McKenna turned away from the observation lounge, unimpressed by the ship. " could be interesting. the captain has to be either good or crazy to fly something like that. Hopefully a little of both." She said to herself as she sauntered towards AA5, but after seeing others turning away from a sealed chamber, she instead headed back to her apartment.
Once home, she slipped from her clothes and took a quick shower, changed and then started to make something quick to eat. As she waited for it to cook, she checked her messages.

(On the ship) Tawfeek gave Jessica a hurt glower. "We'll go over it in the morning."
Jessica's room was simply furnished, but clean. Carpetting, bed, desk, closet, private washroom, and certainly spacious. Plenty of room to live, but probably not enough to also have a work space. Something would have to be worked out with the captain for that.
(On the station)
McKenna's phone only had one message from her mom, wondering when she was going to be having supper next.

McKenna sighed as she took her reheated food from the microwave and picked up the phone. She slumped into her favorite chair, took a mouthful of food and dialed her parent's number, not sure how she would explain what she was thinking of doing, and arguement she expected to follow when her father found out. she couldn't help but grin as she pictured the look on her father's face when he found out his little girl was giving up home for a ship's cabin.
As the phone rang, MJ glanced at the date and sighed, remembering she was supposed to have a date tonight with... she couldn't remember his name, only that he certainly didn't know how to satisfy her. Oh well, I won't be the last girl to stand him up she thought to herself with a devilish grin.

(McKenna)
As her mother picks up, she remembers the name was Goa Harde. No need to be any more explicit on that topic. This game isn't like that.
"Hello?" Her mother asks on the phone.

" Hi Mom, it's me." McKenna replied, finishing the mouthful she had. " Just returning your call. How's tonight sound, or do you have to go in on shift? I might not be able to for a while otherwise."

Jessica starts to unpack her clothes and things and find places for them in her room. She had to admit it was a nice room, though she needed to talk to the Captain about having a work room so she could build new toys for the crew if they needed or wanted them.
Once she's done, she decides to go on her own little tour of the ship to get a look at what security features there were so she could start thinking of ideas to present to Tawfeek in the morning.

(McKenna) "But, you're laready eating, dear. I can hear it" Her mother answered. "But, if you want to come for tea, please do. You sound like you've made a decision."
(Jessica) The ship's security is pretty straight forward: access to the common areas is fairly easy, but to the crew quarters, cargo hold and sensitive areas like the bridge, a little harder, and more controlled when needed. All the doors doubled as pressure bulkheads and can be used to slow raids as well (not that they happen; lane piracy has decreased a fair degree with the Terran central authority, administered on the Moon, coming on line). There aren't that many doors, and the smaller crew will help weed out potential troublemakers.
In the end, controlling access by the passengers won't be hard. In fact, controlling access to any part of the ship seems very straightforward.

Blacksmith went to his quarters and looked up the ship and her owner after a shower and a meal. checking over his gear and assembling, disassembling and reassembling his tools for the 10th time he watched the news of the corperate sector and financal news out of habit.

(Arcturis) Finding the ship wasn't too hard. It was still listed as being for sale. Scant details, but looked like it would need at least two engineers.

" Just a snack really, some left overs." McKenna admitted. " Tea sounds good, I'll be along in a few. I'll fill you in when I get there."
After they exchange goodbyes, MJ slipped the rest of her meal back into the fridge, and started over to her parent's aparment, a short walk away. She didn't bother to ring the bell and let herself in. " It's just me." she announced as she closed the door behind her, immediately checking for her father's coat and boots., not that he was often home.

(McKenna) The Hatfield manor - a three-bedroom condo-style apartment in the D-block of Freedom Space Station - Capitalism in Space - Was a cleanly kept as usual. The whole block was upper middle-class, and so safe and clean. The small viewports looking outside show the sun reflecting off the ice meteors tethered to the station, gleaming against the blackness of space.
"Oh, hello." Her mother said, setting the tea out. "Your father will be home, soon. So, do i get a preview, or will we wait until he gets here?"
(Flip) The "night" sleeps itself away on the bustling station. Silly human traditions, like days... Anyways, the dreams are uninterrupted, as the the station rockets through its orbit.

Jessica couldn't help but feel confused as she heads back to her room. She wonders why Tawfeek needed her for security detail, when he seemed to have everything well in hand. Shrugging, she makes a note to ask Tawfeek about this at the next opportunity.

" Oh, Daddy's station side?" Despite her age, McKenna couldn't help it she still called her father that. she knew it would probably make things harder, but " I should wait for him, but I've been considering getting away for a while, and I think I'm going to sign on aboard a freighter. I can use my pilot training a bit if needed as well as serve as medical officer. I said I wanted a fresh start, this should give it to me."

(McKenna) "Yeah. He's getting to old to make the trips, so he has a permenant office on Freedom." Her mother says. "Except, now I have to get used to having him around more."
"Talking about me, huh?" He says, patting McKenna on the head as he heads past to put his stuff on McKenna's room-turned-Dad's-office. "So, what's this news your mother was so urgently calling me about?"
(Jessica) Well, the tools are there, but no-one's there yet to manage them, or set up the plan and rules. A little more bureaucratic than Jessica's used to, but still necessary.
Looking for Tawfeek would find him showing around a fellow in his mid-40. By the discussion it looks like he's the engineer Tawfeek was talking about.

Hmm.. that might be a good purchase, he thought. with a few key strokes looked up the cost and other detail. He really should have paid better attention in business class. byut thats what Business software was for.
