Ch. 30 The Aquaduct (everyone else)

Tom takes the whip hits as he makes a leaping punch at the Hive woman. "Night night" (10+3 to strike, 31 damage if it hits)

' .. ow .. that should hurt .. surprise .. it don't ... ' *the fire in her eyes flares as she returns the favor with a head butt

[[ oh my .. nat 20 ... say good night gracie? - damage 4+9 = 13*2 / KO as well ]]

*even as she feels clever for doing that .. she's blown off her feet at the next explosion. she rolls to the feet and then if Britney is still in range .. SCREAMS in the heads of HIVE .. to shock them and distract. she is now royally annoyed. not mad .. just annoyed and getting madder by the second, even as claws show up on her hands and her target is one of the HIVE

[dakota]

Crunch goes down in a heap, and Hive follows suit from Tom's punch. after slashing at Isamu, Ashley stops disoriented and realizes what she just did. Without thinking, she reverted to normal and started apologizing, only to be blindsided and flattened by an energized haymaker from Avi, who was still under the last Hive's control.

the other half of the fight wasn't going as well. Trevor was out and Panek was restraining Brittney so Raig could take over dealing with Tyler. The big guy with the claws turned his attention to the team.

The last Hive giggled as she retook flight to get out of range, " Uh oh, you ticked off Deth now."

Tom lifts himself up after being knocked down by the blast and surveys the field. He waves his arm, magnetically hurling Avi face first into a wall (using any metal he might be wearing on him - 2+3 to strike from behind).

"The rest of you take out that last Hive! I got this."

*Sierra leaves the others to deal with the ones behind her .. as her eyes watch the guy with the big hands ... and shakes her hands free of Ashley's claws .. and 'fine tunes' the meta waves she's feeling all about her. she fine tunes it to focus on the one in front of her.

*she's protecting Kristen and the others as she moves a pace closer and the hands raise and the fingers move, as if calling something from the sky and then her hands reflect his power and flickers a couple of times as she adjusts to the power.

*her mind goes blank as she watches his face and acts on what his eyes say .. planning on parrying the various attacks and delay him for hte others to get to him and deal with him. she says nothing as she continues to spar and delay him.

[Dome]

Isamu gets up after Avi's blast. He looks around to take in the situation. Watching Ashley go down he momentarily fights the urge to run to her. Instead, he nod's at Tom. He grabs the nearest enemy to him and throws him/her at the hive in flight. (ps=34 Str = 17) He then turns and begins walking toward the big guy with the claws. He puts his hand on Sierra and says to her, "Allow me."

Turning to Deth he says, "The last time our groups met you went up against Ashley. I have since wanted a chance to face you in battle. At last here we are."

*she nods once and does a single back-flip to get distance away and then looks about. she drops the energy hands and shudders once as Izamu and Deth square off.

then she focuses and then the debris in the area rattles. then its up in the air .. and then hurtles towards Britney and the assailant holding her in the air and HOPES that she doesn't smack her new friend with her own power.

[ Nat 18 to strike - at Britney's level and accuracy and damage ]

*she hopes the debris bouncing off his face will be enough of a distraction to release his prisoner. and maybe that will even the odds a little then waits to see where she's gonna be needed next

Avi slumped to one knee, shaken by Tom's blow. He was obviously building up another explosive blast when Isamu knocked the last Hive's control of him free by throwing Crunch at her. Free of the control, and injured, Avi caught himself and looked up at Tom, " Whut's goen on?" He managed to mumble despite a broken jaw

Sierra's grasp of how Brittney's telekinesis works sends a cloud of debris, hurdling towards Panek's head, but her lack of experience ends up hitting both captor and prisoner, though Panek got the worst of it. Pummeling both of them, Brittney and her brother went down, both of them moaning in pain as they covered their heads to protect from any further attacks.


Deth stares at Isamu, smirking visciously. Then in one quick moment, he snatches up Ashley's unconscious form with one of his massive clawed hands. " This ends now, " He spoke so quietly that it was barely heard over the surrounding battle, " or I finish Kodiak for good. You seem to worry about dear Ashley here." One claw passed through her and caused a slight spasm as Deth grinned, bareing his predatory fangs." so it's your choice."

[Dome]

"You are right I worry about her. However if you finish her as you put it, I will not rest until you join her. Take your group and only your group, and leave now." Isamu who is normally stoic and near emotionless in every situation, starts to let his anger rise as apparent by his voice. Using his anger he starts to use the surrounding earth to push on the tunnel section they are in with enough force to shake the tunnel just like would happen at the start of an earthquake.

*Sierra winces as she doesn't have the fine control Britney does .. then decides to act and get her out of danger. she slips past as Deth is dealing with Izamu.

*she gets closer to Britney and moves her away from the stranger on the ground. she then picks the stranger up with her hands and spins and lets him fly at the other stranger attacking Trevor, hoping to take the guy out with the mass of the stunned one. 'clean up on aisle 2 ... hehe'

[ strike - 14 +3 = 17 ]

{OOC- No one was attacking Trevor anymore, he's out of action.]

Brittney got up on her own, and focused on Raig ausaulting Tyler, picking him up and holding him there. " Sis, you better let me down now." Ty saw the opening, and forced himself to his feet with an uppercut that would make mike Tyson proud. The TK hold dropped just as the blow struck, and Raig sprawled backwards towards where Sierra had thrown Panek past Trevor.


Deth wasn't threatened by Isamu's display. " Then call off your friends, hero, and I might let her go."

[Dome]

"Everyone stop fighting please. Sierra, Tom help those that are injured," he says to his group.

Turning to Deth, "you are the only one still standing. You have lost, release her and go. We will not stop you."

' ... you okay? .. sorry i ... ' *her comments to Britney are interrupted by Izamu's statement. she just gives a faint smile to Tyler, Trevor and Britney and then shrugs at them 'well you three look fine. if you'll excuse me now'

*she moves and then slips past the stand off again without looking at either one and moves to Kristen's side and looks him over and then gives Avi a sad look and then copies his power as she heals the group that needs it. she then moves to look at what the Brethren were working on.

Tom turns and begin helping the others, starting with Avi and Kristian

Deth chuckles at Isamu, and tossed Ashley unconsciously towards him. " On your word then, but we will be seeing each other. Brethren, we're leaving!" With Hive helping Crunch, and Raig and Panek helping each other, they retreated.

Tom found Avi was okay, but Kristian was still out cold and needed to be carried. Avi took Dmitri in a fireman's carry, but he was still groggy. " Yu guyz doed wul toogeddur " he mumbled a compliment.

Ty nodded in agreement, his healing powers already working as he helped Trevor up. " Avery is right. You saved our bacon, but I still don't know what they were up to."

Brittney smirked, rubbing her face, " don't worry about it. You think I never misfired before?"

sierra finds what crunch was at, a control panel for the floodgates. There's no way for the gates to close now with the damage he did.
