Shroud's shot finds it way in through the man's armor, but he isn't killed, instead he flops around screaming as his companion trys to give first aid.
Dante controls a car and runs it towards one of the teams, but they shell it with gernades until it is a flaming wreck. Then they turn their attention on the entrance, their first shot misses, blasting away part of a wall. It is doubtful Dante's psychic wall will be able to withstand a direct hit from a 40mm gernade.

*Jeckle gives Tiger a 'thumbs up' .. and then moves closer to pat the gent down for 'toys' to help her own arsenal. 'damn .. am i hearing grenades? ... go on boss .. got'cher back'
*she then stands up and pockets the clip or smaller gun and her own tranq gun before following Tiger closer to the fray.

Khris flinched as the grenade slammed the wall. It was enough to make him stop humming and rethink. His sights shift to the soldier attending to the wounded and he fired another round. " Anyone downstairs copy?" He spoke into his hands free," You better get what you can out of that guy and get out of there or we're gonna get slammed. I saw a hatch up here so there must be another one inside there somewheres you can use to get out. do you copy? Cerebrum? Patriot? New kid who I don't know but is in there anyways?" [tag - didn't know what to call Miranda since Khris hasn't been introduced yet. Probably a good thing for her anyways  ] |

Miranda responds to Khris simply by saying "New Kid copies. Cerebrum is here with me, and is fine." Turning to Dante, she says "We need to get out of here now. It doesn't look like your wall is going to be able to take much more before it gives way." Miranda does her best to cautiously look for a safe way to exit, without getting shot.

Dante says, "Yeah this wall is almost gone, but I could call up an invisible wall directly in front of them, and then give them something to shoot at. If one of their grenades hits the wall close enough to them, then maybe they will take themselves out with the blast."

There is a stairway in the back of the buildng to the roof, "Shroud's right we can fight better if we aren't trapped in here!" Patriot growls and lunges towards the stairwell.
Outside Shroud quickly realizes that the roof of the building isn't very safe either, gernades keep exploding on the roof and against the wall. A hail of bullets is hitting all over the building. Two of the teams launching the gernades are visible to Shroud now, having moved to blast this side of the building, but if he stays exposed they are going to frag him or hit him with random gunfire for sure.
Tiger leaps up onto a building, runs across the roof, and jumps right down the other side. She readies her assault rifle, and uses her own underneath gernade launcher. Unlike the enemies 40mm gernades, Tiger's gernades are controlled charges. The first guy they hit is thrown backwards ten feet as if he got hit by a bus, and the second gets his head blown off. It is unclear if the first one was killed, but he doesn't get up right away. The other four grunts turn and fire at Tiger, and she dives move then seventy feet sideways to evade their fire. She is still moving towards them, and they start to look for cover. "I'm keeping this side distracted, if you can move, now would be a good time. It won't take them long to figure out there are only a couple of us out here." Tiger is calm and controlled, though she is sprinting forward.

" Crosshairs, you would have loved this." Khris muttered to himself before he flinched from a near miss ricocheting past him. " BLoody hell, this is getting ugly up here. Stop lollygagging in there and get up here before they get lucky and tag me." His aim shifted to one of the grenade delivering soldiers, squeezing off a round before shifting targets to one of his companions.

The first soldier Shroud hits falls and rolls under cover, it is unclear if he is getting out of the way or if he is hit. The second is nailed right in the neck, but he doesn't flinch, instead he sniffs slightly as if hoping to smell his adversary.
A grenade hits Dante's wall over the building entrace, blasting it to nothing. The guy Shroud just shot opens up, emptying the M4's magazine at the building entrance, pouring rounds into the building at random. A moment later, the first gernade flys into the building, impacts a wall and covers Wind Chill and Dante with bits of drywall and dust, barely missing them.

*jeckle, regretting the fact that she removed the leg harness, watches as Tiger sails away and then follows on foot.
*coming up on the backside of some of the shooters she remains in cover long enough to realize that they aren't the real problem, and chooses to go after the grenade launchers instead. she follows the strangely familiar thump-whoosh-BOOM and seems to emerge about a block behind them.
*she lifts the handgun and looks down the sight and then squeezes off a round into the launchers back .. and frowns as it seems to hit the armour instead of the neck she was aiming at. [6+3=9] she tries to become one with the garbin bin near her and tries to use some building shelter to block her from immediate view.
*a part of her mind seems to detact itself and then focuses on the building across from her .. the number of bricks fills her mind and the smells of the area floods her mind as she creates a mind cover for most of hte mind, and leaves just a tiney thread to cover the sounds of what's happening in the firefight.
*Jeckle hopes her attempt to distract will be enough to assist the other members to escape

When the grenade sailed into the building, something in Khris' head snapped. " Everyone better make their shots count and get out quick. I'm about to give you the distraction of a lifetime. Bosskitty, I hope you and Jeckle are ready out there." Khris hoped that both Tiger and Patriot would recognize the desperation in his tone as he flipped he switched his rifle's fire selector to automatic.
Dropping his camoflague, he stood and started in a run along the roof of the stripmall, hammering out a long burst of 7.62 mm that started towards the pair with grenades launchers before trailing wildly during his endlong run for the edge of the building. He knew professionals wouldn't chase him, but he would at least draw them from cover long enough for the others to either take out or bypass. Forgetting he was on an open channel, he sputtered, " What the hell was I thinking? One of those new kids better be a medic."

A gernade impacts where Shroud just was a moment ago, and the soldiers with a good angle all try to machine gun him.
Scrapnel and bullets hit Shroud in at least a dozen places, yet they are all deflected by the armor Tiger gave him. The armor itself is pretty chewed up, though not completely useless yet, and it probably couldn't withstand another near hit from a gernade or a good shot.
When Shroud starts his run, Tiger calmly takes down two shooters with her own gernade launcher, and nearly gets a third. That Tiger and Jeckle have stopped some of the shooters is just about all the kept Shroud from being fragged.
One of the soldiers that Tiger hit dead on with her gernade launcher gets back up. "Be wary," Tiger says over the comm line, "They have at least one tough guy."

Dante says to Wind Chill, "If we stay we die, if we run we might make it, Its time to run they don't seem the type to take prisoners." He then reaches over grabs Wind Chill by the arm and pulls her as they head for the staircase.
Over the radio he says, "Wind Chill and I are withdrawing now. What do we do with the sniper?"

"Leave him," Tiger says flatly. "As long as we have some information. If you think he has more worthwhile things to tell us, then take him with you."

As they pass by the sniper Dante says, "Sorry man we gotta go, and whoever is out there doesn't seem to care to much that your in here. Later."
Dante continues to urge on Miranda as they make their way to the stairs and begin their assent. He glances back at the sniper and and feels bad he is being left to die, but there is nothing he can do about it now.
"Patriot, Miranda and I are at the stairs. I'll wait here at the bottom. If you pull back I will slow them down with another wall, then we can break for it."
