Ch. 56 Track Down (all)

"Really?" Beth looked suprised. "Honestly Tom, what have you gotten yourself caught up in? and dragged me into?" She paused a moment," Off the record, none of this will ever make the news, I promise."


"Allright," Ryne smirked and handed off the bottle," but if a cop walks down the beach and stops, you wrestled me to the ground and stole it from me. I'll swear to it." He slid over a bit to give her a place to sit. " My ex used to surf, or whatever you call those half boards you lay on, anyways, so I was just gonna watch after I saw you were out."

She accepts the beer and opens it up. "You mean body boards then. I myself am mildly disappointed in this as this place does not appear to be any good for surfing. I mean I suppose I could land surf using my ice but that is nowhere near as much fun." Taking a sip back of the beer and realizing that she is probably going to regret this later. That and she never liked the taste of beer but drank it because all of her surfing buddies did!

"Oh well what can you do!"

Isamu passes Ashley the note. He allows her a chance to read it and then says, "My grandfather sent this message. Growing up I heard about spirits however learning all my life about sciences I had a hard time believing that spirits were real seperate entities. The metaphysical realm just did not seem believable. But then we had our encounter with the professor and his guild, now I do not know what to believe anymore. If what my grandfather says is true, then this spirit may come after me."

Tom sighs. "Let's get this fixed for you first, then I'll explain everything, or at least as much as I understand, ok?"

[dakota]

Tom could sense the metal inside the device, and the break in the small wires that attached to it. " Okay," she agreed. Then she grinned slightly," Don't take this the wrong way, but we won't run into any old bald guys in hover wheelchairs that can talk in my mind, will we?"

"If they have hover wheelchairs, I'm taking them." Tom looks at the device, and sees if he can use his magnetic powers to mend the break.

[Mierin]

Alice looks surprised and then nods. "That does make sense.. but like you said, if he did have abilities, wouldn't it have shown? Why would he have hidden it to begin with?" Alice sits on the edge of the bed, being careful to not jostle it too much so she won't hurt Jason. "It's.. odd."

[dakota]

To Tom it seemed like a simple case of broken wires by the way it felt, and simply fusing them back together should be simple enough. (need to make a repair roll if you try) Beth looked away as she laughed, " Sorry, it's not that funny."


" I don't know." Jason replied. " I know Dylin has his secrets, but this is too much. I mean is it possible to even hide something like that? At least Sierra should feel his presence even if you can't, right?"

Tom will try to fuse the wires back into place.

Alice nods at Jason as she says "If he is a meta, then Sierra should be able to sense him, I would think." After a moment, she suggests in a hesitant manner, "What.. what if I tried to scan his mind to find out?"

'well i feel better that you're here with me. would have hated to have met him alone. we could always grab something to eat later while we're still out. let the others worry about food for a while. how's that for an idea?'

*Sierra seems to have caught her balance again after that fight with Ragnarok. she's not as nutty as she once was and feels better for it.

'it's funny you know. nothing seems to work out for us to actually go out and enjoy ourselves. unless we steal away from the others. guess you're gonna have to be the voice to the others, cause mine got busted before hitting hte kitchen wall. wonder what they'll make of it when they see it?' *she grins as she looks at him and then sighs as she settles down again into the 'gotta get the info' mode.

Beth went wide eyed," Tom? It... how did you do that?"


" I don't know, Alice." Jason said, shaking his head sightly," Maybe just ask him. He's never lied to me that I know of, and he thought I was making a wise choice asking you to marry me." He hung his head a bit," I'm sorry, but I asked him first, he's the closest thing I've had to a father for a long time."


" sounds good." Kristian nodded," Hey, I think you passing out in my arms on the beach was a great night enjoying ourselves." He smirked. " I'm sure the wall can be fixed, and we have bigger concerns than what a little plaster can fix up." As they could see the meeting place, Sierra could feel the now familiar energies of Arc.


Ryne shrugged. " Ask Ashley, she's into surfing too. If there are any good spots, she'll know.

"Sweet. But I am in no rush at all so unless you are trying to get some alone time with out my chattiness then so be it." She gives a grin while sipping back her beer. "Besides I am sure her and Isamu are probably busy right now and there is no need to disturb them or the others."

She decides to have a seat so fashions herself a chair of ice. "If you want one I can make one for you as well!"

[Mierin]

Alice smiles softly as she leans over and kisses Jason. "It's ok. I can understand why you would do that and I'm glad he wasn't opposed to it." She nods at his suggestion of asking Mac and says "I guess I just thought he might not tell us, if he hasn't said anything before."

Tom sighs. "I'll explain, but first you should probably understand everything that's going on."
