Jason shrugged. " Look how much has gone on since we met, alice. I haven't been to Europe in two years, so it slipped my mind. Besides, you weren't planning a side trip anywheres near Italy, right?"

MacColter shook his head, " don't encourage him, Alice. But he's right if I recall. London should be fairly safe, but I would still prefer someone along in call range in case you need them, whether you go now or down the road."



Ryne chuckled. "do you think we can handle you raring to go? Hold it, Canada? No way, you aren't flying me that far. I don't know what else there is for you to learn about us." He paused. " did anyone tell you what happened in Atlanta?" He suddenly seemed to sober as he asked.


Beth looked up as she relaxed again. It was clear she hadn't heard him speak to her, but she pointed to her implant, "Engine's too loud. Had to turn them off until we get in."


Sierra was only a few hundred yards from the house when Kristian jogged to catch up, the beer in one hand and blanket tucked under his arm as he took her hand in the other. Kristian broke the enjoyable silence after a few minutes," I'm glad your getting over your subconsciousness about your skin. Makes me alot less worried you'll get upset if I do this," he said before pulling her close to stand ankle deep in the surf and embracing her with his free hand so he could kiss her

"oh. Sorry." Tom frowns a little.

"No. I do not think any one has." Stretching the truth a bit as she heard some but did not want to get into something that may be personal. "I figured if you wanted to mention it you would. But until then it is none of my business."

Alice shakes her head as she replies "No, I'm not planning a side trip to Italy. My parents live in the outskirts of London." Alice nods at Mac "Ok, better to be safe than sorry, I guess."

Sierra is just a little shocked. she smiles then goes pink as her hands circle his neck. it is about a minute later she realizes her hands are empty

'i'm glad .. oh jeez .. my hoodie .. guess i'll have to be content without it. oh, there it is' *she releases his hand to wade out to the waist to grab it, then returns with it sopping wet as well as the shorts being held in one hand. 'uhh, didn't account for that happening ..

[Dome]

Isamu smiles and allows her to grab him. "I would love to be the one to wake you everyday."

"Mmmm" Ashley smiled, still drowsy from just waking." Never would have guessed you were the romantic type, Isamu." she glanced at the window and saw it was starting to get dark out," what wrong? Something must be up if you're waking me. What is it?" she asked in concern.


"Heh, good thing I plan ahead then" Kristian grinned as he lifted the blanket under his arm to reveal a pair of towels. " And I thought it would take a miracle to convince you to go in the water with me again. Though I'd be content to just sit on the beach and enjoy the view." He didn't make it clear what 'view' he was referring to.


Beth was clearly an expert at reading lips. " Don't blame yourself, you didn't start the car, right? Don't go all Mister Sensetivity on me, it'll ruin the tough guy image I have of you." she grinned as she opened the door for Tom, being sure to face him in case he said anything.


" I think it is, Deci." Ryne said, forcing himself to roll over and sit up. " You might think differently once I tell you, but everyone in the house deserves to know the truth. Before I came to Miami, I was in charge of another team in Atlanta. On an assignment, my mind was manipulated to the point that I attacked my team and..., Deci, I decimated the team. The lucky ones are in critical condition in an Atlanta hospital. I was so upset afterwards that I came home , it took the others to convince me not to do something stupid and throwing everything away. So I agreed to join this team, but I'll never trust myself to be in charge again." It was clear he was dumbing things down, though probably not intentional judging by the way he slurred a bit.


" Good, but now the hard part." Dylin said . " Who to send? I need Sierra and Kristian to keep working this thing with Arc, and if you're out of the country, Isamu should stay here."

Jason shrugged," Up to you, bosslady" Then he chuckled, like a thought had occured to him.

Tom levitates out of his chair into the car. "As you wish." As he magnetically lifts, folds, and places his chair in the trunk.

Deci listens to Ryne's story. "This was not your fault, although having some one manipulate your mind could be conscrewed as such. I do not judge people on their past but on the current. That is what both my parents taught me. Especially my hippy mother. You would like her, too bad she was not single." She gives Ryne a playful smile. "But in all seriousness. What happened was not your fault and I know you may or may not accept that but I already do."

Deci then stops for a moment. "Perhaps it would not be a good idea for you to be on your own right now. Are you capable of walking or anything. Because we could go for a walk and clear your mind or just sit here and continue to chat." As there is no way I am leaving him by himself while intoxicated and in this depressed state.

[Dome]

"Nothing is wrong my love. You took a bad hit today. I just wanted to make sure you are ok. I hear sleeping after head trauma may be dangerous. Also I was wondering if you were hungry. You must eat to keep your strength up," Isamu says as he moves some hair away from her face.

'well might as well take these off. water's making them too loose now .. ' *she wades out a bit and then after a bit is walking out .. the shorts and sandles in the other hand. she transfers the hoodie and holds his hand as she moves along.

'so .. what view was it you were talking about?' *looks out over the water* 'oh so cool .. look at the sunsetting .. i bet the colors are gonna be wonderful tonight. what do you think?' *she gives him a gentle tug before looking back at him. eyes seem aglow now. this is the first time she's worn soemthing like this and she is a bit timid, even if she should be used to this. this is the 'real' Si .. not one that she wears a mask for

" Oh." Ashley said with a relieved tone. " Sure, something to eat sounds good." without thinking of modesty, she pulled the covers back and got up to get dressed. " Did you have something in mind?"


Bath watched in amazement. " That is so cool. How do you do it? What else can you do?" She asked as she got in the car, turning her implants back on.

Janie chuckled as they pulled away," you sound like I did when I first learned about Dmitri's powers.



" I can walk, I think." ryne said, slowly getting to his feet. His words were becoming clearer and he wasn't as dazed.

A knock came at the door," Hey, you up yet, big guy? I just heard those underground fighters are still at it and..., oh," he apologized when he saw Deci," didn't realize you had company, bud."


Kristian dropped the beer and blanket in the sand. He clearly wasn't looking at the sunset. " Yeah, the sunset is cool. I've..., Si, you've never acted like this before, or dressed like it. It's like you're a totally different person. I'm not complaining one bit, you just really suprised me."

"Mostly stuff I can't show you in the car." Tom smiles. "But maybe later."

[Dome]

Isamu blushes as Ashley gets up. He can't help but look at her before turning away shyly. He says, "I did not have anything particular in mind. Just concerned about you. I was just sitting here watching you sleep and thinking. I realized you might be hungry."

Deci turns to see who is there. "Oh we were just talking is all. But if something important is going on I will let you talk it out."
