" Enough!" Shep bellowed, his laid back manner gone as he got to his feet, glaring at the cats. " You two back it down right now. I've seen enough of this crap, and know well enough that a squad has to rely on one another, so no more. You don't have to be best friends, but you're stuck with one another, so suck it up and be respectful towards one another." His eyes shifted to Tori, and he pointed to the loading ramp. " The complaints department is on the other side of that door, if need be I'll help with the first step."

Even Socrates bristled a little at Shep's scolding, astonished that someone would actually make him angry.

Tori briefly thought of grabbing one of the emergency chutes , Janxi and making a freefall. In all, she felt a bit like a victim, having been snitched on, then yelled at, then lectured by a dog, for sharing treats with her squadmates. Even trying to make nice, she only provoked the two to greater offensive behaviour. She even took the pogue in as her pet project, and would motivate her and keep her alive. She felt her scorn had been more than justified especially towards Socrates.
Snitching and mating behaviour was frowned upon in the Navy, and esprit de corps by working together, sharing chow, and not jockeying to be the humans' pet. She wondered what was to respect by tattling, screaming for sharing food, and lectures, and decided about nothing. Still, the unit appeared to have its favourites, and the cats were not it.
She gazed at the ramp door thoughtfully, then back to Trassk.
"Sir no sir. No complaints here. Nothing that a mission will not cure." A chance to kill would certainly improve her mood considerably.

In order to lighten the mood, Socrates, the largish german shepherd that he is, crinkles his nose, as if he's forgetting something, in heart beat, he remembers. With some minutes of digging in his bag, he gets a grim look.
Very slowly, his determination mounting, he lifts his arm out of the bag as if he were lifting out an armed bomb, hoping desperately that it wouldn't explode. The removal done, he sighs, and sits back comfortably. While he works on his needlework that he had pulled out (a complext affair with a castle, and a knight crossing a hill towards it), he recites to himself an archaic Welsh ballad, in welsh, of all things, about King Arthur of the Britons.
....
Well, OK, no, he doesn't do that. Instead, the issue seeming to be resolved, he actually just closes his eyes and resumes his sensory exercises, this time focusing on supernatural auras and scents.

Richardson can't help but feel bad for the tongue lashing that Tori got. She was just trying to make her own place in the group. He hopes that with everything all said and done, that the unit can come together and function as they need to when out in the field.
He looks at the cat with a sympathetic look before looking down at his weapon again. The doctor has been offly quiet and he hopes that she isn't to nervous about the mission.

Autumn still sitting quietly is deep in thought preparing for the event that is yet to come. She wants to prove herself to the rest of the team. She realizes she may still need to enlist some aid and so speaks to the EOD specialist stuttering along the way. "Um. Mr. Richardson, I don't suppose you could grab my bag down from there. I just want to make sure I have all my supplies in order?" She decides this is probably more proper then reading her novel.

"Sure thing Doctor," Richardson says putting his weapon down and making his way over to where he placed the docs bags, he grabs it and brings it over to her. "Here you go."

"Thank-you very much." And with that she starts going through the bag to make sure all the requests she wanted for the bag are in there. But also with the retrurn of the bag is her laptop with notes that she can make and add to all the psychological profiles and well as a change of ration packages for consideration.

" Good enough. Now, that settled," He reache din his pocket and pulled out two bags of dehydrated chicken and tossed them to Tori, " Don't eat it all at once."
He turned back to Sam and stood fairly close, pulling out the last bag from pocket and dropping it in Socrates' lap as he passed, " Didn't want you to feel left out. Rex from base security said that this beef and bacon mix was the most popular."
" Allright, about the helmet." He fidgeted, " If you make it an order, I'll wear it, but ..., dammit Sam, I'm claustrophobic, okay? I feel like I can't breath with the damned thing on. Not to mention sick to my stomach if I go too long, and we both know how well barfing with a bucket on your head would turn out." He scowled and shook his head," Can't believe I just told you that."

"Your welcome Doctor," Richardson says sitting back down next to the doc.

Autumn sits there debating if she should change her view on the EOD specialist. He has after all been really helpful and nice. If only he did not come off as so sleazy in a way. She is not sure if that is the right word but is all that jumps into mind. Forward might be a little more appropriate. She turns to Richardson "So you asked me my hobby, do you have any other then weapony stuff?"

"Hooya, sir! Now this is some kitten chow!" Tori looked at the packages and grinned. "Buffalo and barbecue! Foxing awesome!"
Tori gave Janx her pick of the meat and put the other in her hip pocket. Tori got over her bruised feelings well enough to shoot Richardson a wink. She smiled at the Pogue for eating the cookies. With all that went wrong, she was focusing on her mission. She was ready to liberate another team, and kill those that held them as prisoners.
"Hey Six, do we have a map-sheet for our AO (area of operations)? I'd love to scope it if it's available. Contours would be even better!"

"Well I enjoy out door activities. Swimming, running, things like that," realizing the doctor is probably more cerebral he frowns at himself, "they were the most readily available activities on the farm at home."
Sighing he slams a magazine into his rifle before putting it down. He says, "I really wasn't to well educated before I joined up. You know, I knew just enough to work the farm," he says, his voice dripping with dissapointment as he opens his tools again and goes through them fingering each of the tools.

Autumn still stuttering, but only seems to be towards the EOD specialist. Well at least right now. "I like swimming. I also like spending times at the range. I mean there is nothing wrong with physical activities!"

"Yeah? I enjoy them. Sometimes I do kinda wish I was more... I dunno, intellectual. Heh, but that's not me. Never will be. No the only mental thing I ever really was good at is bombing. Buildin em, taken em apart. Thats what I'm good at. That and growing some of the best corn you'd ever taste. Not that there is much call for that in the service."
After a moments pause and closing up his tools, "sorry for ramblin. You didn't ask me all that. I just do that when I'm nervous."
