McKenna was insulted, but her reply didn't show it. " I'm not a maid, ma'am, but I'm sure they can put my medical training to use." She smiled and turned to Arturis in line beside her," What position are you looking for?" "Engineering. I see you and I will be keeping this shp running..." he commented lightly. "Name's Arcturis. You are?" he asked with neutral look. |

"Oh, you're kind to say." says the older woman, in something like her 40s or very early 50s. "My name is Sandra, please to meet you all."

Jessica smirks and nods as she follows Tawfeek to the door. Once he keys the door open, she sits down and watches the interview quietly.

The first set of interviews go through, all but a couple are pilots, or wannabe pilots. Not one of them with a good rep to back them up. THe other two were labourers.
Then a woman in her late 40s enters. "Hello. My name is Sandra. Sandra Beaches." She says sitting professionally. "Here is my resumé. I've been with The Holiday Inn Chains for the last 20 years, 10 of those here on Freedom."
Tawfeek looks over the maid's resumé and hands it to Jessica. "OK, Mrs. Beaches, so you're applying for the pilot's position?"
"Oh, mercy now." She says chuckling. "No, I'm looking for the maid job. I figured you would be having some passenger berths, and I don't mind looking after them. It'ld be an easy change from working hotels. Might even get to know the guests. Don't get that often."

" If you say so. " McKenna replied. " I've never flown in anything bigger than a rescue shuttle. " She noticed that the older woman had gone in," I guess that means we're up next. Good luck."

Jessica simply raises an eyebrow with a small smirk as she non-verbally asks "Are you *really* going to hire a maid!?" before shaking her head 'unless she has other skills besides being a maid, I don't think we need her.'

"Oh, well." Said Mrs. Beaches. "No harm in asking, eh? But, thank-you for being honest. You can hold onto that in case you change your mind. My contact information's there." She adds, pointing to a spot on the resumé.
"Thank-you for coming Mrs. Beaches." Tawfeek says, acquiescing to Jessica's suggestion.
After she leaves, he says. "We may want to hold onto that, because if not her, then the whole crew will have to handle the passenger berths. Next!"
In walks McKenna.
"Please give your name and the position you're applying for." Tawfeek says, professionally.

McKenna sized up the pair doing the interviewing as she entered. She didn't wait to be told to to sit down, and sat acrossed from them and offered her resume. She folded her leg acrossed her knee and then folded her hands around her knee. " Good day to you. My name is McKenna Hatfield, I'm applying for the position of onboard medical provider." She said profesionally

Tawfeek reviewed the resume then handed it over to Jessica. "Providing what kind of medicines, in particular?" he asked.

Flip stands impatiently outside the door as as his turn gets closer. He is too nervous to talk to anyone, instead he just switches his weight from one foot to the other while staring at his fingers.

McKenna answered matter-of -factly," I have spent most of my time in ambulatory and field medicine, but I spent my residency in Freedom General's emergency department. I also spent time in psych consultation, lab tech and surgical during my training. I also took some pre law courses in forensics and investigation."

As Sandra walks by Flip and Arcturis she says calmly, "Well, good luck. It's a fast interview, but they're careful. The woman especially." And she heads on her way, not looking any worse for the experience.
(In the Lounge)
"And what experience do you have with long-haul flights?" Tawfeek asks, the credentials kind of washing over him... either because he doesn't fully understand them, or because it didn't answer the above question.
