Socrates opens his eyes and looks at the packet. Everyone's bribing me with food, now? he muses. I could make out well if I plan this.
However, like with the previous offering, Socrates chooses not to eat the food right away.
"Thank-you, Shep." He says, politely. "Also, is it the same when you keep the faceplate off? You will find me doing that often enough on the field, too."

Shep shrugged. " Not much point to wear only half a bucket if the people shooting at you know what they're doing, so always figured all or nothing." He turned back to the captain. " You're call, Cap."
Meanwhile, the Skylifter rocked, then was moving higher and changing direction.

Richardson tenses visibly as the plane shifted. He leans back closes his eyes and breathes deep for a moment then looks back at the Doctor and offers her a weak smile.

The doctor remains silent as she imagines he can not see her smile behind her helmet. "A strong dislike or fear is common place in our species as we are not meant to fly!"

"I'll be fine, just prefer being on the ground. Farm boy, ground troop. Keep me on the ground and I'll be golden. Are uh.. Your going to be ok Doctor, on the mission I mean. Regardless of how we've all been acting, we're all soldiers and even though you may not be your part of the team. Team mates have each others back."

"Doctor." Socrates says, breaking up the conversation with Richardson. "Shep may need assistance."

"OK." Is all she responds as she gets up and heads to the person everyone refers to as Shep.
"Um, Sergeant Trassk. Mr. Socrates said you could use my assistance!"

"Richardson? I was always told catnip settles nausea. Humans usually brew it into a tea. May I getcha a cup, maybe?" Despite her ill treatment, Janxi was right. She was nobody's cat, but Richardson was her human.
She analyzed things. It was clear he had no jump skills. "Think about getting jump qualified. That way, if anything really goes wrong in the air, you can at least get out safe. Plus you get paid more money, at least if you are a human.
"Socrates, I have an idea. I know you will dismiss it and probably interrupt me, but we should try. I think if Pogue holds his hand, he might just make it without needing a new issue of skivvies. DOCTOR?" Tori stressed the word. "Would you object to holding Corporal Richardson's hand?"

Sam listens to Shep's explanation and says softly, "I'm sympathetic to the situation, Shep, but you have to keep your head protected when we're out in the field and that ratty baseball cap of yours just isn't going to cut it." Sam shakes her head, "I'm not risking the possibility that something could happen like last time." A brief look on Sam's face shows she still felt responsible for how badly Shep had gotten hurt on their last mission, but is gone before she turns to Socrates and nods. "That's a possibility." Turning back to Shep, she says "If you have any ideas on how we can keep you protected but not exacerbate the problem, I'm all ears."

Socrates raised an eyebrow at Tori. "Have you considered asking Richardson what he would like?"

Shep sighed," Yes Ma'am. and what happened wasn't your fault"He turned to Autumn, " Don't think so, Doc, unless you've got a cure for feeling trapped when I have to wear this thing." He held up his helmet, which unlike his beat up and well worn armor, looked nearly new. " Oh wait. as long as it protects my head, right?" Sam had seen the look on Shepherd's face enough times to know he was scheming something. shep glanced at the EOD and replied to Tori and Socrates," Why don't one of you get him a bucket or something. He looks ready to spew." (Edited then unedited... then edited again to de-edit the first edit...) Stop that, you know it makes my head hurt!

Sam raises an eyebrow at the expression on Shep's face as she says, "Whatever your scheming, drop it. You're wearing the helmet, that's an order."

At Shep's order, Socrates' eyes first glanced at Richardson's helmet, since Shep often referred to his own as a bucket quite often. However, thinking there was time, he decided to just get some vomit bags. Besides, he must have faced the honour of his helmet a while ago.
"Yes, sir." Socrates says, and rummages around the first aid locker. After a minute, he hands a couple to Richardson. "Here. Shep's orders."

Autumn cringes her helmeted head so probably is imperceptible to the others. Having been kind of brushed off, unless the Dog Boy was talking about getting him to wear his helmet. But that would take probably a little more time then they have. "I am sorry Sergeant Trassk but the only thing I can offer is an anxiety pill which may affect performance."
Having been of not real assistance she realizes that she can be some assistance to Richardson. She hands him two Gravol as a just in case!

"I really appreciate all the concern, seriously," says Stephen, sincerity evident in his voice, "but I'll be fine, I just don't like flying. Not going to be sick, or wet myself, just uncomfortable, like Shep and his helmet. I'll really be fine. I'll be even better if we talk about something else, anything else. Cap, is their anything else we need to know before touching down," he asks completely changing the subject.
He takes the pills from the doctor but instead of taking them pockets them.
