Kendall very willingly lets Devaris go and even pushes her towards Mei. Over Devaris' shoulder Kendall shrugs his shoulders first. Then mouths, "I'm proud of you. She needs you now though."

Daveris steps back from Kendall, looking at Mei. "It's OK." Daveris said. "You helped me soooo much!" Forcing a smile, she adds, "You let me talk myself into trying the Sparrow thing."
Giving a bit of a hug to Mei, she steps back again. "Look, I hope you'll be OK if I hang back for a couple of days? I need to calm down a bit."
"Oh! Wait. Did you get in?"

"I did get in. And I do understand completely. I am really, really sorry Daveris." Mei can tell that it is indeed probably a jealousy thing and not sure if this is the last she will see of her friend. None the less she waits for her friend to do whatever she decides to do letting loose a couple of tears in sadness.

"Congratulations!" Daveris says, hugging Mei again. Letting her go, again, she says, "I'll come to see you in the show."
"Anyways, I got to go." And she turns and heads off, leaving Mei and Kendall alone... well, only for a second.
A go-fer gives Mei her information for the next stage of the show.
And the producer comes to Kendall, letting him know they want to retain him, if he's interested. Better pay, formal contract, etc. especially since it's going to be in Century Station's Society Hill neighbourhood.
Either way, at least, Mei's going to have a week off.

Kendall asks the producer for some time to think about it. When they are alone again Kendall goes up to Mei and opens both his arms to offer her a hug. He says, "congratulations hun, shame about Dev. I think she needs a friend. You ready for the next stage?"

Mei can't help but wonder about why he needed time to think about it. But until then she accepts the hug and smiles because she is fulfilling her mothers dreams. "Thank-you" she is the only thing she says silently for the moment.....
(OOC - cue tender moment of silence.....rofl)
"So what is this society hill thing they are speaking of? And a week off...sweet we can find my condo!"

"Its one of the ritzier parts of town. Guys like me don't fit in there, but when you win, you'll probably get a contract and make enough money to move in."
After a moment he says, "we can start looking for you condo tomorrow."

"That is cool. But only one problem but I did not want to put it on Daveris's shoulder because we both assumed we would get in. Now I am not sure where I am going to stay." She sighs "I guess I will have to go find a Hotel!"

"Well...umm... I...um," Kendall stammers for several seconds. "Well I would offer to let you stay with me, but being only the second day we know each other, that would probably be inappropriate. I am sure that since your still part of the show, they'll put you up."

"No that is ok I understand completely." She gives a hint of a slight hope being popped seeing she seems to be being abandoned by the two people she knows in this town, besides the other performers. "I guess we will have to find out! Another option would be to rent a place for a week, or if I am lucky a quick sale but for now a Hotel will do!"

"Are you sure, I mean that would be really cool, but I will only agree if I can have the couch. I am small and easily fit on a couch. Or a loveseat for that matter." Her smile brightens immensely. "Are you sure I am not putting you out or making it uncomfortable. I mean I can go to a hotel."

But I will live by your final decision if that is what you wish to happen!" She attempts to bat her eyes so she can get her way of him being comfortable and her having the couch!
