Autumn takes a seat as it was offered to her. She then takes her helmet off so she can eat. She does not speak while eating at all and will ignore conversation unless really pressed for it.

Socrates looked at Tori, then the table. Then the bottles, then Tori, then the bottles, and picked one that looked like it might be what she wanted. He didn't know from spices, not caring for them himself.
THen he went back to his own meat, happy that it was fairly bland. "I like it bland." Socrates says. "Helps me to I know what I'm eating." And, he didn't say it, but he knew humans wanted the spice because they were afraid of meat not tasting just cut. Plus, he often found that meats blandly cooked did sometimes carry the flavours of when they were raw - something that helped a lot when tracking. He was curious if it would be the same in this case.

Pressed to enter the handball game, especially by a smug Tori, Jan said, "No, I have retard strength. It's all good."
When the Skylifter alighted, Jan carried her load and followed Tori into the chow hall. The dinosaur meat was a bit shocking, but smelled good. She grabbed a leg from the chow line and took a bite. "Yeah T-bag you f'ing hunt. They need a little salt!"
Jan packed her plate with a ladle of cottage cheese and poured paprika on it. She looked at Autumn and displayed her fangs. "Sorry, is anything good on your plate? Got some brains?"

"Brains? I think the Doctor's plenty smart don't you Soc," Richardson says around a mouthful of food.

Autumn continues to eat away making note of what was said. She is baffled by these individuals talking during meal which she considers tabboo, as meal time was for eating and discussion comes after. When finished she finally speaks even if Janxi leaves. "Now I am confused by what you mean. You are all assuming this is a dinosaur of some sort, and if it is then one would assume that the brain as I have read is small for it's size. Also one would not that there is no brain matter to speak of in here. I am not sure what piece it is but I am sure that it is not brain!"

Tori giggled at her friend's comment. Janxi knew just the wrong things to say. She was brilliant.
"Thanks Socrates." She splashed chipotle onto her dinosaur and chomped away as if she'd not eaten in a week. Cat metabolisms required a lot of calories from protein.
She looked over to Shep, who seemed to be eating giant lizard flesh with gusto. "Hey XO? Can these things bite through hard armor? Do we need anti-armor weapons to take them down?"
If a shotgun was enough, Tori might just hunt them herself. If she needed lasers, she would do her best to avoid them.
"Also, two favors after chow, XO? Can we get the pogue squared away with a couple of weapons, and can Janxi and I see the post chaplain?" Tori certainly did not seem the religious sort, having taken the Lord's name in vain at least 100 times since oh-dark-thirty this morning.

Jan raised a dark brow at Autumn’s comment. “That was an unnecessarily long answer to a short question.” She chuckled as she ran her tongue along her sharp canines while pushing her empty plate away.
“Why you so put out by brains, ever try them? Not bad with the right seasoning you know?”
Unfortunately for her the doc had grabbed the large cats attention. “Hey doc, question, ever have a house cat?” Jan wiggled her brows and laughed softly.

Autumn sits there perplexed by this new outcome but not one to avoid the questions.
"I am not afraid to eat brains, just for my being I have never been fond of the taste. I am actually not all that big on meats preferring vegetables and fruits but do understand the necessity of taking in protein. As to answer the question about a pet, no Dr Bradford considered pets to be frivolous even though my sister was allowed one."

"Brains are good sauteed, but I like them best fresh," Tori said with a purr, nuzzling Janxi. "As for pets, I can tell you ain't never had a cat. You don't pick cats, they pick you. And if a cat ever picks you, you better not think it's friv'lous, cuz yer luckier than most humans."
At that, she looked over to Richardson, and gave that slow cat blink. She returned to her lunch, attacking her salad, but returning quickly to the dinosaur shank.

Richardson smiles at the Doctor's response. He keeps eating as the Doctor and the cats talk. He does cringe when they call her "Doc" since he knows she doesn't like that.

Janxi turns to Tori with a perplexed look of her own then back to the doc. "Vegetables? What the hell are those? Tori, did I hear her right?" As if the concept was completely foreign to her. She narrows her eyes at the doc and you can almost see her thoughts. "You really are human aren't you?"

The question riles up Richardson, not because it was directed at the doctor, but just because it was said at all.
"Whats wrong with being human? I like it personally," he asks in an indignant tone.

Jan gives him a slow lazy smile as she leans back in her chair. "Do you really want me to make a list?"

"What? You got a list on what's wrong with being human too?"
