CHAPTER 6: ENTER THE NINJA!

Lex waved off the masked man and went to tend to the others instead. "Do any of you have an idea why we just got attacked by a slumber party?"

[Sittingbull]

Tetsuo addresses the others, while keeping a knee on the neck of the captured ninja. "This is a member of the Fire Path Clan. They are an extremist clan with dominionist ambitions, an Imperial Japan that stretches across the Pacific all the way to the Russian Steppes. Madness, perhaps, but fanatics have a way of making even mad goals seem feasible. That is all he has volunteered... so far."  The masked Tetsuo looks down at his prisoner and speaks in Japanese again, along with some added pressure from his knee. "Why did you attack this gathering?"

[Mierin]

Vivian shakes her head at Lex as she replies, "I have no idea why those men would attack the gathering." She listens as the newcomers talks about who the man he has pinned was and then talks in that strange language again, which doesn't help her understand what was going on. 'I am SO confused.' Vivian thinks to herself.

[Sittingbull]

"I am trying to get answers, for all of us." The masked figure says.

"That...would made sense if the U.S. was at war with anyone. Heck, world's been peaceful since 1919, Depression aside."

[dakota]

"Peaceful? Not quite, but at least not at war." Lex corrected as he thought about the almost war zones he had seen in Windy City with the Macuso family. They were bad, but nothing like what he saw in Europe. "I think I do, kiddo," he said, " I met some of those guys that survived Galipoli, and they said we had to be glad Japan was not getting involved. If that is where the pyjama boys are from, things might get real interesting around Central City." He Looked at Tetsuo, " See if you can squeeze anything else out of him, or we can help."

[Sittingbull]

"I will continue to our prisoner, as trying to get him to talk to a gaijin if he knows English, would only make him be more quiet. If someone could recover those 4 shuriken for me please. I would be indebted." Tetsuo points over to where the 4 shurikens landed as he speaks in English. "Need we be concerned about relocating with our prisoner before the authorities arrive?" After asking that, the masked figure returns to questioning the captive in Japanese. "Talk hetakuso!" (Hetakuso being a Japanese insult meaning clumsy and/or lacking skill.)

"The Wheat! The Wheat!" The prisoner shouts.

Matt tipped his hat. "We should probably worry about the cops - probably going to show up any minute. We should come up with a plan, and a meeting place. What about my ranch?"

"Your place works Matt." Lex replied, unsure what he was looking for when the masked figure said shurikens. He turned and scowled, "What is a sure reekin? These things?" He said, pointing to one of the metal stars lodged in the wall.

The masked figure nods to Lex. "They are not easy to replace or make." Tetsuo takes out a piece of clothes and blind folds the prisoner then another piece of clothe and binds the prisoners hands and feet (with enough room room between the feet for the prisoner to walk like 2016ish prisoners but not run). Then Tetsuo removes his mask and tusks it inside his clothing. Revealing his one eye and eye patch as he helps the prisoner up. Tetsuo, then for good measure, puts his mask over the prisoner's head and stuffs some extra loose clothe inside the mask but over the ears. "We must be careful what we say around the prisoner."  Tetsuo takes his quarter staff back in hand and runs it between the arms and back of the prisoner and keeps the staff at a 45 degree angle, so doorways wont be a problem and give a better handle on the prisoner if he tries anything.  Tetsuo, to whoever is closest, will move in close but not too close to be alarming or improper and speak very quietly.  "I have an apartment in the city if that is closer."

Vivian helps Lex pick up the metal stars and examines one curiously. "It doesn't matter to m where we go, but we should head out quickly before the police arrive."

Matt nods. "Alright stranger, you seem to know what's going on - we'll head over to your place. Let's move quick. Tell us where to go."

Tetsuo, after taking the shuriken and putting them away in the folds of his clothes, leads the 'back streets way' to his apartment. After leaving the building the fight took place in and are safely away, he will remove his mask from the prisoners head and use the extra clothes to blindfold him. He undoes the bindings to his feet, so as not to stand out, and drapes (either someone's else jacket or a piece of his own clothes) just big enough to cover up the restraints to his hands (making it look like he is keeping his hands warm).

(If we get to Tetsuo's apartment without incident.)

Tetsuo then leads the group and the prisoner, up to his small apartment. A very oriental themed apartment, if not a bit bare. A simple single bed, a dresser, a closet, a small bathroom, a simple kitchen, a kitchen table that can seat 4, and there is a desk with candles, parchment, ink, quills, and paints. Tetsuo removes his footwear, just inside the door, and does the same for the prisoner. All the tables are low sitting tables not designed to be used with tables and instead of have mats to sit on.  He looks expectantly at his guests to do the same.  "Please remove your footwear, after entering."  Tetsuo will then place the prisoner in the corner, tie his feet back together so he can't stand up, and make sure someone is watching him, before Tetsuo turns his attention to his guests.  "If someone will watch the prisoner, I will prepare tea and rice for my guests."
