The Wizard is in the middle of the circle of men that took their last stand. Atleast his body is. The head is not attached which is found by Derik....atleast you think it's him. He has earrings in his ears, like some of the other solders, but he has some kind of magic talisman/headband around his head with the symbol of a wizards guild if anybody who dabbles in magic can tell you. He is diffenatly dead.

You do notice the 6 foot wide 100 foot long strip of charred earth contains bodies in that as well. Six solders and their steeds are in a charging formation (which storm or the other solders can tell you) going away from the clearing, which you entered, are all dead. The bodies of the horses and the solders are burnt to a crisp along with what's left of the lances they carried. All of them going the same direction as if attaching something.

Meka and Lazarus both pick up the trail going north towards the Old Kingdom mountains. Meka picks up the sent and Lazarus picks up some horse tracks.

"Great job Meka..." he got on the wolf, "Follow it." he told her.

Lazarus whistles to signal to the others that he has found the tracks. "Kurff, Be careful about disturbing the trail incase she loses the trail."

The boy nodded proudly looking up at the man and moving the wolf at a walking pace as he sat in the saddle.

Derik clicked his tongue behind his riding scarf. He eyed the wealthy-looking belongings of the soldiers, but felt it would be inappropriate to steal... items not useful to the quest. Certainly, he could return them. While the others were looking at the flame's path, he quietly bends down and removes and pockets the earrings. (Prowl: 51% - Pass, Concealment: 18% - Pass)

Then, picking up the headband, he says "I wonder what this does."

Falbera follows along as they make their way along the trail. Her hand tightens on the hilt of one of her axes as they leave the massacre seen behind.

Derik - You manage to loot 250 gold, 40 Silver, and an additional 100 gold worth of ear rings. The weapons are only of average quality. The Headband comes off easily but you currently don't know if it has magical properties or not...........

Kurff - Looking around you manage to find 2 crossbows that are not burning or destroyed. And a quiver of 12 bolts still in decent shape.

Loading and checking it over both 'These might be handy' he thinks and scoops up the Quiver of bolts. Trying not bother Meka as she tracks he secures himself.

Carefully he set a quick release he needed to get off and let Meka defend herself.

After a few minutes, Derik puts the gold near the bodies. Let the families afford the funerals. I don't need this money.

However, he keeps the earings for later.

"Who wants to try the headband?" He asks the group, getting Horace and and following on the trail.
