He decided taking his hand off the rapier was a smart move. Eric was not worth the risk now but noted he was eager to defend or fight.
kurff once again stood near the mind mage looking for the Pixie. Clearly this was about magic not one his strongest suits.

Kurff - You find the pixey is no longer by you but darts over to Eric. "Hi Eric!!! I brought friends!!! Hey where's Jeb???" He asks. Eric looks at Cortney and rolls his eyes but keeps alert.

Shayla - You sense they are the ones that have the jewel just before Jansis brings it out. You still don't sence any evil with these two but something evil is at the edge of your mind far away and closing.

"I see you've met Cortney." he stated a little cautious but not rudely. He wasn't the only poor soul to have met her.
"If the Cult is that dangerous why have you not simply used mass numbers and wipe them out? If there that evil getting allies should not be too hard.." kurff asked. If Cortney trusted them he would at least listen to what they said.

Derik shrugged. "There also was no indication on how long we had to return it." He rationalizes, out loud. He was prepared to wait. It didn't worry him that they would try and zombify him. He'ld just have to kill them right back, was all. Before they succeeded, but after they tried... the fine wire of his life...

Kurff - Eric looks at you and laughs, "Oh yeah she followed us to Grent and made a real mess of things while she was there. I was hoping she got bored and decided to leave but apparently she found you instead. Thank you!!!" He says laughing again.

"The other 2 artifacts, Eric...Have you retrieved them yet and is there a place we can put them that the 'Necromancers' can't go?" he asked.
"It seems to be unlikely we will be able to destroy them..." he thought.

Kurff - Eric looks at you. "We might have retrieved one or two of them." He says with a wink. But because they are Rune artifacts they cannot be destroyed here. We think we found a way to do it but we need all of the pieces in order to try." Eric says.

Courtney flies up to you and looks at you. Then flies around you a few times, then her happy face turns serious. "Hmmmmm, you seem honorable, if not a bit twisted. You don't like Pixies I can tell that from your face, and you don't trust anyone. You need to start trusting others. Especially those that are apart of your group..........oh and you don't trust dragons, which is to bad because they can be friends too." Then her serious face turns back into her happy go lucky look again. "Do you have any food? I'm hungry. Have you meet Jeb? Have you been to the city? I like the city, it's dirty and there are alot of places to hide................"

"I'm not a Mage so magic is not specialty. I specialize in the fine arts," kurff pulled some food. He was hungry now that Courtney mentioned food, in case the pixie spotted him there was extra pulled out. Meka had sat down and remained watchful.
"and, Eric who's Jeb?" he asked taking a bite of the travel ration.

Falbera - You are at the camp waiting for the rest to come back when you see a humanoid pop into view, he looks feline like. "Your friends are at out camp. You might want to join them. They will need your help shortly." He says then you see him wink out of sight again.

I will also give you my work of honor as well as a request. If we get out of this alive I want you to take one of the pieces with your oath that you will never use the piece and in fact will find somewhere to hide it were no one will be able to find it again, since it cannot be destroyed." He asks with a serious look in his eyes staring at you."
