Richardson laughs out loud at that comment, "Cute Janx, You know what I mean," he says shaking his head and chuckling, "Oh and by the way, vegetables are kinda like plants, you know the thing cats chew on then puke up in the middle of the night behind the sofa."

Janxi couldn't help but smile, but then again she wasn't sure if that was an offensive remark or simply a truthful one. "Never heard of them."

Tori looks down at her salad, then points it out to Janxi. "The stuff I eat to use the litter box a little better. It's like how domestic cats eat grass. Don't get me started on petfood. Everyone of you but me and Janxi would boot."
She looked over to Richardson. "Unlike dog boys, we realized Humans made us because they either didn't want to fight, or because they realize dogs and cats can fight better than humans. We're faster, stronger, more predatory, and especially us cats, more willing to kill. Dog boys, they're around for an 'atta boy' and a scratch on the ears. Cats? We stay just cuz we like to hunt. It's fun!" Her redneck lonestar drawl makes two syllables out of "fun."

Janxi cants her head in Tori's direction with a smirk on her face and bit of laughter trickled lightly from her throat as she listened to her talk.
"I think that's a little more info then any of us wanted to hear."

"I'm going to have to agree with Janx, Tori," Richardson's voice is full of mirth.

Autumn remains silent through this all as she realizes that she probably should keep quiet to prevent any animosity. She does pipe up a neutral response though. "I believe what one is saying that they are happy with what and who they are and might view the other as a lesser being because as such!"

As a typical cat Janxi begins to grow bored with this topic of discussion and shows it with a stretch and large yawn. She glances around through slitted eyes. "I'm full and need a nap."

"Hey, I'm not knocking what I am. You and people like you made me, Doc. I'm real proud to be in the skin you made me in." Tori took two more bites and saw her shank was now just a bare bone. "You won't catch this cat with a complaint."
She again looked over to Shep, expecting answers about the dinosaurs, and wanting to arm Autumn and see the chaplain. "We could also do with somebody going to the ELINT (electronic intelligence) office to find out if the gomers got radar and what their coms are like. I still want to know what language they speak," not that Tori could speak anything other than Redneck.
The little fishing cat gave her partner two sandpapery licks on the nose- a feline equivalent of a handshake for a satisfying meal and good conversation.

The whole conversation was now lost on Janxi as she sat drowsily in her chair just staring heavy lidded at the doc for no apparent reason.

Autumn still shudders every time she hears the phrase Doc and wonders if no one seems to accept the proper term for her role. She decides it is moot point right now and hopes either her head will adjust or maybe someone will finally interject.

"Hey Jan, wake up! Want me to get some November Juliet? Anyone else want some?"

Socrates perked his ear at Tori's derision of Dog Boys. But, beyond that he didn't show any interest. He was more interested in more important issues than Tori.
"Shep." He says. "We should really know more about the animals and such of the region. If you have scouting experience, we'll need to know."
He picked up the vegetables on his plate, with a fork. "Vegetables." He says, "Also include those without much intelligence, or show very little thought." He chomped on them, again more to know the vegetable than actually eat them.

"He must be talking about you, Janxi," Tori said with a smirk. "We're at chow so we'll remember that for our evening conversation.
In a telekinetic flash, tori shared a vision with Janxi, that was rather glorious. She went to the November Juliet pot and pulls cups for her, Janxi, Richardson and Autumn. She added handfulls of cream and sugar packets before returning to their table.
"Pogue, we're gonna get you heated, and I'd like to bring you with us to see the Chaplain. You may be able to provide some info."
Tori sipped her own November Juliet and winced. "This foxing stuff is mismarked paint thinner. We're gonna need a senior november juliet operator."

This whole thing was becoming less and less interesting to Janxi, all the bickering amongst one another. She wondered how they would ever trust one another as teammates if this kept up.
She yawned yet again, while letting the voices fade around her.
The more she thought on it the more interesting it became to her. The whole damn food chain were going to fight together as one. She pondered the thought with a nod and a lazy smile.
She was wrong this was definately going to be interesting.

"In a way." Socrates says. "Just offering a broader view of the world." He resumed eating the chopped meat.
"Shep, they didn't get you November Juliet." He says, as an afterthought. "Probably for the best."
