Chapter 68: Now to get outta here! (Team)

Tom sighs. "Seriously? " Tom magnetically animates his braces to simulate walking to get up and go inside, but not before a last kiss with Beth. "I'll do my best."

Deci done with her laptop puts it away, and looks around at the group that is left. "Well I guess that is that. Any suggestions on what to do or anything along those lines." She says doing her best to be as scoiable as possible.

Since that had happened to him before, Isamu tried not to react to the bugs, and slid his hand in the opposite direction they were going so they were not under his hand. He leaned forward an kissed her to hide any reaction that would cross his facial features.

It is a short kiss that he breaks and leans back and says, "as tempting as that sounds my love, it has been 4 days since we decided to go. I fear delaying in telling her any longer would not be fair to her. Now that you have better cemented our plans, we should let her know so she can be prepared should anything arise."

He then leans forward and kisses her again and then gives her a little smirk, "but can you hold those thoughts for later," he says this time being suggestive. He hoped that his rejection would be seen more as a delay, than him being put off by her bugs.

Long smiles and taps the offered fist.
Turning to Alice, "I think I would definitely like to stay with the police department. If you would like for me to work with you guys again that would be nice. I could be 'on call'. It would be good to have a secret identity. I think I could do the most good that way. Please, think about it. Come on, Trevor. Let us go take care of business."
Long starts heading for the door.

"Try to have fun." Beth said as she returned the kiss, then grabbed her keys and was out the door. Jason was waiting," Oh man, no one told you. You can bring your chair if it's easier. The table's custom made, with a pneumatic lift. Mac had it made for me before I had my surgery, and when we came here, he had it brought in since it cost a fortune. The whole..., come on, I'll show you then you can decide." He started towards the rec room.


Isamu got to his feet, and did something totally out of character for him from what Alice had seen. He gave her a big hug," Thanks Alice. Allison would be glad we settled things. " He gave a sniff as he let her go and wiped his eyes before following Long. " Let's go then and get this over with. A secret identitiy huh? We could get you a padded green jumpsuit and call you Ass Kick like in the movie." he chuckled

As Deci waited for Sara and Siobhan to answer, her cellphone chirped a text receive. It was from her mom, Free for lunch tomorrow with us?

Ashley lay back on the bed, drawing her knees up so her feet were on the bed. "I suppose I can wait." She smirked as folded her hands behind her head, leaving a somewhat suggestive pose. " go talk to Alice. I can't see her having an issue."

As Isamu backed into the hall, Trevor and Long were just going passed and Trevor shouted back the hall, " We won't be long Alice, but we'll grab band-adios on the way out."

Deci looks at her spare cell phone and sees the text and thinks before responding, Lunch with Mon and Dad. I have not had that since I was really, really young. That would be so much fun. Well despite what I saw! And with that immediately texts back. 'Ok will do. Just name the time and place and I will be there!'

With that she puts down her phone and waits for a response. Maybe I can pick up a new phone or something. Oh maybe a phone and and IPAD. That would be cool too!

"Oh gee, what to do next?" Sara says. "I'm up for anything you girls what to try out. I'll do anything at least once."

Long gives a fake little laugh.
"Oh, you. With the jokes. No. I will keep it simple with my costume. I already have something in mind." A short pause, and then, "What are 'band-adios'?"

"Sure thing." Tom says as he follows Jason.

With Ashley's pose on the bed, Isamu reluctantly leaves the room. Watching Trevor and Long leave, he raises an eyebrow, but says nothing glad they have already started to defer to Alice.

He heads out into the house looking for Alice so he can talk with her about taking a vacation.

When he finds her he says, "Alice when you have a moment, can I speak with you?"

Alice returns the hug, a bit surprised and worried. Hoping she was worrying over nothing, Alice quickly scans his mind to make sure.

Once she has done this and Trevor and Long have left, Alice turns to Isamu and says, "Sure, what's up?"

Sio smiles to Sara, shifting a little to better face her and Deci. "Kind of a long story.. Mac and the other higher-ups stumbled over me, sorta, and asked me to join em.. after a shakedown mission they assigned me here. Just a couple of days ago actually. I'm still getting my feet wet." the blonde adds, shrugging a bit. "I take it you were part of the team, then left?"

At Deci's question, Sio shrugs a little. "I was thinking of going for a dip.. it's far too nice of a day to be cooped up inside."

Isamu offers her a polite smile and a head nod, "yes I wanted to speak with you about turning over all my responsibilities here back to you for a short time. I think the weight of leadership is proving to be too great a weight to bear for an extended time without any reprieve. After what December had to go through due to my actions, I do not know that I should lead at all," his insecurities bubbling up.

He pauses and shakes his head, "I am sorry that is not what I wanted to ask. Would you mind terribly if Ashley and I leave for a time? She would like to visit her family much as you and Jason did with your family."

"I wasn't recruited by Mac the first time around. I was actually working against them working for the Mayor before I wised up and ditched him." Sara says. She sits up rolling her neck.

"After that I went after Homicide and the rest you guys now."

Looking over to Deci. "How about it? Sio has a good idea about going swimming."

Alice nods at Isamu as she replies, "Sure, that's fine. When were you planning on leaving? Do you know how long you were planning on being gone for?"
