(OCC: When everyone is done shopping and at the front gate of the city)
The guards look at all of you as the captain up to the group. "You here to go after the thieves for the Countess?" He points in a north direction towards the Old Kingdom mountains where in the distance about 2 miles away a large forest stands. "They entered the forest about 15 minutes ago. Their horses were to fast for our horses and we can't go into the forest but if you hurry you can catch them before they get to far in." He says.

Kurff sat on the new wolf and was glad he bought Meka food, she was considerably bigger than him.

Derik clops up, looking rather shiney, and possibly regal, despite himself. Under his coat, his armour was visible, but his face was wrapped in the usual fashion, protecting it from the wind.
Reigning Horace in, he pulls up next to the wolf.
"Any news on the others?" He asks.

Lazarus arrives the hood of his cloak pulled up and he appears to be a bit shadowy even when crossing areas the sun hits on directly, His boots seeming quieter than before. Nodding to Derik and the kid though arching an eyebrow at the sight of the kid seated on the wolf. "Well I have finished what I needed to do," *he moves to the Guards and questions them. "Pardon me Captain, How many were with the thieves when they fled?"

"hey, don't give Meka a look....She's as good as any horse." he commented a tad defensively. muttering something about horse meat burgers under his breathe. Mostly just typical reactions of most kids and nothing meant offend.
"Nah, there still shopping, Derik." he answered scratching the wolf behind the ear at an itchy spot.

OOC: Kurf, there, be careful what you wish for, with your psychic amulet. :-P Also, yes, Horace. The way you described the horse, it sounded like something Mr. the Tank Killer would have done.
Noting the lack of a horse, and the player focusing on them bloody non-thumpy boots... ahem... Derik looks over at Lazarus, only his eyes visible above his scarf. "Planning on running the distance, are we?" He asks, in his usual mediochre Elvish.

kurff refocused and kept focus on his new wolf, Meka. she seemed settled to him. Not quite sure how the amulet worked he was trying not to think to many aggressive thoughts. Either way he was not going to put Meka in trouble if he could help it.

Looking to Derik and shrugging. "I don't know how to ride one of those things," gesturing to the horse, responding in his fluent Elvish.

"Well, we'll see who can give you a ride. Just remember, you're the fox, we're the Scorpion, so you're subject to our nature." Derik says, with an alludung tone.
Meanwhile, Horace seemed interested in some of the grass near the gate house, trying to will Derik to let him go to examine it.

"So do we have a plan?" The Wolf remained peaceful enough and sat down, while not having her passenger fall off.

Lazarus arches a brow but says nothing at Derik's comment, turning his head towards Kurff though he doesn't let Derik out of his periperal vision. "The plan is to track the thieves and retrieve what was stolen." *still speaking Elvish*

"More specifically." Derik said, in Elvish, smirking under the scarf at Lazarus's change of posture. "We will follow them to these old kingdoms, and probably use your wolf to track them as we get closer."
"A thought occurs. We could hire a coach... they can carry our heavier gear and less horse-inclined comrades." Derik says, after a second, Elvishly.

Storm (NPC'd) rides up to the group in his warhorse fully dressed in battle armor, pulling in his reigns he looks around. "Is this everyone? Anybody else coming??" He asks.
