The recon information is stored in the base's remote access datafiles for anyone who has a pocket comp, but the basis you need to know is there are three known groups operating in the vicinity of the landing zone. There are tribes of Simvan and Psi-Stalkers known to inhabit the area, as well as Natives not far to the east that are known to have a truce with the Psi-Stalkers.
All three are known to be Coalition enemies and will attack us, given the chance. There are also elements of the First Apocalypic Army operating in the area and another unknown group. The FAA are the closest we have to allies out there, but they are not to be trusted as they are not much more than brigands themselves. We have no information on the unknown group except that they are unfriendly and at least as well armed as we are."

(OOC- anyone who has a pocket computer that down loads the information will get the same information in much more detail, with descriptions on the involved parties. Regional geography of the drop zone is dense forests in hilly terrain. All information on previous operations in the vicinity is resricted access, but the number of classified entries reveals it is a popular destination, with three recent missions to the area, one being by the previous third squad.)

OOC: Dakota if it is something that my char would now could you tell me what the FAA is? It could be that I just don't recognize the acronym, but I don't remember anything about any FAA.
And incase it comes up later, Dyson did download the info to his pockit comp.

Ellie changes her signal and volunteers her self to assisst Colonel Mendez "Sir, I've had Paramedic training and have slightly attuned my psychic abilities towards healing. I may be of some use to you with the med evacs."

to Ellie, " Thank you for your offer, but my directives from the high command are secondary to the squads primary orders and can only be accommodated at the Lt.'s discretion. this is the Lt.'s squad inform him of your capabilities and he will make the call. " *waits for everybody to board and stays back with LT. Archer. also sets comm. to designated frequency, and studies info on the mini-pc* when the LT. speaks to him he stops what he's doing and gives the LT. his undivided attention.

"My apologizies Colonel" Ellie turns to the Lt. "Sir, *assuming he heard Ellie talking to the Colonel* its your call" After the Lt gives Ellie his answer she will board the heli. and assume her position where seen fit. Weather it be near the colonel or not.

Acrher's smug look returns at Colonel Mendez's statement and he turns to face Ellie. " I'm sure your medical training will come in handy and the colonel can put them to good use, Private."
He turns back to Mendez. " I just wanted to make sure that you understand that although you outrank me, this is a military operation and that I am in charge of the squad, but obviously that won't be an issue."
He spins on his heels a walks to the helicopter

Mendez Smiles Under his helmet and follows Archer onto the heli, *making a quick note on his pc* he takes a seat next to ellie and asks; " do you have any abilities to find or locate individuals? " * he pulls up the dossiers of the missing troops for id and any medical conditions*

Rhys sneers under his helmet at the Lt's problem with Mendez out ranking him as he climbs into the chopper. He sits in a position that gives him a good view inside and outside of the chopper if possible.

I can also find out if they've died or not. It takes a a few seconds and I need a picture of them." Ellie observes the Colonel's Psi patch. "Do you?" She asks

to ellie: " no I don't, However...* prints a picture of each of the missing from there files * " I can supply you with there PICS." * hands PICS to Ellie* "I'll need you to find them but be sure to secure the area before attempting to help them. otherwise we'll compound the problem by making ourselves the subjects of the search and rescue operation" * hands ellie a hypo with some tracer chips * "keep this on you so i can track your movement and place one in any troops you find just under the scalp, the frequency is 77.77 this will send off a radio beacon that can be tracked with our equipment up to five miles, i already have one implanted " * carefully gets up and walks over to the LT. and says in a tone that hopefully only he can hear* "Lt. Archer may i suggest we implant each member of the squad with a tracer so we can keep tabs on each other?" *waits for archers answer then goes and sits with ellie*
Yes, I do have them on my equipment list, they are also used to track hostiles.
