As it happens...
Daveris was told her solo dance would be on the next day, so she was let off the set. Soon after, Kendall was relieved by the night guy, and the trio set off for whatever quiet place Kendall had suggested (keeping in mind their in the Society Hill area right now).
At their table, Daveris says, "I didn't want to say it there, but the Caveliers are a bunch of tools. The city goes around threatening the real heroes, the Legionairres to join them. Kendall knows what I'm talking about, for sure."
"Why were they talking to you?" She asks Mei. "Do they think you know what happened in the old venue?"

Mei is unsure how to answer as she knows her powers could be seen as cheating for the show but she is taking extra precautions not to use them. Deep in her heart she was hoping Daveris would of let her go alone but also is happy as these two are her only friends in the world right now.
"The police had reviewed the tape and were questioning me because there were some signs possibly caught on tape of a forcefield or some form of protections appearing over the stage to allow the rest of the people to escape and wanted to know if I had any idea where or how it was there."
She is still afraid of coming out of the proverbial heroes closet so waits on them to make of what they will from what she has told them so far.

Kendall listens to the discussion and Mei's answer. He look sat her studiously for a second and says, "even if you did, what business is it of theirs? They should just be glad someone or something acted to save lives."
"You don't need to run around in tights making a big show to be a hero. Government controlled or run hero organizations are just basically military. In my opinion, if you want to join the military, great, if not, well thats great too. Its up to each person."

"Um might I point out, for the two of us that wearing tights is not a big deal." She says to add some humor to their discussion as well as try to keep herself calmer and not react to even what seems the gentle prodding from Kendall so far.

Mei looks at her friend in a form of shock because of how her friend speaks. "OK, you are really confusing me now. This contest you are in would be by your line of speaking a cage then. If you win you will be responsible for being the face of the producers and will have to travel at their beck and call. Is that any worse then being a cavalier?"

Kendall takes a sip of his water as he thinks, 'Kendall, what the hell are you doing out with these two? You told the curtain guy you weren't going to get involved with this girl, and here you are practically on a date with her.'

"Oh that is what you meant." She actually lets slip an evil grin.
"But now I must ask why you do not like the cavaliers. Actually both of you. I mean is it not every young man's dream and geeky girls, and yes I will include myself in that, to become a hero?"
She pauses a moment to think on how to continue. "I mean not to question your views Daveris but take the competition for example as becoming some form of hero. Although there is a cage aspect at the end of it and yet you are competing in it."

"Well, yeah, but the show, the contest isn't slavery because no-one's threatening me to join. 'Dance for us, or we put you in jail.' I can dance wherever I want, regardless of how the contest thinks of me. But the CSPD, those Cavliers that is how they act." Daveris says. "And all the cool heroes are indepentent Legionaires anyways."
She takes a sip of her own drink. "Kendall's right though, no point in dressing up and acting the superhero. Too much danger."

"Oh, ok then. I was not sure, you almost seemed to be speaking as if from experience otherwise. Like you personally encountered them is why I was wondering. That is ok though, must have been my mistake, my apologies." Mei is still not convinced that she is wrong. As such she does not want to reveal anything about her secret until she is sure she is safe, especially considering how she was warned not to reveal herself by the police.
