Noting the glances between Shep and Mariana, Sam shakes her head and decides that she really doesn't want to know what's going on between them. Instead she turns to Shep and says "Are you seriously suggesting that we take these villagers and our injured troops and make them walk for an hour. They'll never make it! They barely made it here, and I think the only reason the villagers made it this far was because our shadows wanted us to lead them to Westvale."
Resisting the urge to punch Shep, Sam spits out. "You're right. I don't like it. If that's our best bet, then I guess we're really screwed, aren't we? Think of something else!" Sam turns to Dyson and says "In the meantime, keep trying to contact the CS Base."

Ellie walks over to where the Lt. is obviously flustered trying to grasp what exactly is going on. "So whats the plan?" She asks the group.

"Well, right now, the plan is to remind Sargeant Trassk that his ambition to get me thrown out of the CS army will fail -whatever his motives may be- as will his plan to move these people through shelling and bombardment to a cave an hour's quick march away." Mary sighs.
"You Clairvoyant, soldier?" She asks Ellie quietly. "A nice hint wouldn't kill us."

Lobo looks around at the collected group, "Listen I couldn't care less about my carreer since I won't live long enough to have one, but moving these people out of here to a cave a mile away is a bad idea. First we have to deal with the bombardment, then we have those spec ops boys after us, and there are more than a few. Me I am always up for a good fight, but we are going to walk these folks to thier death if we try it, and they won't appreicate that. Besides how do you know these folks werent pulling your chain and that they won't disappear when the first shot is fired leaving us with a lot of defenseless people to defend and no way to do it."

The village has nothing to do with this or the Colonel never would have given the mission the go ahead. Nah , there something more going on here we're not seeing. I only see three options. We go north into the forest, south towards the cave or stay here and make a stand and hope the tunnel doesn't come down on top of us. I understand if you don't like my plan, but our choices are limited, LT. You gotta decide, but I'm not leaving these folks."

Ellie looks to Sgt. Smith "Well i've never really tried to look into the future but I supose its worth a shot. (Clairvoyance 23/74%, 4isp, 20melees, what do I see?). Ellie relaxes herself into a deep meditative trance when suddenly all is clear and she sees.......(Insert GM's ruling here)

While Ellie's meditating, Mary starts thinking as well. "Ma'am, if these are our troops, then there has to be some sort of saftey sign we can give them." Mary shakes her head. "Or a while flag or something. Plus, this can't be the only exit" she finishes, pointing at the way they came in.

Lobo looks at the group and at the villagers in the tunnel and shakes his head, "You know this is all fine and dandy but why exactly do we need to die in this hole our out there for these people?" Turning toward Shep, "Listen, these maybe your friends but they don't mean a damn thing to me, we were sent to do a job and thats what I am to do, but getting all these people killed on a gamble isn't it."

Sam nods at Mary and replies "There must be a way we can get a message to them to let them know we're on the same side." Turning to Shep, she adds "Where's the other exit out of here?"
She falls quiet, trying desperately to think of a way they can get out safely without endangering everyone, hoping Ellie gives them good news.

" Nothing means anything to you, juicer, as long as you get your adrenaline fix right? I don't expect you to care about these people, but I do. I helped them get away from Chi town before Lyboc's goon squads rounded them up. " shep's tone became heated as his emotions came out. " You don't want to help me save these kids? Fine, go up and play laserbait for our own troops. Maybe they'll tell you who hung us out to dry before they vape you."
Shep only stopped when Rhys stepped in front on and pushed him back. " Calm down Shep, we can't afford to fight amongst ourselves too."Breathing hard, Shep nodded his agreement.

Sam turns to Mary and says "I propose we go out and try to alert the troops to the fact that we are on the same side. We'll go out of different entrances, hopefully this will help us get a message to them faster. We meet back here in 10 minutes."
Turning to Shep, she says "Wait for 15 minutes. If you don't hear from either of us, go. Get these people out in the safest way you can. You know the area well, it seems." Sam turns to Lobo and Ellie and says "Assist Shepard. Keep the people alive as best as you can. The troops are your priority. Get them to safety. The villagers are Sheppard's responsibility." To Dyson she says "Keep trying to radio the base to get our troops out safely." Sam gets her rifle, and says to Mary "Ready?"

Mary tosses her pack aside. "Yes, Ma'am." She answers. And heads for the opposite entry. "By the way." She says on the com. "Any rank in particular, or just the highest one?"

Still steamed at Lobo, Shep nodded. " You got it, Luietenant. You heard her folks, we move out in fifteen minutes."
Outside, Sam and Marianna have similar results from different sources. Sam spotted a patrol doing door to door sweeps of the ruins. When one of them spotted her approach, they took cover and fired wildly at her. " there's one of the traitors. Take 'em down." Marianna wasn't as lucky and she never knew anyone else was there until a laser blast struck the remains of a building and showered her with debris. It was apparent to both of them that prisoners weren't a high priority.
