Ch. 30 The Aquaduct (everyone else)

" Yes, yes. No buses." Ashley said as she opened the door for them. " Been there, done that. Let's try a train this time. " she smirked, and led him through the house to the others in the car. She paused only long enough to grab their jackets.

" That's not a bad idea." Avi replied smugly as he started the SUV. Once everyone was in, he drove towards the hospital. "

Twenty minutes later, Ashley pointed at a classic Camaro," There's Ty's car. By that aquaduct."

Avi parked behind it. " Eyes open people, we don't know what we're up against yet."

Isamu climbs out of the vehicle and dons his jacket. He begins to look around and try to see if he can locate Tyler or any of his group.

* Sierra gets out and closes the eyes. she 'feels' out with her senses for 'familiar' meta signals.

'don't know about you .. but i'm checking. i assume that if you look for flashes of light or hear screams that might be a good start. any of you see any damage or debris out of place"

Sierra could sense meta activity below them, in the aquaduct system. She coule sense Ty, Trevor, Brittney and five others.

Tom exits the van, and transforms from flesh to metal, before using his magnetic abilities to open his leg braces and put them back in the car. "So, 411, what are we dealing with here? Just so I can tell who the bad guys might be."

*the eyes open as Sierra looks at the others and states simply 'Tyler, Trevor Britney and 5 others are below in the aquaduct system. they're in range. not sure who the others are tho. if you can supply names while we're down there. that will help me figure out who's who'

*she simply zips up the jacket and then does the small zippers over the gloves she's secured into place.

'so .. who's taking point? ... '

" you're the one that can sense them, Sierra." Avi said, motioning towards the ladder, we're right behind you."

' .... somehow i thought you were gonna say that .... ' *she sighs and then shakes her head and looks at the ladder and scampers down, as she reaches again for the powers she had sensed.

*then she's off. avoiding stepping into any gross gooey stuff and water. via the band-aid she simply gives the direction she moved after reaching the bottom of the ladder

Avi herded the others down into the spillway that ran beneath the street. It big enough that they could have driven in, but that would be too obvious. Sierra could feel the others coming closer, and the flash of an energy blast around the turn confirmed it. " Okay folks, lets go say hello."

ashley looked at Isamu, " I better wait to change so I don't give us away." she turned to Tom," Since Avi is being rude, I'll tell you. The Brethren are an all meta gang that Ty has been feuding with since he left Control. They cause all sorts of trouble and have been known to hire themselves out to others when thier leader Denial says so. I don't think anyone has ever seen his face, and don't expect him to be down here."

* Sierra recalls using Britney's talent to mind speak and she focuses to do just that. she sends 'it's Sierra and the rest. we're here if you need us Tyler' *she sorta hovers in the background listening in case there's a response.

*she holds up a hand and half-whispers, 'Tyler knows we're here. waiting for a response'

It doesn't take long for a response to come as more and more energy blsts echo in the spillway. but since Ty himself isn't psychic, he shouted back. " Don't wait for an invitation!" At the same time, a ball of fire streaked past the corner to slam the side wall

Ashley let out her beastial roar as she began to change into her werebear form, " What are we waiting for?"

Isamu changes as well and begins to move forward. "Tyler, pull your people back, and I can close the tunnel up between them and us."

* Sierra feels utterly and totally stupid for blowing the 'surprise' element. 'okay .. that could have gone better .. i guess'

&she watches the others rush past and mutters to herself as she jogs forward so she isn't left behind, 'd*mned if i do and d*mned if i don't, whenever i try to help'

*plan, round the corner, slip past the others and take the blow meant for the next person

Isamu quickly realizes his plan won't work. Tyler is already mixing it up with a big guy with massive claws hands, who has the upper hand. Trevor and Brittney were tangling with her brothers, Panek and Raig, which seemed to be an even match. the last two, a skinny black woman and a chunky man were doing something with a hatch. The woman turned to meet the others. " Greetings, we are Hive. it seems you outnumber us, we have to rectify that." She split into thre copies of herself and seemed to concentrate.

( All players roll vs mind control)

Ashley and Kristian stopped their charge and turned towards the others , taking positions as to protect Hive for the rest of the team. Ashley let out a roar and her energy claws sprung from her fingertips. The Hives laughed inunison.

*seeing the multiple happening and then feeling a nasty sensation against the skull and mind Siearra makes her choice. against Kristien she can hold her own, against Ashley its hard to tell. against the woman with so many copies of herself or the man with her? .. its hard to say or against the man whos' still busy? she has no freaking clue.

*she takes a deep breath and charges towards the mess of bodies and then instead of smashing into Ashley or Kristien she uses the wall and her own training to run up a little.
push off with a tight tuck and roll up and over their hands and heads. [dodge]
land feet first into the back of the man's head that is tampering with the hatch. [strike]

dodge = 18+4
strike = 19+3 (+3 called shot?)
damage from the flying kick = 4+9 *2 = 26 total [plus he got 125 pounds mooshing his noggin into the wall .. wish it was an auto KO but i WILL take the 'incapacitate opponent on nat 18-20 tho]
