Ch. 56 Track Down (all)

[Mierin]

Alice looks honestly confused as she replies, "I'm not enrolled in school at the moment." she explains "given everything going on, I thought it would be a good idea to take a break." Looking over at Jason, she adds looking back at Mac, "I think both Jason and I need this." A smile appears as she says "Besides, the most important thing to my family is that I'm happy."

"My mistake, it's Tom who is still in class. I can arrange a flight for you, but there is a problem." Mac said. " There are outstanding issues for Jason overseas. I think the two of you should take along some backup. Worst case, they have to bale you out, best case they get a few days vacation. You wouldn't have to associate with them, just be able to call if you need assistance once you get off the plane."


Kristian raised a brow in curiousity. " Oh really? and I thought we were just going to sit on the beach. should I change into something more appropriate?" He held out his arms to show off his tank top and somewhat matching bathing suit. " Oh, this enough?" He held up an 8-pack of cans.


" I won't pass out." Ryne said. " I'll just lay here and moan a bit if it's okay. but company won't hurt I guess. funny, nothing really hurts me, but a couple drinks knocks me flat on my butt."

Tom hovers after Beth. "Wait." he tries to block her. "I'm sorry. Maybe we can talk about this some more?" He offers his most dashing grin.

Alice looks a bit confused as she asks "Issues? What kind of issues?" Looking at Jason, Alice asks "Do you think it would be serious enough to need backup?"

"It is ok. I guess we all have our weak spots. I am just not sure what mine is yet. But had I of known I would not of given you that drink. Mind you no offence but you seemed like you could of used it." She offers trying not to mention what others had told her. She continues to stay at the foot of the bed hovering.

" Oh yeah." Jason said flatly, then chuckled. I forgot about that. There's a price on my head in Europe." He turned to Alice with a shrug like it was no big deal. " Some of the people I was assigned to take out turned out to be connected people overseas. My head on a platter is worth half a million euros to the right people."


Beth turned, giving Tom the opportunity to block her. Her expression giving away he was confusing her a little," Okay. but what do we need to talk about now that we can't talk about in the car on the way to take me home?"


Ryne rolled over, and immediately shielded his eyes against the light. " I suppose I did to forget what's going on. Deci, your weakness is easy I'm afraid. You genuinely care too much. That can get turned on you pretty quick."

"Whatever you want." Tom smirks. "I'm an open book."

"I will never complain if that is the only thing people will say about me." Deci then floats over to the light and shuts it off. "My father always said that is the only trait that I got from both him and my mother. But you probably do not want to hear about me. Is there anything you want to talk about?"

'yeah that should be enough beer. and .. you could say there's something under here'

*she looks about and then not seeing anyone else about, lifts the hoodie and flashes the top of a scandalis bikini top. she goes red as she drops it down. 'i figured that if it's warm, i can .. enjoy the heat .. '

[Dome]

Isamu moves to the bed sitting down and shaking Ashley gently and whispering in Japanese, "wake up my love."

Ashley stirred, and as her eyes opened, her symbiotes immediately settled and scurried from sight. she spoke softly as she smiled, but sounded strongly, " Mmmm, I could get used to a wake up call like that.." She reached up with intent to wrap around Isamu to drag him closer.



Beth blushed slightly," right, I've heard that one before. Usually just before they try to get me to go somewheres for drinks. you have to do better than," she suddenly dug at her ears like someone being stung. At the same time, janie had started the car as they were passing in front of it.


" I ... I.... Uh," Kristian started out of his daze, " Huh? What were we talking about ? Oh, uh, yeah, heat. I hope it stays warm too." He grinned, seemingly checking Sierra out."


Ryne turned his head, and groaned for his troubles. " You pick something. I'll try to answer your questions best I can. I know you've got lots. Okay"

"I am not sure I do as much any more. Most of my questions seemed to have been answered in one way or another. I am just glad this day is coming to an end. Maybe a goodnights sleep and I will be raring to go in the morn. Or maybe calling my mother to explain everything. Hey...want to go on a vacation to Canada so I can break this all to my mother?" She gives a grin even if he does not see it. "Either that or is there anything you think I should know?"

"What's wrong?" Tom asks Beth.

[Mierin]

Alice frowns, though it's clear that she's not mad rather she's just confused. "How do you forget something like that?" she asks Jason in a bewildered tone of voice. Looking discouraged, she says "Maybe it's not worth the risk." Alice sighs quietly.

Sierra grins even more. 'ready to head out then? .. got the blanket and stuff?'

*she grabs the paperwork and puts a heavy oject on it on the kitchen table as she passes through the others on her way out the door. 'some paperwork that i need Alice and Iz to look over and give their okay on. i'm off for a couple of hours. later ... '

*she waits for Kristian to catch up and will head out after that. she needs a few hours alone time to regain her center of balance. once she knows no one else is watching her outside of Kristian, she will romove the hoodie part and dawdle along now with him, feet in the waves lapping the shore
