One of our team has a certain expertise able to help track down." blink answered stepping out out of the car, "As I said, I just wanted work with you rather than around you. Lets get a look at that footage. Just to make sure we are after the same thief." The hardest part about diplomacy was keeping the side comments and jokes in check.

Magneto always said she was too sarcastic at the wrong time. Such as dealing with her worlds Gambit. The fact that he was after Rogue after she married Magneto. In later years she became much like her father Sabretooth. He was never a fan Gambit. After Gambit left the X-men her view lightened and learned life was not cut and dry. Blink had been told it was 'Forgive but never forget' kind of world. Then again Magneto was a bit of hard ass and had his issues.1d20·1d20·1d100

Spider-Man starts to speak, but all that comes out is stuttered jibberish. "I...But...Joke overload in my head... make it stop!" Once he's calmed down a bit, Spider-Man pats Steve on the shoulder again. "Just...be yourself. Oh, except don't put on any Andrews Sisters or Shirley Temple. You'll date yourself."

Blink and Wasp review the footage - it showed a big man in black cat burglar outfit (clearly Sabretooth) savaging guards at a dimond exchange while a smaller figure (the Black Cat)looted the place and made off with her goods before the cops chased off Sabretooth.

Cap, back in his civilian clothes, was approaching Felecia's apartment, as Spider-Man, Hawkeye, and MJ prepared their next move.

"So...how does this work? You boys just going to swing into Felecia's apartment windows?" Mary Jane nibbled on a cracker from the bar.

"looks like were becoming some this cities finest for this mission. That one savaging the guards is this realities sabretooth. the smaller figure is Blackcat. And I'm pretty sure about that." she looked at the Wasp, "You remember that bar brawl...he mentioned Black cat owed him money? he was angery when he said that. Probably means he wasn't lying. Most people, myself included, tend to be honest we they get angry." Blink said.

"Detective, Did you get anything odd from the scene? and did that camera pick any audio? Incase the thieves said something that might help us. any chance we can talk to them?" Blink asked. All she knew of CSI was she watched on TV and in movies. Most them had a guard or local who was over looked see the clue that solved it.

Fiction or not this could have been a possibility. Especially with a guy like Sabretooth. He didn't orders well and if he might be prone lip. Lippy meant he might give away information with out knowing it. The blackcat was another story and didn't strike her as being chatty on the job. Though she might have had issues with sabretooth. the whole cat theme also didn't get past blink. This looked like a two person job her only question was who planned it. Did Blackcat plan it or someone hire her?

Spider-Man reaches around on his utility belt. "Damn, I'm fresh out of spider tracers. Hawkeye. Buddy. Do you have anything for this particularly sensitive scenario? Maybe a microphone arrow? Or even a 'Get the diamonds back from Black Cat' arrow?"

"Geez, do you brand everything, Web-head? You're worse than Stark. Yeah, I got a tracer. What's your plan?"

Mary Jane places a reassuring hand on Spider-Man's shoulder. "Call the shots, Fearless leader."

"No audio on the feed. Nothing specifically weird...except for the ownership of the diamonds. Used to belong to the Maggia - you ever heard of them?" The Detective answered Blink.

Wasp spoke up. "The Maggia? Oh....I've got an idea. This could be bad. Really bad."

"Maggia? I'm not sure of all the details. They sound like some mob family from the sound of the name. They probably have people after them. Ones that might specificly be able to hire out a pair of thieves to take their diamands. Did any of there rivals learn of the Maggia's diamands?" she asked. Even if they couldn't pay the fee which would explain why Sabretooth was with out his share of cash.

"Wasp,sounds like you know of them. I love it when I get in over my head," blink joked with her. She would have quite the info to tell spiderman today. this little excursion was worth it. Might have to use this trick more often. Perhaps Blake might be a good contact to keep in touch with. if bill was listening he was hopefully impressed by her amateur detective work.

"So we know who owned the diamonds...and that gives a shorter list of who might have wanted to steal them. Considering there is at least a million dollar pay off. It looks like a hired job or Black cat tried to scam Sabretooth. Knowing if a rival gang was invovled makes a world of difference I guess." she thought outloud

"Detective, Have you been monitoring any other gangs that might know about the diamands and were planning on going after them? I know its a long shot..even if you can't tell me any more I think we have a good direction already." she said with a smile greatful for the detective's help.

"Just wait until I dust off the Spider-Mobile. What? You mean to tell me you don't have a Hawkeye-Mobile? OK, getting off track. We give our buddy Steve here a tracer, let him go on his date and when they leave the building, one of us can go inside and see if we can find these diamonds. The other one can go catch up with Black Cat and see what she can tell us."

"The Maggia aren't a gang, Blink. They are an international organized crime ring, and in the past they've been headed up by the likes of Madam Masque and Count Nefaria. This is serious business." Wasp responds. "We need a careful plan. I'm thinking we should get our intel back to Cap and the others, then see what other pieces of the puzzle we can get."

MJ coughs. "And what if...they don't leave her apartment?"

Hawkeye chuckles. "Damn. Just....damn."

"agreed,This is big." She nods, "Detective, If anything comes up that will help you I will call and let you know. If you need to get a hold of me just call the mansion they can get you through. Once again thank you for the the time and assistance." Blink said genuinely happy to get their help and returned to the car one blake responds.

In the car:
"Wasp, lets get back to the mansion and then tell the others from there. If the avenger files have anything we can include that too it might give us more to tell the others. Like if there are any known Magia flunkies we can squeeze for info or tail." Blink took a moment to appreciate her own work then spoke up aggain, "And Wasp thanks for backing up. Investigation like that is not a common 'heroes' favorite activity. pretty sure there were a few dance clubs you would rather have been at."1d20·1d100·1d20

Spider-Man looks over at MJ and Hawkeye. "He's like 80! Awww...gross... Now I've got stupid sexy Steve stuck in my head... Umm... If they don't leave then... I dunno. I'm out of ideas. Normally, I have to figure out how to defeat a guy made of sand or how to stop a giant lizard, not how to infiltrate Captain America's date with the Black Cat."

"Dance clubs? Do I look 22 again?" Janet snickers. "No, thank you, I like parties with a bit more sophistication, and the men to match. What about you?"

MJ starts walking towards the fire escape. "Maybe I should go talk to Felecia, then."

Hawkeye looks at Spider-Man. "...your wife..and your ex, talking. Yeah, that can only go well." He coughs.

"They don't have clubs for old people like us?" Blink grinned as she joked, "Give me a guy with a decent sense humor, a level head and knows when to not take life too serious. I'm also not a fan of beards or overly muscled types. Beards and muscles are a sign of over-compinsation most of the time." she adds.

"Suppose I should let our field team know we have something." she said aloud and pulled out the avengers card.

"Blink here. I have an owner for the diamonds. I think we can use it to find out who Black cat may be stealing for. I have a think the pay off to BC and Sabretooth is a bit high it could be personal job but we can't rule out a Maggia rival. I'll need to look at the diamonds info before I consider that angle though. The diamands are owned by the Magia...Wasp and I are headed to HQ. I need a new suit and to pick up some More gear while I'm there I will put the security footage through our system as well. While that footage is being looked by the computer some of us that aren't on direct survielance can go hunting for flunkies. That sound like a plan, guys?"

Spider-Man waits until 10 minutes after Steve heads into his date with Felicia and then knocks on the window while hanging upside down.

Bill responds on the communicard. "Yeah, Blink, we'll see what we can do."

Felicia opens the window and hisses. "Not now, Spider. I've got...company." Spider-Man can tell Steve is in the next room and playing it very clueless. "Very cute company."
