Ellie waits for Lt and Dyson to depart and covers them on their way out. She prepares a TK Force Field in the back of her mind for her and Mendez

As the last exit the helicopter is slowly lifts off and veers towards the south as it climbs over the canopy, it's turbines breaking the otherwise eerie silence of the forest. Mikey takes up a covering position with his TX-500 and Shep does the same near the LT and the Colonel. Beneath his helmet, Archer groans. " That was too easy. I expected there to be a welcoming party."

" You sound dissapointed, LT" Mikey laughs, scanning the forest.

Archer replies with a "Hmmph" and stands, looking at Rhys. " Lead us out , Sergeant. You're point."

" Don't be in such a rush, LT. They're out there, just waiting." Shepherd chimes in with a low tone of voice. " They're just waiting on us, making sure there aren't more coming. If we move out too quickly, They'll think we're making a run for it." He throws a glance over his shoulder to Snowball. " You can smell them, can't you?" ( Tag- Snowball)

His head shifts back to scan the perimeter. " I know you've done this before,O'Neill, but take it nice and slow. No trails, and keep an eye out for anything that seems out of place, you know the drill. Whenever you're ready, just keep it nice and slow." ( Tag- Rhys)

Lt. Archer, in a disgusted tone, turns to Mendez and Ellie." Can't you scan out there with you're .... abilities?"
And Wong, stay..." His voice is cut off as a panicked voice comes over the comms.

" MayDay! MayDay! MayDay! This is Hawk 4! Taking heavy fire...just lost rear stabilizer. Unable to make it to homeplate. Losing altitude. I say again, this is Ha..." Static.

In a sheepish voice, Luietenant Archer throws out the question on everyone's mind." Was that...ours?"

" Yup," Shepherd replies , matter-of-factly," this just keeps getting better and better. Head us out, O'Niell."

OOC: does it sound like mini-missles or what?? maybe lasers or something? Also how close does it seem when it blows up?

Rhys looks to Snowball "You sense anything that I need to be aware of?" as he prepares to take point. He looks around listening to his senses. He looks to Ellie and Col. Mendez. "I hope you Psi's will give me a warning if you sense something that I need to know of." He heads out taking point as he thinks to himself ~Grand Mr. big britches takes charge after the fact~ He watches his surrounding with the caution that was trained and drilled into him in his special forces training.

for Cabal and Jon/Bo: You don't here anything out of the ordinary. No explosions or weapons fire sounds.

Mendez moves close to the Lt. " LT i suggest we move to retrieve the crew of the chopper. we know where they might have gone down, we dont know where the missing soldiers are, and we might come across the soldiers on our way to the crash sight. also we might come across the enemy and follow them back to thier base of operations if we dont alert them to our presence."

Looking from Col. Mendez to Lt, archer Dyson says " What about the hostiles we have here." as he thinking about the the small arms fire the chopper took as they were landing.

" If both groups of hostiles are part of the same force then the one here will tip of the one that took down the chopper and we'll be heading into an ambush. If they aren't part of the same force and the ones here follow us then we could get into a three way cross fire when we find who took down the chopper"

The luietenant hesitates a moment before coming up with a desicion. He turns to Col. Mendez. " Wong has a good point. That crash will be a beacon to every hostile in the neighborhood. And I doubt we could get there in time to help any survivors. We should press on and continue with our mission. "

As he passes to take his place in line behind Snowball, he pats Archer on the shoulder with a chuckle. " Did you hear that Shep? He made a decision all by himself."

Archer shrugs out from under Mikey's hand, sputtering." That'll be enough of that out of you, Private."

" Lighten up, LT, it was only a joke." The borg shakes his head , shifting the rail gun in his arms.

Rhys looks to Archer, "Are you saying that we leave the chopper crew behind? Cuz If you are that's not something the CS does, We are after all a spec ops team and we leave no one behind." His voice a near growl at the thought of what the Lt. is implying.

[Sensorium]

" The chopper was in radio range of the base when it went down, wont another team get sent out to take care of the survivors." Dyson says to Lt. Archer, Col. Mendez, and Shep.

Dyson turns to face Rhys and says In an clear voice edged with defensiveness " And I wasn't suggesting that anyone get left behind, we just have people that we have to worry about here."

"Sir, do you have a file on everyone in our squad including the pilot and whoever else was on the helicopter??? Cause if you do have a picture of any sort I could try to find out if they're alive so we could get on with our mission; But if not I think we should radio in for a search and rescue team for them." Ellie looks around feeling that they were wasting valuable time. "We need to get out of this area. I'm not getting a good feeling about it." Ellie knowing her instincts are whats kept her alive many times before she looks towards snow to see if his ears twitch as if to catch a slight sound. " Snowball, do you sense or hear anything?? Col. Mendez what about you? Are you sensing anything?" Ellie hoping her Zen like awarness will pick something up listens and waits for their decision.

Rhys looks away from Archer long enough to say "Relax Corporal, I wasn't saying that you were." He looks back to the Lt. "I was saying the Lieutenant here was suggesting such a thing. " He glares at Archer from under his Helmet.

[dakota]

" O'Niell, are you questioning my authority?" Lt. Archer steps up in front of Rhys, and removes his helmet so the anger in his eyes can be seen. " I gave you an order, sergeant, now move us out. If you knew anything about helicopter crashes, you'd know the crew never had a chance, and I"m not ready to throw this patrol away to prove to you."

As he stands there facing you(Rhys), glaring, a slight flash from the distant hillside grabs your attention. A slight "pop" can be heard in the distance and Lt. Archer's eyesgrow wide. He staggers and swats at the back of his head as a dollop of blood appears dripping from his nose. Starting to teeter, he pulls his hand in front of him, covered in blood. His eyes roll up to Rhy's in terror as he collapses.

" Incoming!" Shepherd shouts, diving for cover as the hillside erupts with laserfire.

Ellie creates a Telekinetic field around the unit in an instant and shouts "Quick find cover! It wont hold!" She hides behind the nearest tree and trys to find where on the hill the shots are coming from.

OOC telekinetic force field 30isp, 25MDC (not much but will hold wilks rifles for a round). How far is the hill? And how good is our cover?
