Kiadan nods as if she had already known the outcome of the conversation. "Very well, Lieutenant. Do we have everything we need?" she asks looking to him.

As the temperatures at the Northern polar region are hovering at -40 F (or ~-39 C), there are sets of weather-resistant cloting and equipment (to help with breathing etc) Laid out before the shuttle, as well as packs of various gear (scanners and instruments for the science/tech team, survival gear, weapons, and tactical kits for the Security detail)
Slycer gets his tactical kit. "Ah, don't you worry doc, with Big Boy here." he thumbs at Balus "you'll be as safe as houses." He smirks as he gets ready.
Kiadan, you notice there is a special suit for you that will help regulate your temperature in the extreme cold.
Krystal and Fuse, you have thermal uniforms, with extra jackets, thermal hoodings and masks, etc.
Balus, you don't require most of the thermal gear as you are protected from the extreme cold, so instead, you have a lot of extra survival and weapons gear strapped to your pack.

Krystal looks at the thermal suit before her commenting "Hmmm I guess this is my first mission and they did not read my bio. Well I am guessing they do not have a bio on me."
Not needing the equipment she debates if to take it as a just in case someone else needs it. In the end decides it would interfere too much with her work and just ties the coat to her waist.
"OK, I am ready to go Doctor!"

Kiadan quickly don's her space suit arching an eyebrow. "I do not recall declaring my measurements to anyone. Perhaps the doctors in the medical bay are more observant then I recall."
Kiadan nods at the younger girl. "I'm sure you are," she says. "Remember that I am in charge in all things scientific," she says. "We will leave digressions of safety to that of the Lieutenant and his crew."

Everyone finds their gear in order, and the shuttle prepared for loading. The loadmaster comes out. "Alright, let's get you people aboard. We got 10 minutes and then our window closes, and I do not want to hear bitching from the bridge officers that they have to calculate another window for us, so let's get a move on!" as he loads the team and their gear on board and helps everyone strap in.
Slycer smirks. "Ah, the joys of flying coach, eh?"

"Wow Lieutenant, you run a very tight group here." She states to the lieutenant before turning away.
Krystal thinking that it would be better if she knows who she is working with turns towards Slycer first and offers her hand.
"Hello Slycer is it. I know I said my name in the docking bay but just in case, my name is Krystal. I am an engineering specialist working under Doctor Kiadan for this mission."

Kiadan settles down on the seat prepping for the launch. "I must discover how those creatures earlier where able to simply rip the laws of physics asunder and deliver themselves into our midst!"

The shuttle launches with a lurch, and there is a great deal of turbulence as the craft enters the atmosphere.

"Must speak with Engineering and explain to them the manner of counter stabilizing adjustements for the positive retraction of the gears," Kiadan mumbles to herself as the space craft lurches slightly on the entry. "Readings?" she calls aloud to the pilot.

"Doctor, when we get back I can personally look at it if you wish. This one was not on my usual rotation of shuttle that I work on. Actually it is very rare that I get to work on something as simple as a shuttle so might be nice after all."
Krystal takes out her pad and makes note of what the Doctor wants done while thinking to herself. At least this way maybe, just maybe I can get on her good side, I mean it does not hurt to suck up to the boss after all. I mean Richol said if you suck up once in a while they will leave you alone the rest of the time. Just be wary it does not backfire!
