*even as Jeckle is pushed aside for protection, her mind is focused on the other battle. she whispers a word and hopes to have her ring creature 'vanish' and the reappear elsewhere to resume the attack .. much like a 'teleport'.
*name said once, she is about to say it again when she gets shoved to the side and down. she hears Khris bark his order but sends Kirin back into the battle again

The martial artist doesn't seem as adept at reading Dante's defenses and the TK parry effectively stops the pistol shots. Disgusted, the martial artist drops the pistol and lunges at the two of them.
Nahar and the ant keep fighting, while Kirin disappears. Tiger and Pantera are hitting the Rhino repeatedly, causing damage each time and the Rhino is bleeding badly by now.
Strongbow and her opponent are still grappling and punching each other and both can't take much more. It won't be long until one of them is unconscious.
Steelfist can see Glaurung and the Crane thrashing the trees, he doesn't quite have a clear shot, but he will be close enough in a few seconds. Glaurung has managed to burn the Crane, but the fight is still fast and furious.
The two soldiers Shroud have his gun on notice him. One drops his assault rifle and the other contemptuously pushes the other guy away, and glares at Shroud as if daring Kris to shoot him.

Khris made sure he was well out of hand to hand range as he smirked," Do you have any idea what 360 pellets in less than three seconds is going to do to you? Drop the rifle and recall your creatures right now." He warned, " My patience are not something you want to test."

' .. Kirin .. the leg joints' *even as she regains her feet, her companion has returned to the fight. it redoubles its attack on the ant this time. lashing out with hooves, biting and stabbing with the horn. from time to time he lashes out at the rhino once he's in range with the rear teeth.
*Jeckle knows she should pay attention now to her own safety, and does so. she pulls out a baggie of what looks like cereal and rolls a couple in her hands then tells Dante to back up to her, she's moving to him even as she says this as drops the 'activated' mini lock poppers. she's dropped three and seems to make it appear that she's more hurt than she is. she hopes to lure the Martial Artist into the small pieces of C-4 and onto them .. and maybe blow a foot off. even as she ensures that she and Dante don't step on them

Steelfist charges into the area the two are fighting and tries to get a clear shot with his eye laser at the Crane.
(Strike: 16 Damage: 8)
If he can't get a clear shot for his Eye laser he will extend his Retractable forearm blades and wade into hand to hand with the crane.
(Strike: 25 Damage: 26)

Dante waits for the attacker to close in. When he is within range, Dante holding his sword in one hand swings at the attackers body, waits for him to begin to dodge, and then follows up by summoning his TK sword and swinging at the attackers legs not expecting to hit with his real sword but hoping to catch the Martial Artist off guard with his mental one.
(Swing at body d20 = 14 + 2 =16, Swing at legs Nat 19 + 2 = 21, TK Sword ISP = 30)

The martial artist again displays his uncanny ability for avoiding all attacks, easily moving towards Dante without ever coming dangerously close to the explosives, he easily blocks Dante's sword with his arm and then he smiles when he has to forgo his follow up attack in order to deflect the TK sword.
Steelfist hits the Crane with eye laser and claws, but it is clear the crane is capable of absorbing lots of damage and keeps up its fight with the dragon.
Kirin, Nahar and the Ant are still locked in battle, it is two against one, but none seem to be taking heavy damage.
Tiger and Pantera bring the Rhino down. With an anguished cry, the huge creature crashes to earth. The guy staring down Kris has tears in his eyes, and drops his assault rifle. His nearby friend screams something incomprehensible.
Tiger shouts over the comm, "GET DOWN!" She signs rapidly to Pantera, her fingers moving faster than the amount of time it would take to form the words verbally. To anyone without super vision, it would just be a blur.
Pantera grows bigger, at least twelve feet tall, and the giant tiger wastes no time putting its new size to work. Planting its back legs, Pantera reaches forward with both gigantic paws and heaves Nahar out of the clearing, more than forty feet away. Kirin takes to the sky startled by Pantera's sudden movement. Tiger leaps backwards the same direction Nahar was just thrown.
Then an explosion levels the clearing. Seemingly originating right where Pantera and the Ant are, the blast expands outward (100 damage to the two soldiers in the clearing, Kirin, Tiger, Nahar, Jeckle, Dante, and the martial artist. 50 damage to Kris, Strongbow and Strongbow's opponent, all of whom are further away. No damage to Steelfist, Glaurung, or the crane. Tiger, Strongbow, Kirin, Nahar, and everyone else who successfully rolls with an impact takes half-damage).

((OOC: would the blast radius from an AP mini-missile hit Glaurung if I fired one or two at the crane?)

Khris got back to his feet slowly, thankful for armor. " Bloody hell, bosskitty, a little more warning. Is everyone still in one piece?" He recalled Khamai from what was left of the fight, and turned his attention back to the two soldiers.

*Jeckle finally moves from the mess of bushes that aided her in suffering less damage as she landed and rolled. her look says it all. relief, for some reason, then wide eyed panic about something as she looks about as she stands up slowly.
*she recalls as she flew a couple other smaller 'pop' noises. the activated mini's had gone off, sadly, they didn't get the nasty one. she looks for him now. its clear that one was more than he seemed. almost like he was reading her mind, but more likely her body language. dangerous plain and simple

Dante hears the call to get down but doesn't react in time to avoid the blast. He however tries to lessen the damage he takes by tucking and rolling with the force of the explosion. He still gets pretty dinged up, but manages to avoid the full brunt. He only hopes the others and Nahir were able to do the same.
(D20 Roll w/ impact = Nat 20 + 10 = 30 (Thought for sure I was dead)
Nahir D20 Roll w/impact = 5)
{OOC: I assume we roll for our creatures, but do we do all the other actions for them also?}

"That blast wasn't mine." Tiger says grimly, "I noticed I was standing on a bomb. One of these guys must have had a detonator. Is everyone Ok?"
Surveying the damage it looks like the center of the blast was in the clearing, where most of the creatures were fighting. The Crane disappeared, and the Ant was nowhere to be seen.
Strongbow gets to her feet uneasily, "I'm not great. This guys dead." She indicates the man she had been grappling with. The martial artist Dante and Jeckle were fighting is lying at an awkward angle, not moving.
"I'll check that one," Tiger says. "Kris, how are those two near you?" They are also on the ground, unmoving.

O.O.C.:
Firing the AP mini-missiles at the Crane would have been an acceptable risk - the Dragon is much bigger than the Crane was and even if the dragon was in the blast radius, it would take half damage to the Crane's full - assuming a hit. Kind of a moot point, but good to know for next time.
As for Dante's question of control, I would say that the creatures understand their tamer very well and it would be very unusual for them not to comprehend their tamer's wishes (even separated by distance), however, they are sentient and can be rebellious and do their own thing. I would recommend phrasing directions for them in the framework of the tamer, rather than writing for the creature (ie Dante shot a thought at Nahar to attack, or waved his hand for Nahar to move - that sort of thing.) Of course, I'm fairly open to scripting everyday interactions - so feel free to write as many of those as you want. Also, you can send me any suggestions you have for a creatures actions - I very open.
Finally, the two soldier near Kris are also dead, for his information.

Dante walks over to Jeckle and says, "how are you? everything in one piece?"
He then walks over to the Martial Artist and leans down to check him for a pulse.
