CH 16: Moving on... (Mai and Kendall)

[Dome]

"Ok fine, If i mess up your suspension, I'll pay to have it fixed."

Kendall climbs into the passenger side door, and tells her how to get to his car. As they are heading that way he says, "you know Mei, I'm really glad we met. You make me feel... you make me feel good about being me."

"I am glad. For the most part my life has been sem-lonely to achieve the goals I want. It actually makes me feel good that I do that for you." She blushes feeling that warm gooey feeling inside.

"Ok here is your truck, now I will follow you back to you place then?"

[Renekin Skywalker]

(The car can handle Kendall's weight. He's not that heavy.)

Kendall smiles as he gets out of the car. He says, "ok just follow me."

He then climbs into his truck and drives home making sure not to go to fast so that Mei can follow the whole way. Once there he parks, and shows Mei where she can park. He grabs her bags and tells her to follow him up to his apartment. Before going in he again activates his amplified hearing and motion detector before going in to make sure no surprises are waiting for them. If its clear he shuts them down.

(OOC: I never calculated his weight after bionics, because there is no weight stat in the book. I figure about 400 after implants, since he was 215 before, and he got both legs, one arm, and the exoskeleton.}

"Oh this is a cool building." She waits outside while he is doing whatever he is doing. Even after he enters she will not enter until she is invited in officially.

Kendall can tell the nieghbourhood cats are at it again. Though. the ones in the building are oddly quiet. However, he detects no bugs, funny sounds or motions, except around one of the open windows.

[Dome]

Getting the all clear from his implants, Kendall turns them back to their normal setting and says, "welcome to casa de Kendall."

He shows her into the apartment. Being ex military the training to keep everything clean and organized is apparently still intact. This is the living room. Bathroom is that door over on the right, and the bedroom is this way," he says as he carries her bags directly to the bedroom and sets them down next to the bed.

Mei takes the quick tour of the apartment noting that he took the bags to the bedroom. Hmmm, I will have to fix that later. I will win this one! She thinks to herself.

She refrains from dropping anything she is carrying anywhere as she does not want to ruin the clean area. "OK, Bedroom here, bathroom there and couch there. Got it!" She then waits after her stuff to be put down for him to take the initiative on what they are doing. She knows he will be heading out eventually but not sure where he will be going.

[Dome]

Kendall smiles and goes to the fridge grabbing a coke. He heads to the living and sits down in his favorite chair. He extends his hand to the sofa and says, "have a seat. Make yourself at home. You know all rules of etiquette say I should I offer you a drink, or something to eat, but since you don't I 'm not sure what I can offer. So, I'll just say, my place is your place."

Mei takes the seat on the love seat. "Thank-you very much! So what should we do tonight then. Oh wait you have that thing to go do, I almost forgot and want me to stay here and be good. Which is fine of course." Secretly she does want to go but knows what he said and will abide by what he wishes.

[Dome]

"Well you know the note didn't say I had to go today. We could just stay in, and spend some time together. I rather like spending time with you. I hope thats ok with you."

[sasqaricious]

"What ever you wish to do is fine by me. I am after all the guest here, and considering how busy my life has been the past little while, heck sitting and watching TV sounds cool even." She does look around and studies first the Chair and then the rest of the furniture. If the sofa does not look big enough to hold him then she will be adamant later.

[Dome]

Kendall smiles at Mei. He hands her the remote, "find something. Whatever you like."

Kendall watches her look around, "don't get any idea's your taking the bedroom."

Mei usually never having the time to watch TV starts flipping through the channels. "Actually to be honest I would not mind looking at some of these places online if you have a computer or wireless internet. I mean I do have a laptop. But that is only if iti siok with you?" She looks at him hoping that she does not seem rude.

"No problem hun, get your laptop and I'll put in the wifi info for you."
