Ch. 56 Track Down (all)

'seems that i have to do the paperwork. and if there are any objections, then its all kiboshed. Alice or Izamu can make it die before it sees light. and the wraps sound great .. gimme about 10 more minutes? i'm almost done.

*writes a little more then looks up. 'did you know their talking about a loose spirit? i thought that might have been what i sensed earlier. then Beth, the reporter friend of Tom's said that she's heard that the new Cure can make people's powers all fuzzy. odd huh? wonder how she knew that?'

Sierra kisses Kristian, and with a smile continues on her work again

"Hey, don't look at me, I'm majoring in creative writing and general science." Tom shrugs. "but it sounds like a start, maybe we can work that angle?"

[dakota]

" I don't think Mac will kibosh your efforts, Si." Kristian said, waiting until she pulled away from the kiss. A spirit? Well, I guess anything is possible after that crazyness with that creep from the morgue and his zombies." He left her plate sit away from her papers as he ate one of the two he'd made for himself.


Avi patted Deci on the shoulder with a smile," I'll get it back somehow. You're doing exactly what Ryne needs right now. I don't know how much anyone has told you about what he's been through in the past couple days, but the best thing the big lug needs is someone to just be there as a friend for him simply because you want to."


Janie laughed as she dropped the keys into her pocket," Beth, I gotta warn you. Once you offer help, you get sucked in by this group. It's infectious."

Beth smiled, then glanced at Tom." I started out in a creative writing class, I just found that the news was alot more unbeleivable at times than science fiction and switched to journalism."

Dylin nodded to Isamu, " contact your relatives for more information by all means, then see what Sierra has come up with. I have an important call to make of my own in about ten minutes. All of you should be trying to unwind though, it's been a long day. Excuse me." He said, ducking away towards the waiting Jason and Alice.

Janie looked at Tom and Beth," So, are we going or what?" She turned to Isamu, " and you need to see to Ashley. This can wait until tomorrow."


MacColter approached, seemingly in good spirits," Good to see you up and around so soon, Jason."

" Avi does good work." Jason replied," Ummm, alice has something to ask..., well, we both do."

Tom looks at Beth. "I'm ready when she is."

Deci smiles at the response she is given and actually makes her feel better. As it seems she has nothing to do here she actually decides to head up and check on Ryne. Too make sure she does not wake anyone else that may be sleeping she uses her flight up and knocks lightly on the door. "Ryne. Are you ok?"

[Dome]

Isamu nods and says, "you are correct Janie. Actually it will have to wait until this evening. With the time difference it will be the best time to reach my uncle in his office."

Isamu turns to Beth. "I am glad to see that you are well. Thank you for your help with this matter."

He then walks away and heads back to see how Ashley is doing.

[dakota]

Deci was answered by a groaned " Uh huh. It's open" . When she opened the door, she found him sprawled on the bed on his stomach. He'd managed to get one shoe off before flopping. " Go ahead, make fun."


Beth laughed. " Okay, I get the hint. Tom wants to get rid of the snoopy reporter." she waved to the others. " Nice to meet you all, glad I could after what you did for me." She turned and started to follow Janie.


When he returns to their room, Isamu finds Ashley sound asleep, but as he watched, her symbiotes were extremely active

She takes a moment to think how in some respect this is amusing and gives herself a quick internal smile. "I would never make fun. Well that is not true, I prolly would but in this case I will not. Besides I only came to see how you are doing especially after that stair."

Deci would offer a hand but realizes how proud people can be and even manages to avoid out of instinct helping him without his permission as that would be somehow in her head very condescending. So she waits to see how he responds and while waiting takes a moment to see his room.

"Hardly, ma'am. I just figured you might want to check on family after your long day of being kidnapped by supervillains and meeting super-powered government agents." Tom inclines his head. As if to emphasize his point, he levitates, his chair and all, a few inches off the ground. "But feel free to stay if you wish to catch the late edition."

Sierra looks up at Kristian and kisses him and licks his lip. 'missed some there'

she gathers up her proposal and sets it aside and picks up her wrap. 'its not Dylin that would could kibosh it. that's up to Alice and Iz ... but Dylin said good work .. and keep on it. so i guess it did work out alright

*she takes a bite of the wrap and sounds really happy to have it now. 'got the rest of the stuff? i really wanna get out of the house. at least for a little while. lemme go up and change. watch my papers?' *she will head upstairs with her plate to change into bikini, hoodie .. and bermuda shorts to cover up her new design.

[Mierin]

Alice is a bit nervous as she says to Dylin, "We were thinking, given everything that is going on that it might be good for Jason and I to get away for a few days, so he can recover and absorb everything he's learned." Alice pauses before adding "We were talking about going to visit my parents in London."

[Dome]

Isamu sits in the corner and just watches Ashley sleep. He is glad that she is ok. He was really worried about her today.

[dakota]

Dylin smiled, but there was nothing comforting about it. " It is a good idea Alice, but I'm not sure your timing is sound."

" I knew it..." Jason started, clearly starting to get agitated.

"It's not what you think Jason" Mac replied, turning to Alice. "It's actually because of you. I'm not sure your family would approve if you bring Jason home now. I beleive your semester exams begin in less than two weeks, and you along with the others need to study for them, correct?"

Jason looked at Alice. "Oops, I never thought about them. It's your decision."



Kristian nodded, "I'll be right here." he replied as he munched on the rest of his snack and glanced over her papers.


" I'll be fine." Ryne replied to Deci, without moving. " Just... Ohhh, I feel like a bag of crap. I don't know why people do this to themselves."


As Isamu watched, he symbiotes crawled rampantly as she stirred. Her head tossed a bit without waking but it was pretty clear she was was dreaming. On the nightstand, her cellphone began to vibrate, but the ringer was turned off, then the green light blinked to indicate a stored message.


"Ma'am?" Beth looked genuinely offended. " Do I look like a ma'am to you?" She turned and started to Janie, looking back," I was going to ask you if mebbe there was a chance you and I could maybe go out for something to eat some night this week, but not if your going to insult me."

"There are so many reasons people do this to themselves. Usually though people wait for the next day to feel like crap. Unless that is still coming too. Is there anything I can do to make you feel better, or do you want me to leave you to pass out?" Deci then takes to hovering at the end of the bed and waiting to see how he responds.

Sierra moves down the stairs, sandles in hand and settled down to put the sandles on. 'i'm still new to this 'what shoes to where' stuff. these are geared for whats underneath' *she watches him to see what his reaction will be to the outline she's done on the request.

'think it will be okay that way? maybe i should double check and make sure i got all the bases covered' *she faces him and grins
