Once Dyson left with a "yes ma'am", Rhys only laughed at him a little more. " I don't know why he isn't parked at a desk somewhere." He quickly gave his report of handing the surviving townsfolk off to Shepherd's contacts, who he referred to as an 'interesting choice', and then having a feeling of being watched the whole time they waited for the evac, but things had been quiet other than Dyson's quibblings.
As Dyson returned, he offered some ration packs. " Sorry, this is all I could scrounge up. But they said it's only a short flight base to base. " He looked around. " I take it Shep didn't make it out?"

As the craft takes off Lobo leans his head back as his body is pumped full of sedatives and he falls into a fitful sleep.
OOC-Just FYI my computer crapped out on me, again. So I am having to post from the library, that is why my posts are slowing down. Sorry.

Sam listen to Rhys's report and asks "What do you mean when you say his contacts were an 'interesting choice?"
Sam shakes her head at Dyson. "He made it out," she replies "he just had other things he needed to take care of." Sam takes the ration packs and passes one to Mariana. She smiles quietly at Dyson and says "Thank you." She really wasn't hungry, but figured she should eat and keep her strength up.

Rhys waited until one of the flyboys passed out of earshot. " D-Bees and mercs, LT. One of them was Coalition at one time, but he's definitely freelance now. He even scoffed at us for being coalition soldiers to try to bait us into a fight."
" You left out the worst of it." Dyson added. " One of them was a spell user of some sort, I'm sure of it."
Rhys nodded. " I was getting to that, but yeah, Shep's definitely walking a thin line if you ask me."

"It is not uncommon for Rangers to form allegiances with undesirables." Mary answers dismissively. "So long as Shep has the CS in mind, his allegiances are only a means to an end: the security of the CS." Turns out, the brainwashing did have a few useful catch-phrases afterall.

Sam nods quietly at Rhys "Thank you for your report." She then falls silent, hoping they'd get to the base soon as she really wanted to get some sleep.
