Thay leans against a wall in the empty common room and thinks for a moment. "Well, that depends, do we want something complected or simple? Should it make some kind of statement in general or should we make one large Coat with a little piece for each of us in it like a color wheel of some kind or perhaps some kind of picture to represent each of us such as an animal or the like?"

Falbera looks around as they are shown the school. When brought into the large room with nothing in it she says nothing, when she sees her bag she goes over and with her back to the students undoes the cape she was using as a hood and puts one of her hoods.

She walks back into the common room and walks around. She says, "perhaps the symbol for the school in the center and surrounding it an image of an item that reflects each one of us. Or our skills. For instance a musical note to depict the song mage, and axe for myself, and so on."

Tath smiles to Thay and Falbera both. "Seems like you two are on similar pages... I definitely approve of the ideas." she replies, perhaps a little more haughtily than she intended for it to come out. "I've seem some heraldic shields that were riots of color and symbols, so keeping it fairly simple seems wisest course of action. Perhaps a solid background color, the symbol for the school in gold and our personal symbols in silver?"

Thay shrugs. "But why must we include the schools Coat? We are our own people, let us show that, we won't be here forever. Now as for the colors and symbols. I have never been partial to Gold and Silver, far to common in the world and to "high class" for us. We may be the elite of the world but i think such colors are no good in a coat of arms unless they are earned in deeds."

D'fel nodded to Donial, though he did not see it as favortism, only practical since he did not fit in either a normal bed or clothing, since he could not remember another student with a tail since Father had allowed him to observe classes. Then as he glanced down at it, his tail gave him an idea. " Prehaps the background color of the crest could be similar to that of my scales? Then on it we place images of Falbera's Axe and Tath's swords crossed, with Cici's note above and Thay's bow below. I do not present anything that would give such an image, and I forsee myself as being there to back up each of you, but not necessarily lead." He thought for a moment before speaking again. " I also have two suggestions for our pod's rules. First, no member will ever be left by the others to stand alone. And second, we accept members for who they are, not what they are or they represent." He looked at the others for their input.

Thay's eyes lit up at D'fels idea and immediately he spoke up. "You have inspired me with an idea D'fel! Let us make the background not only colored to your scales but scale up the background itself as if we had taken a sheet of your skin and used it as the crest base and then do as you suggested with the symbols. As for a secondary color, i would like to suggest a Trimming of perhaps a deep blue, for the sky and ocean, to represent freedom."

Finally Cee-Cee speaks up, "I will let you all pick, I just hope that maybe you take some consideration of the layout of the place. Just don't make the place pink, I mean I have no idea what that colour is but I am told never to really like it at all, or it does not suit me at all. Either way that is the only concern I have!" Having put her two cents in she returns to the background to be ignored like the others have.

(OOC - One more week of discussion and I will probably be closing up this chapter shortly after. I have some more but this week is staycation)

D'fel nodded," That sounds acceptable, Thay. CiCi, you have as much input as the rest of us as part of this pod. I agree, no pinks." He said warmly

As Thay and D'fel voice suggestions, Tath grins and nods to them. "I like the ideas, especially having the background be scale-ish. A blue trim would look nice. For the symbols, I don't see why we each couldn't choose the color for our own.. I for one would prefer purple, or maybe azure.." she chips in.

Looking around the room, she frowns a little, trying to imagine it filled with furniture, then turns her gaze b ack to D'fel. "I am in full accord with you on your suggestions for rules."

Falbera wanders around the room. As she does so she listens to the others before chiming in again, "I would like to include the school symbol somewhere on it. After all, it is because of the school we are together, it is because of the school we have this opportunity, and it is this school that is meant to train us to be true warriors. Not acknowledging that could seem...um...I don't know, maybe disrespectful."
