"... Thanks, Valin." Says a darker-skinne dhuman reporter. "Today, police are finally releasing details about an astonishing arrest made several days ago at the Accountant's Dilemma." The image flashes to a press conference with an older human in a police uniform, and a suited man nearby. Tobrias, to the left of the Chief stands quietly and, to those who know him, does not look pleased. "Chief Tolomere, spokea press conference today:" Chief Tolomere speaks infront of cameras. "Charges will be laid against a professor from Xomo University's acting wing and several of his students for intent to carry out a plot to rob from the restaurant's patrons."
The scene changes to a half dozen young men and a clearly older man being ushered to a paddy wagon. "The suspects are alleged to have attempted a magic ritual to cast a spell that would have subdued the patrons long enough to steal the items then make a get-away. As you may recall, several months ago, of a similar police raid conducted outside the city netting a string of occultists and criminals."
The news returns to the press conference, the suited human is speaking, this time, with the subtitle Councellor Vas. "This is the second time Golthreia has seen such a plot carried out, and the city offices and law enforcement suspect there may be more." Vas sounds very convinced of this. "Cheif Tolomere and I have set up a special task force to be more ably handle investigations and magic crimes. To that end, the city is proposing a means to better identify and monitor magic users, to ensure they do not act against the citizens of Golthreia."
Back to the reporter "Councellor Vas's task force is currently focusing on the activities of the planned theft at the accountant's Dilemma, their first major investigation. The management at the Accountant's Dilemma was very pleased at the arrests."
Flash to the Maitre D. "When the police arrived, their were very quiet and made the arrests without startling the patrons in the slightest. It is nice to know the police can work so politely."
Reporter on street in front of court house. "At this time, the district attorney's office is not commenting on the charges or their liklihood of success, stating that the high profile of the potential victims is making the investigation more difficult, and that Golthreia should be patient and let investigators do their work. That's all from here."
Front Desk, and an Elvish anchor "Sports and weather after the break, but here's a story to go out on: a small poodle was trapped in a well outside the city, but was rescued by fire crews after only a few short hours." Screen flashes to a well, with a few fire trucks, a bunch of firemen, a man and small dog. with the voiceover. "The dog's vet has said he's no worse for wear and should be jumping around in no time. The owner says he thinks his dog's learned his lesson about unsafe places." With the anchor's million dollar smile, the evening news goes to commercials on Coop and Sarah's TV.

Cuddled up next to Coop on the couch, Sarah smiles quietly as they watch the news, glad that they had been able to stop the robbery from happening. She knows it bothers Coop that a lot of other people always get credit for the things that she does, and it used to bother her, but she's used to it now. Giving him a hug, she picks up the remote and flips around the channels, trying to see if there was anything good to watch. (tag)

" Identify and monitor magic users? What's that all about." Coop sputtered as Sarah began channel surfing, his arm around her and holding her tight. " Next they'll have us all implanted with a chip that lets them track anyone whenever they want and zap them just before ..." He gritted his teeth at his slip of the tongue with the word 'us'. " Guess I kinda gave it away. I asked Tobrias if it would be possible for me to start studying some form of magic, and he said yes." He leaned forward a bit and reached under the sofa's cushions, pulling out one of Sarah's books she'd studied as a child and first learning the basic principles of magic. " I've been getting a startwhen you're not home. You're okay with this, right?" He asked nervously.

Sarah looks at Coop with surprise on her face as she realizes what he just said. Smiling softly, she gives him a hug and says "I have no problem with you wanting to learn about magic." Looking through the book, she smiles nostalgically as she remembers reading it when she was a kid. "Do you know what form of magic you'll be studying yet?" she asks. Handing the book back to him, she adds with a smile, "If there's anything I can do to help, let me know, ok?"

" No idea. I thought maybe I'd come up with something if I looked around the library a bit a the guild. Maybe find something that suits me. Definitely not gonna consider anything that lets me summon anything more than the pizza delvery guy." He grinned and kissed Sarah's forehead. " I know you'll help. I'm counting on it."

(BTW, you guys choose your fun. There's restaurants, bars, haunts, hauntings, haunted haunts... movies, shopping, etc. Be warned, though, "staying at home" in a non-PG sense will warrant a long chatty tea-till-you-pee visit from the crazy cat-lady neighbour, with ensuing hilarity.

Sarah chuckles softly and says "Good idea." Giving Coop another hug and quick kiss, she asks "So what do you want to do now? Go get some dinner? See a movie, maybe?" (tag)

" Sounds goods." Coop replied, snatching the remote away and shutting off the television. " We don't get enough nights to ourselves like this. Let's make it a comedy, okay? That sapcrap you dragged me to last time was pure torture." He grinned, as he bounded to his feet before Sarah could react.

Sarah nods at Coop "Yeah, you're right. We should definitely take advantage of the fact that we have the night off." Laughing, she teases "Oh, I know you liked it! I caught you sniffling at the end!" She playfully throws one of the pillows at the end of the couch at him and stands up and grabs her jacket. "A comedy sounds great. Wanna get something to eat first?" (tag)

" I was sniffling from the spices on the nachos I was eating." Coop replied, batting the pillow aside and scooping up his jacket and slipping it on. " Sure, you know I'm always hungry. You pick the place this time." He motioned towards the end table where her weapons laid. " Aren't you forgetting something?"

"Yeah, yeah, it was the nachos." Sarah teases playfully as Coop puts on his jacket. When he motions towardes the end table, her smile dims a little and she sighs quietly. "Yeah, I know. Never leave home without them." She puts on her wrist sheaths on underneath her jacket and quietly slips her silver knives into them. A part of her wishes that she could be like other girls going out on a date with their boyfriend and have her biggest concern be if her make up looked nice rather than worrying about whether or not she had enough weapons. Turning back to Coop, she simply asks, "How does pizza sound?" (tag)

"Pizza sounds good to me. Heck, anything I don't have to cook sounds good." Coop grinned. He could tell something was bothering Sarah as she put on her working tools. " Something wrong? Don't tell me this is going to be another of those arguement that you think I should start carrying a weapon or two as well?"

Sarah shakes her head with a quiet sigh. "No, I don't want to fight." A small smirk appears as she adds "Would you believe that sometimes I wish I didn't always have to be armed when we go out? That I could be like other girls and have my biggest concern be 'Do I look nice in this outfit?'" Shrugging, she says "That's all." (tag)

OK, well, fastforwarding...
At Vino's Pizzeria, the pair notice an entertainment paper, showing what's on.
Currently Showing at the City Hall Cinema:
The Adventures of Mr. Fazzlebok 5: Mr. Fazzlebok Works at a Factory The Adventures of Mr. Fazzlebok series are a Charlie Chaplinesque (not that anyone in Golthreia knows Charlie Chaplin) movies imported from the Minotaur nation of Jolkeri. The diolague-free films are a hit amongst children (age 4-10, accompanied by an adult due to violent situations) and cult-movie goers alike. The series gained its cult status with The Adventures of Mr. Fazzlebok 3: Mr. Fazzlebok Flies and Airship for two reasons. First, this movie had moderate production values, but real moments of drama as the airship careened across a city and the Minotaur Mr. Fazzlebok had to save the day. Great stuff. Second, the generation of kids that started with The Adventures of Mr. Fazzlebok (A condensed colleciton of shorts that was shown on the silver screen in Golthreia) had reached their late teens and early twenties, and had never given up on the series. Golthreia Film Association Rating: PG Reviewer's rating: **** Duration: 1 hour, 45 minutes
Heart's Desire The third silver-screen re-telling of the story of Sarah's Heart (Golthreia's Claddagh ring - every girl's gotten at least one in their lives... Coop?). This retelling focused on the relationships of the major characters. Most notable, the witch who helped battle the dragon had secretly fallen for King Ienni. But, knowing that the King only truely loved Sarah, and loving him all the more for it, sacrificed herself to save him, and killed the dragon. Coop wasn't the only guy to cry at this one. Golthreia Film Association Rating: A Reviewer's Rating: *** Duration: 2 hours, 10 minutes
Death at Land's End A B-rate pscho-horror flick. (Think the Evil Dead, but less ingenius plot.) People get killed, and vampires attack. Sarah noted, during a commercial advertising the film, that Vampires rarely do the hands-up-to-grab-you stalking thing. On that count alone, the movie was dismissed. Golthreia Film Association Rating: R Reviewer's Rating: ***** (Only one review was provided, and that was by the Schlocky Horror Films Society of Golthreia.) Duration: 2 hours, 40 minutes
Winch A buddy comedy about two mechanics that they work their way through life and relationships. The pair bumble their way through dating, partying and expensive foreign hovercars. An energetic presentation with just enough slapstick, especially in the shop. The two buddy actors have done flicks together for some time now (like Cheech and Chong, Mathau and Lemmon, Stiller and Wilson, etc.) and have succeeded in providing at least brainless fun. Golthreia Film Association Rating: PG 13 Reviewer's Rating: *** Duration: 2 hours

( ooc: happy for the ff to avoid a loaded question ;D )
Wiping sauce from his chin, Coop looked at the flyer upside down in front of Sarah. " Take your pick. Just not that cheesy horror flick. Don't want you picking it apart like the last one I tried to watch on tv." He smirked.
