "you and you, will help them out. Now I know I do not normally do this type of leadership, but we seem to be under combat conditions and all power is routed to weapons. But to be sure everyone take a station and just double check, I did a quick scan and everything looks good but no need to risk anything."
She then turns to the radio to alert the bridge.

"Sir, they are employing a force field technology that exceeds anything we have. I'm not sure if we will be able to pierce that force field to do any damage to their craft," Upho reports as he tries to work out calculations to determine shield strength and time to damage.

Fegh, you calculate that their forcefield strength is impressive, but that a full battery attack will bring it down, and probably cripple their ship.
The captain on the coms to Krystal. "Thank you Engine Deck, please provide any support and divert any additional drive power to weapons systems." He looks at the officers. "Fire as soon as you've modified the firing solution to account for the shielding. And let see if we can turn the tables and capture that ship - forcefield tech would give us significant edge against the Tarlocks in future conflict."
One of the privates looks up at Balus. "Corporal? Sir? What do we do with the prisoners?" He gestures to a few still surviving borgs and bugmen.

" Round them up for now and we'll take them to the brig." Balus said after a moment, " I don't think the captain would want us killing prisoners. Once we get them there, we'll contact medical to see if they have anyone who can see to their wounded."
He looked at Krystal, " You don't need any of us here in your way for now, do you?" Then a thought occured to him. " Bridge, copy engine deck security. Please inform command we have taken some of the invaders prisoner and are taking them to the brig."

Krystal does a quick check on the engines and other systems to see where she can divert power from to maximize the blast without burning out everything.

As she is doing this she starts to bark out orders, despite not having a rank at all she hopes the military men or whoever is there accepts them. "OK people you heard the captain. We have to maximize output to the weapons without burning anything out. We may lose some relays but here is how we do it."
She continues to bark out whatever is needed it to get it done.

When Krystal ignored his question, he knew she was too wrapped up in her work to be bothered. He turned and motioned towards the captured invaders. " All right, lets get these ones stowed away. There may be others coming from other parts of the ship." He started off himself, deliberately wiping some of the bug guts off in front of the prisoners, hoping they would get the idea not to try him. He led the security detail and their prisoners , headed to the brig.

Upho says, "sir we need to fire a full battery all at once. That should bring down their shields and cripple their ship."

"All Anti-Ship batteries, fire at will" The Captain orders. Lights flicker on and off all over the ship, and shouts can be heard from the gunnery decks.
Krystal, your board is showing a few fluctuations that you need to batten down or some key systems will go offline.
Balus, you bring down the prisoners to a holding area - it seems most of the other officers are bringing only corpses to interrogate.

Krystal hearing the captains orders does her best to do as he asked and does whatever is in her power to make sure the key systems do not go offline.

Offering salutes when necessary, Balus led the engineering prisoners through the crowd. " Who's in charge down here, sir? We managed to bring some live ones from engineering." He said to one of the officers. Balus looked around at all the dead invaders that had been gathered, and he suddenly wondered if he had made the wrong mistake by not finishing them off.
