Heading toward the house of the Countess, Kurff expects that it will be a grand and lavish estate, and that he'll get a reward beyond his wildest dreams. He is surprised, however, to find that as they get closer to where the Countess lives that the area is filled with modestly sized houses. While they are more lavish than the young thief would be used to, they are by no means rich.

Derik looks around at the houses. Interesting. A countess in a place like this? Must be a minor noble. He thinks, looking around. I should let the others do the talking and simply wait, otherwise, they might get conflicting images.

Derik looked down at Kurff. "You know how it is... good things come in small packages."

" Do not look at me." D'fel stated," In fact it may be better if the countess does not as well."

Falbera who had tagged along with the group mainly unnoticed now speaks up. "I too would not make a good spokesperson."

"Well, alright." Derik says, after second (still in Elvish). "I'll be it, then. But if those two locals show up, then it'll be on them to do it, OK?"

Storm follows along with the rest of the group. "Well if you change your mind I suppose I could talk to her, but Shayla is better suited for negotiations." He said smiling.

Derik mumbles something in Western, so it may be hearable to the others. It basically implied that Storm couldn't think for himself if a woman was nearby.

" I did not catch that, friend." D'fel said to Derik with a brow raised.

"Hmm? Oh," Derik answers in Elvish again. "I was simply noting Storm's faith in the Shayla."
And he goes to the door and knocks, scratching his neck and activating his tongues tattoo as he does.

Shayla simply raises an eyebrow at Derik and smirks quietly, but doesn't say anything to refute his claim. Instead she simply nods and says "I have no problem with Derik speaking on behalf of the group since there appears to be no objections."
Once Derik knocks on the door, a short woman with dark hair tied into a bun with dark opens the door. Eyeing the group warily, she blinks a bit at the sight of D'fel and turns to Derik. "Yes. Can I help you?"
