It has been one week since the Launch Party. Everyone is aboard the Victory as the ship is about leave dock and make its first FTL journey beyond the solar system.
(OOC: you may all state where you are what you are doing on the ship right now)

Balus had just finished his shift and gone off duty. He debated grabbing something to eat, but decided he needed to work up an appetite first, so he headed for the fitness room. He didn't like to use it, but he headed to the one on the lower decks that had the reinforced training equipment so he didn't break anything. Stopping at his quarters long enough to change into work out clothes, he put his uniform in his bag with a towel and continued on to the fitness room.
When the door opened, he set his bag down off to the side and immediately started in with a jog on an oversized treadmill.

Solaxis checked on Von "getting settled? how is the arm?"

Kiadan spent her week preparing her lab and departments for the launch taking in every single order of chemical she could think of and supply of maundane equipment. And inbetween that working upon the arm she had taken from the conflict.
((You know, a cover your butt so if something breaks I got at least two or three parts to fix; same with chemicals.))

The Intercom crackles. "Preparing for Point-To-Point Jump. All precautions are online. Approaching Relativistic velocities."
(Balus)
You are getting a good run on the treadmill, and you hear a few of the other soldiers talk about going to see the first ever FTL jump from the engine deck or an observation port.
(Kiadan)
Your staff is rapidly putting away experiments. A few of them are rushing out, wanting to experience the first FTL experience from one of the observation ports.
(Solaxis)
Von. "I'm fine. Thank you. So, Command deck? Or an Observation port. I imagine FTL must be an old experience to a Bhlaze, but I'd like to remember my first experience."

Draping a towel over his shoulders, Balus decided to join the others at the observation port. The idea of seeing it intrigued him more than he expected.

"command deck"

(Balus)
You struggle with several other enlisted men to try and cram a peek out the port - at the velocity you are travelling, redshift is occuring and you can see the light of the stars start to change. There's a lot of chatter and muttering, including at least one guy "They've never tested the damn thing - watch, we go FTL and splatter ourselves on a desolate moon somewhere."
(Solaxis)
On the command deck you find Captain Roben and Major Valyr Trokyr issuing commands and looking at reports.
"Gravity well is holding and saturated at 99%" "Velocity holding at 0.85 C. Power is being diverted from weapons to initiate FTL jump" "Navicomp is spinning up co-ordinates from Bhlaze database." "Prepare to jump once we've reached 1 C." Captain Roben commands as he turns. "Ambassador, glad you could join us."

"captain. major." he addresses both men as a courtesy "thank you for allowing us the opportunity"

" There's an optimistic thought." Balus replied to the doomsayer, looking down at him. " If it happens, at least we won't have to listen to any I told you so's from you." He smirked

(Balus)
You begin to feel very odd. First, you notice that your feet (and that of everone else) are starting to lift off the floor. At the same time, you are feeling, slow, sluggish, and your entire body feels heavy.
(Solaxis)
"Relativistic effects are being reported throughout the ship, sir." "We have power losses for AG on all non-essential decks." "Gravity well is at 100% saturation" "20 seconds to 1 c" Captain Roben calls out. "Everyone strap into positions and prepare for jump. Start the clock."

Balus looked down as he was being lifted by something, feeling particularly odd. " Something wierd is going on." He commented as he moved his hand to lean on the bulkhead. " Maybe standing around watching isn't such a good idea."

Solaxis takes heed of the captain's order and moves to at least get Von secured, if not himself, in time for the jump

His holding turned into a firm grip with the captain's announcement. Balus looked at the others," Better hold on to something, just in case." He suggested.
