At the mention that this group is her "pod" and that they will be learning together, Falbera looks up and down the table at those near her.

She finishes the last of her bread and grabs her cup of ale and takes a large gulp. She thinks, 'great now I will have to work even harder. I can't expect these weakling elves to even carry their own weight."

She says, "so we will have to live and work together? I wonder if that means if our achievements will be weighed together as well. I had thought we would be judged as individuals."

Tath looks from D'fel to Falbera, eyes widening slightly at Fal, then turns her gaze to Ceecee and Thay. "Five of us, it looks like. .." she comments, then looks b ack to Falbera and smiles slightly. "I wouldn't be surprised if it was a mixture of both things, afterall some things just arn't meant for teamwork." the tall elf adds before shrugging. "If we've all been selected for being the b est, I don't see how we could fail." Tath finishes, tone full of confidence.

Thay nods at Tath and smiles. "I commend your confidence but do not let that turn to cockiness. Remember that any force, no matter how big, strong, or experienced, can be defeated with just a little bit of bad luck. We must work together, as a family to make sure there are no weaknesses. I myself am an excellent sniper, a decent fighter and scout but i am not that knowledgeable in the ways of the world, outside of the eastern territory."

"He is right." D'fel nodded to Tath. " In order to suceed, we need to learn how to compliment each other's expertise, such as my skills are in hand to hand combat, with or without a weapon. My training allows me to do well against others, but against archers or wizards, without others to support me I would not last long."

Thay looks to D'fel. "Well then, i will make sure to hide behind you as i shoot at the enemy down. and let you take the brunt of the arrows." Chuckling softly, Thay eats small spoon fulls of his dessert, letting it go down slow so he may savor the flavor.

The elf who seemed quiet up until this point seems to be delving into her dessert. "I am afraid my abilities really and truly have little to do with combat. Well I guess they could aid in certain situations and although I am blind I do have an ability as I have mentioned in the past I have an ability to get around that. I am in essence a song mage or some call us magic bards I guess. I can defend myself in close combat but obviously because of my lack of sight can not do much against ranged." (OOC - You can quickly comment/speak to her before next part happens)

It is at this point that one of the older students from you table approaches. "Recruits and newbies. I am Donial and will be your, well for lack of better words liason for adapting to the school. Now stand, introduce yourselves and we will be off."

When Tath's eyes widen while looking at Falbera, she puts down her ale and reaches up to check her hood. Finding it had fallen off her head, she grabs it and pulls it back down to hide her face once again.

She can't believe that they are again being asked to introduce themselves. She stands and says, "I am Falbera Dedukr of the Family Dedukr. Who can I toast for such a great meal," she asks as he picks up her ale and takes a big swallow.

"Not everyone must do the fighting."D'fel pointed out just before Donial joined them. He stood as directed, "I am call D'fel Shimra, chosen son of instrutor Ronsen. Father beleives it is time I joined a class."

Thay stands up. "I am Thay, sniper and scout."

Tath frowns a little at Thay and D'fel's responses. "Well and so, but if you don't let yourself have confidence, then you're setting yourself up to fail." she responds, her tone firm with conviction. Having to introduce herself once more seems to draw a little ire, b ut she nods to the liason. "Tathiyanna of the Strongblade family, at your service!"

Donial then does respond, "I know it all sucks for you introducing yourselves over and over again, but that is part of life and unfortunately this place has not gotten around to putting names to parchments and given tags with your names affixed. But that will be for the day I become headmaster. And mark my words I will get there one day. Now come along." And with that he takes you all and leads you through the maze that is the school.

Eventually he leads you to a large door with a blank space on it as if for a coat of arms or something.

"Now you all can come together to design a coat of arms to represent your pod but can discuss that tonight. Inside you will find a common room and the two dorm rooms." At that point he opens the door. "I will be here if you have questions but go forth and explore."

Common room and yes there is no furniture right now.



And if you go to the bedrooms, Keep in mind palladium not real world (so no cross, etc...) Your bags and stuff if any is in here.

D'fel scoffed as Donial pledged to be headmaster, but did not elaborate. Once led to the room, he looked around. It did not suprise him that although the others belongings had been brought to the room, only his cloak and staff had arrived. He looked at the furniture and scowled," I will have to see Father and ask his permission to bring things from my room that are more accomodating. And clothing, there are few students that require allowance for a tail."

Thay smiles at the older students promise to be headmaster, having always thought that overconfidence was indeed one trait that would always undo a man.

Upon ariving at the dorm room, Thay looks inside and notices there is no furniture. He looks to the older student. "Excuse me, but where is there to be furniture in this room for us?"

Today is day 7, Dome Yote, Where are your posts?

Donial starts by looking at D'fel. "You can ask but there is a task first and I don't think the other students would like favouritism at all. Nor do the instructors, but..." and is at this point he looks at Thay, "....We have a task for you all and that is to come up with a coat of arms and colour scheme for your pod. Once that is done then we will be getting your furniture and allow you to set it up. But don't you fret, you will be getting everything that is needed for your individual needs."

He stops and looks at the two that have not spoken yet before returning to speaking to all. "Now the other thing I would suggest is a draft of rules that you will have to come to accord with as you will. I will be back before lights out which is in about five hours to see what you have come up with. Now are there any other questions before I leave?"

Tath looks between the group, then to Donial. "Rules, like.. on top of the regular school rules?" she inquires, a little puzzled by this activity. Looking around the empty room, the lanky elf makes her way over to the window, and pulls herself up to sit on the edge, her legs dangling down to the floor.

"What do you all think? I've always been partial to purples myself.."
