"Well your the prettiest plant I have ever seen. I can get you a sun lamp until you move to your place. Then I'll get you a tanning bed, or I'm sure we can put daylight bulbs in one of the rooms at your new place. One bedroom to sleep in, one to absorb some synthetic sun rays, when the sun isn't shining that is."

Mei actually blushes when he says that. "Well when I was in school my parents bought me one of those reptile bulbs. They seemed to do the trick to be honest. Had to tell them to explain why I was not eating when I got home and why I did not run out of money for food and all that nice stuff. Was tough explaining it to the faculty that I did not have a pet reptile though."

"No dorm rules were against it. Which is why they constantly investigated to make sure I had none. And no, we should probably work on our research instead. I should suffice off the ambient light in the room. Or a bun or something would work, I mean I will regret it but at least it will do for now! I mean ice cream is just being selfish!"
She starts down the stairs to his apartment.
"No I was planning on getting a tanning bed to use as a bed so I could just sleep and rise at dawn to finish the job. I mean I do not need it dark to sleep."
And I am also afraid of sleeping in the dark. She thinks to herself.

"Oh ok and then when and if you ever move in you can have the spare bedroom or whatever happens happens. I guess I should be patient and wait though. I also think that the "us" that is developing has happened pretty fast, and its easy to think about a future together. Guess we need to sort out this zombie mess first though. "OK, but I should warn you that I have been told that living together is much cheaper then living alone. Not that I have to worry for a little while. I am pretty sure I have enough to furnish it and then pay for the Condo fees for a year or two and still have a little left over. But still it is a fair sized place and I will need some help."

As they get back to the apartment Kendall walks in and looks for the alien. He says, "come on sit with me on the sofa Mei and lets see if we can find the Brigade."

Mei sits down next to Peter on the couch as close as she can and watches what he does in hoping to learn whatever she can. She does lean in for some warmth as it will make her feel better.

Kendall instinctively puts his arm around Mei pulling her closer. He pulls the laptop over with his free hand and says, "Let's see what I pulled up on my last search."
He begins to look through his search on police reports containing "zombie"
If that search proves fruitless taking his arm away from around Mei so he has two hands on the keyboard. He starts a new search, this time looking for "Iron Brigade"+"Century Station". He looks at his screen and before he hits enter he adds, +"sightings"
"Not sure this will work, sometimes you gotta just play with what you ask for. The more you add in the less and more specific the outcome, but sometimes you get back nothing.

After their eyes readjust to the apartment's light, they notice that William had taken the newspapers and plastered one of the living room's walls like something out of a Russel Crowe movie. William was busy searching through another newspaper for articles.
Kendall's search barely pulls up a number of hits. The Iron Brigade had been active all over the city but, understandably, most often around the Labrynth. They also seem to be one of the hero teams that comes most quickly to the Labrynth when there's some kind of crisis.
