When Mariana mentoins fanning out Ellie throws her a sharp "sh*t, not again" look and readies her cp-40 and concentrates on her surroundings become more attuned to them and the actions of everyone around them (intuitive combat).

Mendez takes the pc from ellie as he walks up to the pair,” thank you private." he runs a quick diagnostic on it (comp prog 24/65) then looks at shep and says;" Found Salinger sitting on a mine. He didn't make it." looks back at Mariana then to shep again;" she's not much help, and i think she has an oral disorder, like diarrhea of the mouth. it just runs and runs and runs, with out ever saying anything useful." looks at the bald guy:" indicators point to you being Koor the town protector. I'm sorry we brought trouble to your town. Mikey our teams Borg, said we could hold up there and wait for shep." looks around at the mention of Mikey. then asks the bald guy;" where exactly is he?"

Dyson has and is standing near Mendez(8' away) and is alternately staring at the Dragon and snatching quick glances at the forest.
At Mariana's last comment Dyson thinks " I wish she'd shut the crud up. Maybe if the dragon kills us she'll... no the dragon isn't going to kills us, just focus. Smoke, Where's the smoke coming from."
OOC: Can Dyson see which way the wind is blowing from. If he can't tell than he will carefully ask Koor " Drag... Koor, do you know where the smoke is coming from?"

Rhys chuckles at mendez's very correct assessment of Mariana's diarrhea of the mouth. When Koor mentions smoke he looks at the treeline trying to spot the smoke.

" Smith, we need to have a very long talk." Shep grumbled as he picked up a rock and tossed it at her back. (Roll = 17 ;D ) As the rock thumped against the back of her armor, he chuckled, but said nothing as the scent of smoke began to get heavier on the breeze that was coming from the direction they had come. "Uh no." He seemed to moan.
" Oh yes." Koor replied sternly, his voice seeming to deepen.
