" Hello." McKenna replied in greetings with a slight smile. She didn't have to think hard to understand Jessica's coldness, but this wasn't the place to discuss it, not in front of a crowd. " Sorry, I just had to drop something off from hydroponics," she motioned towards the basket of tomatoes, " I didn't realize you'd be bringing our travellers here yet. Unless there's something I'm needed for, I'll get out of the way here." She held her smile, with all intentios of slipping out.

Mr. Von Donnigan's eyes visibly moved to the bandaged hand attached to McKenna's arm. He mentioned something to his friends in an east-european language, who nodded.
The children looked over at McKenna's tomatos. "Oh, we have those on Earth, too." Eric said, the excitement at super-space vegetables ebbing at discovering they resemble the ones he sees on Earth.

On the bridge, Foreman finds himself out in space, once more.
Xavier finds the engines running just peachily...

Foreman looks out at space, smiles and can't help but think, 'Man it's empty, always is, isn't it.'
He continually checks the ships sensors to make sure its still empty out there, and he makes sure that they are on course.

"Computer..The latest Manchester game. Audio only" Mensk instructed to an unused monitor. The upgrades were decent work. He was looking over the board and waited for his cue..

McKenna smiled. She wasn't very good around children, but she did her best. " Well, I would imagine that is where the seeds for ours came from. We grow them in a special room here on the ship." MJ spoke Euro herself, but made no indication as the adults that she understood.

Until otherwise made fully familiar on the workings of this engine and also any upgrades he can propose to the captain he stays down there. He also goes over every duty log and such as possible. "Well I really hope that it is going beautifully up there." He says more to the engines then himself.

Foreman's piloting took them clean out of the planet's orbit, on a path to Mars, though the pilot didn't know this at first. Off to port, the moon, partly shadowed, was growing at a steady pace.
"Well, looks like it's time for the meet and greet." Tawfeek says. "You're still on duty, so don't stray too far from the bridge, clear?"
---
In each of the engines, the readouts were showing a decreasing Earth as the engines came to a cruising speed.
---
In the cafeteria, the Earth was now behind them, as the Moon slowly grew off to Port. "The moon! Are we going there?" Asked the young girl, her face still pressed against the window. "Wow! The window is so cold, now!"

"Understood, I'll hold things down here," Foreman says as he continues guiding the ship.

Once the passengers were distracted, McKenna put the tomatoes away. she looked Jess and shrugged," Look, I'm sorry I was a bi...," she caught herself on account of the children present," you know, on Carson's Weigh. I hope I can patch things up, cause I think we were becoming friends before we got distracted. You by your new toys and me by my ego and then getting into Foreman's pants. Which didn't happen, by the way, Flip was too much of a gentleman."

"THis is the captain. Would all passengers meet me in the Galley on the second level." Tawfeek said on the internal speakers. "As well as McKenna, and Stephens."
On the engine speakers, he says, "We're in cruise, guys, you can watch things from the bridge if you want." To Mensk and Xavier.

Jessica nods with the same polite smile at McKenna as she replies "I appreciate that, Doctor." She still seems to be acting formal, but isn't rude or cold, just formally polite, as if she is not sure how long this will last. All McKenna gets as a response to the news about Foreman is "I see."
Looking up at the sound of the announcement, Jessica says to McKenna, "Excsue me, please." Calling to the rest of the passengers, "If you'll follow me, please." She'll then lead everyone to the second level Galley

"Ok that is fine, I will be on my way." Realizing he probably was talking to no one as he did not hit the comm. He gets up and heads towards the bridge area.

" Well, I think that went well." McKenna said to herself as Jessica began to lead the others, trying to convince herself. Once all the passengers were moving, she brought up the rear and followed along.

Foreaman leans back in his chair with them clear of earth and the main space lanes there, they have a long quiet journey ahead of them. Yawning, he does look over at radar to make sure nothing was in their immediately vicinity.

(McKenna and Jessica and some of the passengers are. Jessica just went to usher the remaining three in).
"Alright, you have the bridge, Foreman." Tawfeek said, heading out.
Just after the door closed, Foreman's review of the readouts (which, incidentally, showed clear sailing) noted a flitter of a shadow of activity in the cargo hold.
----
ENgines are running smoothly, so there's no point to isolate you engineers from everyone else.
---
In the Galley (the only place large enought to hold 14 people that isn't the cargo hold), Tawfeek comes in. "OK, everyone, OK." He says, getting their attention. "We are now on route to Mars, and expect to arrive there in just a few days. Since we're all going to be in tight quarters together for the next week, I don't have to tell you how important it is to be neighbourly to each other, and not be underfoot."
As the adults nod, the two children get a pre-guilty look to them.
"Also, since this is a passenger voyage, I am told that one of you 11 is actually an Air Mashal. Just to keep things interesting, I won't tell you who it is." Tawfeek adds. "So you will know to be on your best behaviour the whole trip. If you do cause trouble, I have the legal right to frontier justice, where the safety of my ship, crew and passengers is involved." There was a little grumbling to this, actually. Some people worried they'ld get spaced for littering.
"Now! All the hard stuff is out of the way. You're welcome i the passenger berths, and the Galley, but the rest of the ship is off limits without an escort, and that includes the cargo hold, since it's zero-G. You all know Miss Stephens. She is in charge of client services, including security. This is our doctor, McKenna. As you can see, she's so skilled, she and injure and treat herself in under 5 minutes. If there are medical problems, it's best to let he know now, and to contact her in case of an emergency."
"Now. Any questions?"
