The trailing Sam seemed to aim at his companion before the railgun dropped from his hand to hang by it's ammobelt, the pilot clutching at his throat before beginning to drop. for good measure, both Lobo and Rhys' shots struck the dropping SAMAS before it dropped out of sight below the treeline. The other turned hard, but kept his distance for the moment. A pair of mini missiles streaked from the armor's launcher and screamed overhead as they missed high. The truck lurched to a halt just as the ringing of the twin detonation subsided and Dyson announced , staring at the crater blown in the road by the missiles." That's as far as we can go."

Lobo tracks the remaining sam with his plasma cannon and will fire on him when he is in range. Lobo over his radio, "Well, like my drill seargent always said, when in doubt kill them all and let god sort them out."

Sam curses at the sight of the hole in the road. Over the comms, she says "We've got to find some shelter for these people, ASAP. Any ideas of where there might be some that is close by?"

Dyson leapt from the cab of the truck as a burst of comm traffic came over his radio. " Luietenant, Sargeant Smith, you better hear this." He hit the playback button and Shep's voice came on, sounding both winded and stressed. " Mar, if you can hear me, you'll have to tend the flock for now. Half the party is moving to my house. I'll see you later at our favorite swimming hole." He switched off the controls as the SAMAS circled them widely in a slow holding pattern.
Ellie's quick check shows that most of the rescued can move under their own power, though many of them would be walking wounded.

"He can't seriusly expect me to find that stupid brook!" Mary grunts. "Might as well just stay in the trucks until Sung's men get here." *she turns on the radio.* "Sir, Shep wants us to head for a swimming hole. My Guess is south... oh shit, radio's on..." *she swtiches to the armour-to-armour Com, and, in an even tone.* "Sam, we beeline East for the town. There's an underground railway there, and it can be a staging point for our pick-up. Sound good? Otherwise, we scatter the townsfolk, and get an airlift near to here as possible. Bt it won't guarantee their safety."

Sam's voice doesn't hide her confusion when she asks Mary "He wants us to go where? What the hell for? So we'll be sitting ducks for when re-inforcements arrive?" At Mary's suggestion to head for the town she agrees "Good idea. Let's get these people moving." Sam heads to the back of the truck to see if any of them need help walking.

The escapees start to pile out of the truck and start to act like the scared children that the majority of them are, with the D-bees ( about half ) staying behind the humans. Lesa, with Daryn at her side, looks at Sam in disbeleif. " You can't honestly expect us to walk all the way back to Westvale? They're only kids."

Glancing at Lesa, Sam replies "It's less than a 10 minute hike back to Westvale, which I'm sure the children can handle just fine. If not, there are adults around who can carry the children who get tired." Sam grabs her assult rifle and turns back to Lesa "But if you know of a better place for shelter that is closer, then now is the time to share that location."

if need be Ellie will "deaden pain" on some of the injured so that they can move more comfortably.

Sam replies quietly "Well, Koor isn't here, so we'll have to do the best we can with what we have." As to the questions of where Shep is, Sam shrugs "He's off somewhere doing something. Not sure what, check with Smith." With that, she starts directing the peole where they are supposed to be going.

Lobo keys Mary on his radio without taking his eye of the Sam, "I will stay behind and cover your movement, if anything happens I can catch up to you a lot quicker than anyone else would, besides I can do better by myself than anyone else here."
